Autogyro kits like the PT 25 can be obtained from www.flyingbalsa.com Some have looked at aerobalsa.com and found out they are out of BLADES which they manufacture. Not Autogyro kits. Jim

RE: Bert Baker BT-13
I built an Bert Baker kit in 2006 BT-13 (SNV-1) I used a G-62 as that is what I had. It calls for a .60 size Glow. Not sure if that wa big ebough to make it taxi. I thought mind was 100" wing span. Took mind to Oshkosh to show it with the full size and then to St. Charles, IL for a giant scale meet.. Got stolen there. Jim

RE: Where is the aerobalsa How-to page gone??
I am sure that it cost Mike some money to keep up that website as started by "Jim Baxter".. I to found it gone. I did download it many years ago before Mike took it over. There was a lot of good info there. You might e-mail Mike at Aerobalsa.com and ask. Also if you go to RC Groups.com there is a sticky from Mickey Nowell that talks about Autogyro's and how it flys. Read that a couple of times it may help. Jim

RE: 16th Annual Model Autogyro's Meet
Joel, Glad to see that you are back on.. I do spend more time looking at RC Groups as that seems to be more Autogyro's there. I do plan on taking 4 Autogyros to fly. I will be staying in a tent and driving Lu's HHR Chevolet. I did try to fly a Sig 1/4 Cub conerted to a Autogyro. First flight when good and landed in tall grall and had a rotor strike. You can see a few pictures on RCGroups. You guys take care out west. Jim

PT 25 E
I just finished building another PT 25 and this one is powered by Volts. Althought I have built several of these kits that Mark and John put out at Flying Balsa.com, I just can't remenber when a kit manufactuer put into one box all that they do clear down to the toothpicks needed. Plus wheel collor, wheels, pins, nuts, bolts, etc. Good job boys. With this PT 25 I should be taking 5 Autogyro's to the Mentone Flyin. See you there. Jim

Terry, I have built an RPG Pusher(electric) and it does need down thrust also. It looks like upthrust from the rear. Look up the RPG on RC Groups. Jim

RE: LeO C-30 maiden flight:first crash NEED HELP PLEASE !!
Hang angle is simular to what we did when we checked the cg on our fixed wing aircraft, where we wanted the nose of airplane to hang low.. Hang angle is about the same but if you would hang your Autogyro from the center hub of blades you would want your Autogyro to hang down about 15 degrees say measued at stab or somewhere that was level. Also we tend to have more downthrust in the engine also. Jim
