Honeycomb
HI all, so regular fiberglass is lighter, better to work with, and easier to repair than honeycomb fiberglass. Honeycomb is stronger, but does it show it's grain, after being out in the sun. Your thoughts please. http://www.hexcel.com/Resources/DataSheets/Brochure-Data-Sheets/Honeycomb_Attributes_and_Properties.pdf Rcpete

RE: JR DSMX
HI, I converted to DSMX and have better Data logger numbers. My only advice, after you rebind every plane that was on dmx2, make sure your flap is set in the middle position on the first start up, and check all throws before the first flight. Rcpete

HI, resale valve is not rocket science, most guys know what used aircraft sell for, just check the sold items in the market place. Also just ask the question, most guys are more than willing to give a value. Rcpete

RE: Good sport jet for a fair price ?
HI Guys, most are not pricing a jet right, the up front money is not a good way of pricing a jet. The proper way to price a jet is the total cost to get it in the air, subtract the resale value, then divide the number of flights you got on it. In other words, its the cost per flight. My BVM jets are the cheapest, and FEJ's, the most expensive. The best entry jet and first flight of the day jet is the Boomerang Sprint. The second tough , allround jet is the Flash. And next is the BVM Bandit and Bobcat. Rcpete

Canada's number 1 event now, Wingham jets
A big thanks to Angus and crew for making a spectacular Jet rally in Wingham Ontario, this past weekend. 53 pilots and a hundred+ jets, enjoyed perfect weather for 3 days. We had a mix of US and Canadian pilots flying non stop, from early morning, till late at night. Also a Big thanks to Team Horizon pilot , Pablo Fernandez , for his perfect noon time show, with my Tomahawk Futura, it was a real crowd pleasing performance. Here are some pics. Rcpete

HI, I am actually pleasesd the the fades, as they are low, and never a frame or hold . Just the Flap setting on My A-10, shifted, about 40 points , past neutral, resulting in a stall, which I did not see, until I tried the take off position, and new it was wrong. And my Bandits brakes where reversed. Rcpete

A heads up/JR DSM upgrade
HI, this thread is for the guys planning of upgrading their JR 12x to DSM X version. As you no, when you get back your TX back, you have to rebind all the receivers, what I did not know, some of your programs could change. Most of my jets where OK, but 2 jets had changed. My BVM Bandit, the brakes where reversed, and on my A-10, the flaps where bindings, causing it to take out my Power box Royal. ( 4 flap servos had to be backed off from neutral), just a heads up to others, I now have to send my Royal back to Germany. Anyone else get the upgrade. Rcpete
