6EX setup for Elevons
I have an Autogyro setup like Elevons for the head but I have the Elevator reversed. I am in channel 1 & 2. Anything I do to change it make the Ailerons work as elevators. Help. Thanks, Jim

RE: Gyro Newbe needs Help!
Marty, I would get Glenn Curtis to help you a little. Anyway. You need to hold the Slow Stick into the air with the wind blowing and walk into the wind a watch the blades spin up and make sure that they are both spinning good.. On the ground you have to wait for them to spin up and lift off, you cannot pull it off or it will do what is been doing, going right or left because the blades have not reachedthe speed it needs.. Just don't get into a hurry to take off. A hand launch might be good also, into the wind when you hear the rotors whistling. Jim

RE: Power questions
I have had simular problems with the power..You must build very light. You have to realize that the rotors do creatate a lot of DRAG. I tried the PT with an .07. and a PT Profile with the .15 and both did fly.. The PT .25 flys good on a .25. Just go a step higher in power and back off if it is too much.. See you at Muncie. Leaving here on June 11th. Jim

Alexandria, Don't use Heli blades.. I would use Aero Balsa Blades if I could. Other wise use a Clark Y flat bottom blade. I work in pounds so don't know kg.. Maybe 36" blades almost one meter. Jim

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
Chuck, As you can see in an earlier post the date is June 16, 17, 18, 2009 There are at least 6 flying sites at Muncie and there would have been 2 RC groups on that weekend and the other group had first dibs because they were there last year..We will be flying on a grass 600 x 600 and they will be on the cross runways on the other side of the hill. We will have the Freq. pins and still fly on 2.4 as can others who come to visit , but just at a different site. Jim

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
I got the Paperwork from AMA this week.. They did have us scheduled with another group so after a few phone calls we are getting the 600x600 field on June 16-17-18 2009.. That is not a weekend it is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.. The only way now we can get a weekend at AMA is for all of us to be on 2.4 ghz. Since we are not all on that band we have to take what is left.. We will try it for 2009 and if it don't work out we will try someplace else out on a weekend. Thanks for you your input. Jim

Gary, Wow what a nice looking field..Looks like the Jets love it. I could have the event at my home field which is all grass an about 100 acres and could take off in most any direction.. Then people could visit Fantasy of Flight, Disney World, and many other place in the area. I think whats been nice at Morris and Muncie has been that we have a field that will allow us to take off into the prevaling wind most of the time. Just my thoughts. Jim
