RE: EXM SPORT JET
Very cool. Looks like a nice clean design and being made of wood makes it that much more appealing to me. Can't wait to see one. Looks like you have a great line up of dealers around the world.

RE: Just pay it forward!
Ron I am interested in the 339 wing and tanks. I think I bought your old one from Sean a couple years ago. A mishap at RT66 damaged the tanks and cracked the wing.

RE: Composite P-47 scratch build
The detail is awesome. I wish there were more kits out there that were not smooth. They really need that oil canned look to be right. Any plans on offering kits?

RE: 70th Doolittle Raiders Reunion (Last Chance?)
Very cool. Wish I could make it over. I spent a lot of time in the nose of Axis Nightmare when the Georges owned her. These groups are fading into history. They closed down the Pear Harbor Survivor Association as of Dec. 31 due to not enough left. True American hero's.

I watched Mike fly the Hawk yesterday and he knows what he is doing. Looked great. His install is neat and clean. Very tidy inside.

RE: 1/4 Scale Luscombe
I believe JMD is closed. I seem to remember the owner passing before to many of these kits got out. He had a Globe Swift that I would love to have as well. If anyone has one please let me know.

RE: 1/4 Scale Luscombe
The airplane was built as a Fabric winged version which will be getting sheeted with Fliteskin to make a metal winged Luscombe. In doing so the struts needed to be changed from a 2 piece strut with a jury strut to a single strut. This also allowed me to drop the strut attachment point on the fuse to a scale location. It was about 1.5" to high.

RE: Lado E-door actuators
Gary I have been using the Figelli Linear actuators for a while on canopies. You might give one of them a try. I have an Extra L12 100mm 100/1 if you would like to try it. http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/figelli-L12-100mm-100-1-Linear-Actuator.aspx

RE: 1/4 Scale Luscombe
This one kind of fell in my lap. I have been making a lot of changes. I hope next month to be shooting paint. Here are some more pictures. I got the dash completed. I put the receiver power switch and two charge jacks in the glove box and the throttle is the switch for the ignition. Also I got the landing lights installed. Last I had to change the shape of the stabs as my uncles plane has late model stabs with early model surfaces. The early stabs had rounded tips which were later changed out to a square tip to ease construction.

1/4 Scale Luscombe
A little progress on my 1/4 JMD Luscombe. The engine kit is from Topnotchkits. It is plywood and painted. I then mounted it to my Zenoah G20. The instruments are from Iflytailies. I used plywood for the base of the panel and 1/32 fiberglass sheet in the area that is stepped out and the glove box. The wood is 1/32 ply that has been stained. The control sticks are made from K&S tubing that has been bent and a dowel drilled out to fit the tubing and then stained with the same stain as the dash. It is slow goings but I hope to have the plane done by May 1 and then take it to the Nats in July.

Thunderbolt, Where did you get you tip tank lights and the light on the fuse? I have been wanting to add lights to mine I just have not found any that look close yet. Graeme made some for the T-33 he is doing but they are not commercially available.

RE: p51-mustang do you know?
Originally the plane had an ASP 91 Red Head in it so I can see that happening. I have not seen Ted in years. Last I heard he was up by Bath. Which field are you flying at?

RE: p51-mustang do you know?
That is a Top Flight P-51 built by Ted Conley. Not sure where he is now but he was living in Springfield IL when he built that plane.

Super Coverite Gee Bee D
I picked up this kit a few months ago from a buddy. While waiting for Thanksgiving turkey to cook I decided to punch out the parts. This must have been a later run kit as the dies were pretty worn. I got everything out and then cleaned up. Monday I started glueing parts together. The only change I am making to the kit is to run dual aileron servos in the wings instead of the bellcrank set up. The power will come from a Saito 56. This is going to be an old school build. I have never silk and doped and airplane but this one will get that treatment. Should be fun. Here are some pictures from where I am on the kit as of now.

RE: Warbird Name
I flew mine a couple weeks ago with a Saito 125 and it flew very well. 25mph winds 90deg to the runway so I did not get to test the flaps but a solid performer. I used the stock retracts with zero issues.

RE: kingtech 195 / 220 are these going to happen
Last I heard they were coming. King Tech does a lot of R&D and testing before releasing products. This is the reason so many of us out there are enjoying the motors we have. I am sure Barry will chime in here shortly.

RE: ROUTE 66 JETS
Well I have been to all the Rt 66 events but this was my first time as a Pilot. I did not do so well but had a good time. I would like to thank everyone for helping me track down the fuel tank issues from Thursday but embarrassed myself with my last landing on Saturday. We will be back. I would like to say that the Kingtech 170 worked well and made great power for the 3 flights I was able to get in.
