Socks, pants and passion. Socks fit nice, pants were to short and the passion was great ....................... bet you thought it would have been a different answer [:D] Most important was love and friendship from family and friends [;)]

RE: Hpi Firestorm Help!
Not that a lot of guys here wouldn't know about the small block engines the Firestorm is an ST (Stadium Truck) not a Truggy [&o] What you are describing is usually an engine that is worn out. If it starts and goes to a high idle its only one thing "lean mixture" its caused by an air leak, fuel lines, fuel tank, O-rings around carb or low compression (NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE IN THE MUFFLER TO PUSH FUEL THROUGH THE CARB) I did leave out one other possibility, dirt in the carb (OOPS) Good Luck and HAPPY RC'en MERRY CHRISTMAS

RE: Xtm Xt2 .247 engine is stuck!!
Problem might have been caused with the side ways torque from when the pin was aligned wrong. For being solid metal they can be pretty touchy. With the XTM engines or SH (same thing) I have used OWB in other motors after the motor has worn out and then I have had them go bad in a few gallons of fuel ........ same as OS or Picco ......... some make it and some don't. Also all it takes is a tiny bit of dust or grit and any OWB will give up. Good Luck and HAPPY RC'en HECK ITS MERRY CHRISTMAS

RE: check this out
Things haven't changed that much in the military as far as logistics are concerned. Someone needs to get in touch with some cargo fly boys at a NAS or AF base. If you can arrange to get the fuel to the air base I'll bet you dollars to a doughnut they will get it to its destination [:D]

RE: Xtm Xt2 .247 engine is stuck!!
Part of the problem could be if your running a fuel with real high oil content like Traxxas fuel ............... Use a good brand of Byrons 20% or the XTM fuel and the problem almost never comes out. I personally use 25% Werks or Byrons and almost never have any problem but if I use the lower 20% with 13 or 14% oil it jumps up and bites ya. Just going to have to play with it or get a bump box, that only fails when the battery goes dead [:@]

Richie I think you should shut the whole thing about 1/5 scale down, just so I don't have to look at it and get little tingles in my toes and break out in a sweat thinking how my wife will react if I take on a line of 1/5 for the store and spend a ton of money testing and improving on one so I can tell my customers the low down on it and also have to go to another place that has a 1/5 track. Yea this is a really bad thread and I read almost every post and I could use that time for something else....................LOL................... stop me please and close it down [&:]

RE: Xtm Xt2 .247 engine is stuck!!
If you hang the RC by its back wheels when its hot it will not cause as many problems with the OWB slipping. I use a bump start or the sure start and very little problem. If I have to clean it up I use carb cleaner and let the oil from the fuel lube it after ward.
