RE: Any RC plans for the weekend?
Well I'm only on the ground with 1/10 modified chassis for a ST thats working out real well so the rest of the week end will be cutting and drilling on a clean prototype. Man I wish I had time to get out to the track, really getting the urge again after the last 100 years well about 10 or 12 anyway. At least there should be a ROAR track here in the next month or so. Got so many fires going, should have the 1/10 on the ground and then its off to a dual servo steering 1/8 XTM with front and rear CVD's and almost 3/4 of an inch wider than any other on the market. Going out on a limb with this being so damn heavy but there won't be any chassis flex [;)] and 3 oz isn't that much if it takes away problems. Its funny that most guys are trying to find time to run there RC's and I'm trying to find something normal to do any more [X(] but I enjoy what I'm doing this year a lot more than last. I will be out with some park flyers this week end if the darn wind will go away [:D] batteries are all charged just in case [;)]

RE: What information does anyone have on the redcat rampage 4x4 truck and the XRC King Kong truck
Redcat is good (GOT MONEY?) if you love being a hobbiest and want the best preformance add about a grand to the price of the RC or if your just a kick around guy that wants to have with a big scale model there very good. Only real flaw is the pins in the dog bones, other than that lots of good fun and not to expensive. Most of these guys in here are animals....they love this stuff and even if they bought a $2000.00 truck it would need $1500 of upgrades. 1/5 is not for the weak pocket book thats all there is to it. Good Luck and happy RC'en

RE: XTM X-Termanator
You can make a motor mount out of a peice of L channel aluminum (OSH) pretty easy, I'm not sure about the gear mesh but if you search the forum on the Global site I'm sure you will find some good information there. I've seen at least to conversions in those forums. [:D]

RE: monster truck with a starterbox
All you need to do on most models is put on a larger flywheel and have an engine flush chassis AKA flat chassis. Not sure about others but the XTM comes stock with a 37mm flywheel but if you want to use a starter box they stock a 39mm flywheel or there are even larger flywheels by other manufacturers. Second choice is to shave the motor mounts to get the flywheel close enough to use the starter box [:D]

RE: Brushless conversion for OLD MP-6 inferno ?
[quote]ORIGINAL: Scott Schneider Old RC car guy here .... Went and raced slash trucks this weekend after being away for 10 years or so, and while fun .... was really jazzed watching the converted 1/8 scale buggies with wedge bodies on the banked dirt oval !! ** My question is based around an 1/8 scale buggy I do own, a Koyosho Inferno MP-6 ** I am so done with nitro power !! Are there conversions to go brushless electric for this old a buggy ? If so who has some info about doing so ? [/quote] Hey Scott I'm and old electric guy turned Nitro but years have gone by since all that took place. I just wanted to kick this over your way so you don't waste a lot of time and money on kits and so on. Its pretty easy to convert to brushless from nitro. You can make your own motor brackets out of channel aluminum and just research the different applications for the motor and ESC. If your into computors at all the Castle Creations make life easy and have a lot to offer but its just like everything else, just my opinion. They are my choice for my customers and very little problem. All my old electrics were LRP and I hear there still very good also. There are also some very good electric kits on the market, more kits for them than Nitro now days. Good luck with your new venture and HAPPY RC'en [;)]

It doesn't break any more than the others when you land wrong, but it is a boat. Very heavy and very good for the beginner in 1/8 buggies. The weight keeps it from having as many wrecks from mistakes but does inhibit the speed it takes to beat the pro's [;)]

That torque pipe works much better on the smaller engines .12 & .15 it helps those high RPM engines with bottom end. Actually the stock pipe on the X-c is a very good pipe for it and so is the AE pipe your looking at [link=http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24&products_id=736]AE torque pipe[/link] The set up on the X-c is more important than anything else you can do................if you want to power up then the [link=http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=720]SH 18 PRO[/link] with the [link=http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22&products_id=634]1/10 SH Exhaust system[/link] is a very good combo [:-]

RE: 9/11 Rememberance
I was in total disbelief when one of the contractors around the shop area said that a plane hit one of the towers in NY, My first thought was how could anybody be so stupid and ran upstairs to my little apartment in my shop and turned on the TV and not even a few seconds after the second plane hit or they started showing the replays. I could not believe it and within a few minutes there were 12 guy in my little room with there mouths hanging open. I couldn't even work the rest of the day. Its sad how people forget how much in lives it has taken to keep this USA in tack besides 911. Since the 911 happened I have celebrated every holiday the way they were intended rather than just another day off. I now find myself praying that someone or something will stop the SOB in the white house from causing harm to thousands of others in this world and destroying the USA. It used to be God save the queen now its GOD SAVE OUR USA / God bless all those who have died for so little reason such as 911 that should have never happened. Whether or not you know it the only ones we have to thank for that happening is our wonderful government that has been cutting back on every form of protection for the last 30 years so they have more money to blow on things that don't mean a rats behind. No I wouldn't blame just one person like that idiot Bush because it was all of them all the way back to Eisenhower. So when you take your position to pray, pray for all of us because the last 10 months our protection system has been torn apart almost completely by our government and leader.
