RE: Hero 2 SD
Have you tried saving the video to your computer first? My thinking is the SD cards have to be high speed for video and you simply may have an interuption in the stream due to the speed of the card not being able to supply data quickly enought to make a solid stream of data. Try saving it first, before getting another card. If you do need another card try to buy as fast spped as you can afford.

RE: cant play back renamed photos
This may seem too simple, but are you renaming the file suffix to? Such as img2929.jpg ? I'm not sure why you need to rename the files but if you want to save them to the computer don't delete them from the SD card and leave the name alone for those files. Then the files on your computer you can name as you wish. I just don't think your camera will recognize the files otherwise. IMHO Dean

remote glow ?
I have the Great Planes Extra 300 Patty Wagstaff, with a 2.2 Saito, and I've always had problems starting, and I'm 90% sure my Hanger 9 remote glow is the problem. I seem to remember others having problems with these to, is there a fix for this unpredictable accessory. I'm real tempted to ditch the darn thing and go straight to the glow plug, its just a safety issue since the engine is inverted. Your help is appreciated. Thanks Dean OKC

RE: Triggering a remote strobe?
There are some gadgets you can buy (optical slave) the fire the other flash, as your flash fires, you would want to make sure the room is lit well enough that the camera does not fire its flash to assist the auto focus and take the camera off red eye reduction. I would like to see some of the shots your talking about. You can try to up you ISO to 800-1600 just be aware of the increaded noise you might get especially if you under expose? There are times you have to go to full manual on a Point and Shoot and experiment with the different settings. The optical slave I'm talking about canbe found here. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/109466-REG/Kaiser_201501_Hot_Shoe_Flash_Slave.html I hope this helps.

RE: Nikon D300
If you own a DSLR now and are familiar with all its possible setting, ISO, continuious focusing, Apeture and Shutter priority, I think you'll do fine with a D300. It is a wonderful camera, no I don't have one I'm a Canon shooter, but Nikon's new cameras are amazing, the D3 and D700 are masterpieces of engineering. If you struggle with a point and shoot you might stay away but, I think you'd love a D300. IMHO.

RE: Free "Photoshop type" kind of programs?
I'm not sure about free, but, you can get your self a copy of Photoshop elements 2 or 3 and do a lot with it,and at a very reasonable price. Check e-bay and you can probably get a good price or B&H Photo Video. Check it out and see what you think.

RE: Help editing pic, not a plane
MARWEN, Thanks for the help, I'm self taught and there are a lot of things I have NOT accomplished in PS. I can't believe I have waited this long to check out this forum, I have taken a passive interest in the website for a few years while I was persuing my photography hobby and building a few museum pieces for a local collector. This forum is AWESOME, and I'm always eager to learn. Thanks

RE: Aviation photography tutorial
John, Those are some wonderful shots. Great job!! The focus sharpness is perfect even in the action shots. I also use an Image Stabilazition Lens, I upgraded from a non IS and love it. I did notice on small defect on a few of you photos I fight all the time and that is dust on your sensor. Its usually only visible in sky shots but easily fixed in PS and I understand they now have a sensor cleaning kit that can be had for around $50 and is better than a puffer. Keep up the good work.

OS 91 Surpass (4 stroke) Exhaust
Has anyone came up with a solid fix for the OS 91 Surpass exhaust port? I have an extra engine that need new threads in the exhaust port. I surmise it has been run with no support to the mufler and the vibration eat away at the threads. I was thinking of using a helicoil if I can find one the corect size or even close to the correct size and making a new exhaust pipe with stainless steel tube. Thanks Dean

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Do you have any experience with the new 220. I'm especially interested in it performance, Im thinking of using 220 on my Patty Wagstaff Extra 300. All my buddies recommend a DA 50 but I like 4 strokes and want to have something different. What do you guys think?

RE: SAITO 220
I would be glad to see the prop/ RPM test. I am thinking of the 220 on my Patty Wagstaf instead of a gas engine. I love 4 strokes and I think I can save some weight with the Saito. Your thoughts?

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying
does anyone know the thickness of the trailing edge where the ailerons will be glued in. the reason I ask is fairly obvious, if its 1/2 - 3/4 think pin point hinges should be fine. since its an ARF its an unknown quantity. I just got my Patty on Saturday and look forward to the first flight, I have heard a lot of good things. Thanks

Bird Dog
HI Guys, I would like to scratch build a Giant Scale Bird Dog L-19. I have not been able to find a set of plans. Do any of you have an idea where I might find a good set? I would rather not build a kit but I may have to stoop to that if I can't find the plans. Any thought on the best kit? Thanks
