Sorry to read about your N17 being lost. That sucks!!!!! I got my Nosin P-51 back in the air Sunday after changing out the main gear to the much HD. All flights went great. Look forward to doing some more formation flying with you. Ron

RE: Spectrum receivers
We had a couple show up in trainers this spring and all them suffered major brown outs. Planes were grounded until RX was replaced. Total junk and unsafe.

I only use A-123 2300 mah. Two on the Jr fail safe rx and one on the engine. Best thing going!!! I get mine from Radical RC.com. Ron

If you got a little time strip the covering and fiberglass her. I just finished my older H9 P-47 150 arf About 50hrs of work well worth it. Painted with latex house paint, 45cc motor, Robart air retracts, A-123 batt. JR power safe rx. Ron

My H9 P-47 arf at last years flying circus had the right wing depart due to the wing bolt backing out. Completey rebuilt her with fiberglass cloth, and painted with latex house paint. Back in the air last Friday. Ron

Thanks for the comment! Flaps max is 40% and I have 12deg. of down ele. mixed in. I use max flaps allways on landing. Start out high down wind half flap, turn final drop flap to full and drop nose to runway with a little throttle. Ron

I switched every thing over to A123 Life 2s 2300 two years ago, best thing I ever did. (Radical RC or Electo Dynamics Inc) No cycling, hold charge over the winter, fast charge. Check them out! Ron

Wasn't sure this form was still up and running. Started building my C47 this past Oct 2010 and just last week finished it May 2011 (450hrs) Thanks to the help of this form. Running G38 engines, Bila 17x10 3 blade carbon props, B&B mufflers, smoke system, Painted with exteror latex paint. 2lb nose weight to balance with a total dry weight of 45lb. JR fail safe RX w/4 remotes and two 2300mah A123 batterys. Just waiting on dry weather here in Ohio to get the maiden in. Thanks Ron

Brad Do you still tow the waco glider with your C-47. I am building the Ziroli C47 this winter and a couple guys in the club are interested in building a scale glider for are air shows. Looking for more info Thanks Ron

Take a look a the RCGF 52cc twin. I just put one in a GP 1/3 scale Pitts. It fits great! I have one of these engines running in a 1/3 scale spacewalker and it has preformed super.

Saturday weather turned out to a surprise. Sunny and low to no wind. Was able to Maiden my Spacewalker with the 50 CC twin. See the video on RC Univ. The motor ran perfect!! In the video you can see the RPM numbers (prop is a 20x10 zinger) Ron

Saturday the weather turned out to be great so it was time to maiden the SW. You can check out the video on RC Univ. All went great motor ran perfect. Crosswind blew up on landing but the Robart landing gear saved the day.

Cooling may be a problem I agree. I have built in some cooling ducks in the top cowl to flow air around the back of the cylinders. The lower cowl has two large openings in the front and a large opening in the rear to get rid of the hot air. I will be takeing temp. reading for several flights to see if I need to open up the air intakes. Thanks Ron

How sweet it is!! Just fired up my 50CC twin for the first time. Runs perfect. Without touching a needle. Idles at 1600 and max out at 7800 using a xoar 20x10 prop. I am using a 20 oz tank is that about the right size? Thanks Ron
