RE: Cant see my damn airplane !
One other thought... I have seen tech articles on visibility enhancements stressing high contrast for better visibility . So does not have to be yellow ,, Black and white stripes work well .... White on navy blue. .. Red/white What ever colors goes better on your scale look but get some contrast Also keeping top wing scale, but add contrast on bottom side of wing. Used some of various color tapes which can be removed to test out. So getting some scale looking contrast High contrast does help out on the on what I tried out without using yellow Just another angle

Fuel Tank replacement hardware fittings ... what to use and where to purchase ?? i have a V1 Tornado ,,, the tank was not drawing fuel correctly ... so pulled out fittings to inspect and found the rubber in stopper was bad shape and needs replacing along with the rest of the tubing inside the tank. i purchased this plane used , so do not know what original fittings package was used . any one know what to purchase for replacement ? also ,,, with this long stock fuel tank , would i still extend the clunk line from the stopper to almost to the back wall of the fuel tank ? ok, thanks, Joe

Habu 32 - hitec servos ? castle ice ESC ? ..
hi , putting together stock eflite habu 32... any one know which hitec servo model numbers will fit in with no modifications ? i think i want to go digital servo also will castle ice 100 ESC connect to the stock efilite motor with NO changing connectors ? any programming required on the castle esc ? i was thinking down the road the ice 100 esc would give more options down the road than the stock eflite esc , but have not used a castle esc before. thanks, Joe

anyone found simulator and with supplied model which does pretty good job on practicing with Tornado ? i just got a new to me used Tornado i am still working on, but wanted to get some sim time before flying first flight. i have a older RamJet 500 ,,, so i presume there will be quite abit of throttle lag ... so hoping to find simulator i can modify throtle lag to match. just seeing if anyone has some direct experience with sims and the Tornado ? note... from what i have seen on post realflight or aerofly seem to be jet sims. thanks, Joe

nose wheel steering problems on Parkzone Habu ?
hey, i have the parkzone Habu and it seems like sometimes it way oversteers nosewheel on take off sometimes. maybe other times i get lucky and control it ok and it stays centered down the runway. nose wheel seems to be centered ok, i put nose wheel servo on another channel and used program mix to cut down sensitivity to like 30%. so total throw seems ok. anyway looking at wheel to shaft maybe has too much play , woble ... anybody use different nose wheel ? other hardware mods on nose gear to make it more stable ? while were on topic ,,, anyone found other type wheels in general seems to work better than the stock wheels for landings on main gear ? well thanks for any input !! RE: what methods du you use to balance your jet
well i am new to the jet world , so no first hand cg comments.. but i am in middle of cg my first jet... and found this in manual.. see attachment pic ... it is modellbau Tornado ... it does indicate weighing method is more accurate ... and gives the cg based on weight at nose wheel,,, no calcs required. anyway, this seems easy method , just slip scale under front wheel... so i was going to just go with this method on first try. ?? question now after reading the directions again ... so "full UAT" ... does this imply do the CG with empty fuel tank then ?? it did not indicate empty or full main tank when doing CG .. thanks

[quote]ORIGINAL: John Tancock I made the nose removable after a nose gear failure! [&o] I used it for mounting the turbine battery, it worked well on mine to get the c of g right. It's attached via a screw thread right at the nose tip! I'm not sure that this will work for you, but if you like I can upload some pics to show how it was done. John.
