RE: Charging and balancing Life Batt with taking plane apart at Field?
Thanks for the comments guys. After using the nicd and nimh for the last couple years I just have become use to charging and checking the voltage. But I think to take full advantage of the Hobbico Life battery it should be balanced. Sure I could just charge it, but Im I getting the most out of them with out balancing them. I almost always charge at home, but still want to be able to balance at the field/charge at field.

Charging and balancing Life Batt with taking plane apart at Field?
Ok guys, love these Life Batteries, but what a pain to balance and charge at the field without taking plane apart at the field. What are the tricks? Im talking about 60 size and larger nitro and gas, not small electrics.

RE: ***CUB BROTHERHOOD***
Going to buy a cub arf, know time to build. Looks like airborne models has theirs at a good price. Would love to have the Aero works, but for that price I could buy two. Going to go with the DLE 30 even though the DL20 would power it pretty good.

RE: Pulling all ar7000 receivers out of my planes!!!
Im wondering if we are looking in the wrong place. It could be the radio. What was the battery level on your transmitter.

RE: New to helicopters!
This is whats the the heli Raptor 50 has. Raptor 50 with os hyper 50 has futaba 401 gyro and s9254 tail servo has all Ds821 jr digital servos for controls all metal head. Raptor 30 v2 Raptor 30 v 2 with the tt39 witch runs great no problems out of this motor at all, pitch servo is a jr racing Z59cm high torque, aliron is Ds821 digital jr servo and has a futaba 401 gyro with a futaba s3151 servo, elevator is futaba s3010 high torque. Has extra set of blades the ones on it are new set of mavrics have extra set of orange tell blades extra boom and tail belt has header tank and a zero alpha govnor . These two are my choices, which one would be the best option for a new guy and the best bang for the buck. Thanks for your oppions.

RE: New to helicopters!
Just like Jimbo 98, I am looking to get a heli. I have flown all types of rc planes for a couple of years. I have the chance to trade one of my planes for a Raptor 30v2 or a Raptor 50. I will have to get a glub member to give me some lessons, but are the raptors 30 and 50 good products and witch one would be best for new helicopter pilot. The sound of the 50 size sounds better, would the raptor 50 be more forgiving then the 30 size? Thanks

RE: A123 or Li-Ion for a 50cc yak
Thanks for the info. The guys in my club are running A123 as well. Just like to hear what everybody else is using to. The problem with large planes is you just have to many options to pick from on what type of power system to set them up on. Meaning Batt/RX/ switches. When you put so much money in a plane you dont wont to put the wrong stuff in thier.

RE: A123 or Li-Ion for a 50cc yak
I have purchased a 50 CC Yak also. Going to use a AR9100 Spectrum RX. Trying to decide on batteries to use to. Has anyone had luck with the Hobbico LIFE batteries. Check out their link. http://www.lifesourcebatteries.com/index.html
