RE: New TREX 600CF
Yes, saw that yesterday. Not a big deal right now. I am glad they owned up to it immediately and are offering to replace them free of charge. It could be worse, I have yet to hear of an accident caused by this sort of thing happening. R

New Sub-Forum for T-Rex 600???
Admin, Would it be possible to get a new sub-forum in the Helicopter/RC Electric Forum that would be specifically for the T-Rex 600? Given the differences between the 450 and the 600 it would make it easier to sift through the two helis threads. Just a thought! Thanks! [sm=sunsmiley.gif] reades

RE: power supply for LiPo charger
Hello. HighSierra, could you possible post some pics of this set-up? I have a few "old" power supplies laying around. Plus, I have churning over the power supply question since I ordered the 600. Thanks, reades

RE: Just picked up my 600CF
I have gone ahead and upgraded to metal arms, head stopper, etc. I figure I might as well get on now while building, instead of replacing later. Of course, no one shop seems to have all the basic Align upgrades right now. So far, I have most of the rotor head and shaft complete. I also got the main frame together over the weekend. The instructions are fairly well laid out, but sometimes they tell you to do something a page or two after you completed it. I have been enjoying the build so far, however! [:D] Take care, Roger

Just picked up my 600CF
Well...I jumped! I picked up my new T-Rex 600 CF Combo Kit from the Post Office this afternoon. I went with Pinnacle Model Co. They were offering a combo I had not seen by anyone else (except the Align site in Taiwan). I got the 600 CF kit with the motor, esc, bec, and 7.4v LiPo bec battery. Plus, this kit also included the 6S2P 4200mAh 16C Li Po. With P.O. Express Shipping, I paid A LOT LESS than buying the battery separately! [:D] It was too good of a deal to pass up. Plus, I ordered Monday morning and it was an attempted delivery on Thursday! [sm=sunsmiley.gif] I will replace a few of the plastic arms with metal upgrades before putting the package together, based on the Finless videos. I cannot wait to jump into the build! My family will just have to forget me for the next week. Take care, Roger

Should we be concerned about the T-Rex 600 delays??
I was just wondering [8|]...I have decided to wait and get a T-Rex 600 so I can the advantages of a .50 size heli with the all the atrributes of an electric heli. However, the shipping delays and a few questionable "rumors" about overheating, etc., have me wondering if Align rushed the 600 to market too quickly. Any thoughts?? I have not put myself on any waiting lists for this reason, just keep looking at the websites and hoping to get lucky with the inventory. Thanks for your input! Roger

Would the T-Rex 600 be a good starter heli?
is an initial detriment, but I am not worried about that right now. Appreciate your opinions! Thanks. reades

RE: Question on type of heli to start with
I recently purchased a G3 sim and I also have a Futaba 9 channel transmitter (new). I am thinking the T-Rex 450 or Raptor 30 or 50 after learning the basics in the sim. I am leery of starting real small, but understand my budget is limiting my ability to get a high quality and complete system. Thank you for the input!

RE: Transporting my helicopter
I saw on another thread where someone uses Velcro on the vehicle carpet to hold the skids in place. They said it held really well.

RE: HELP...Raptor 50 or T-Rex 450SE???
Noise isn't much of a factor. I have a large field down the street that I can use most days, and a 30 minute drive to a club field that I am joining. I was also told that I would get as much as 30% more flight time with nitro over batteries. Does that figure sound about right? I definitely want to build the kit so I know how to fix the thing when I do crash it! Thanks for the info.

RE: HELP...Raptor 50 or T-Rex 450SE???
Thanks for the advice...that is basically what I have been hearing. Initially, I was told the T-Red would be good to start with, but the more I spoke with people, the more I learned that it is not that easy. Is there much difference between flying the Raptor 30 and the Raptor 50? Thanks again!

HELP...Raptor 50 or T-Rex 450SE???
I am torn! I am trying to decide which heli to buy and would like your advice. I was leaning toward the T-Rex. However, I went to a club meet and spent time watching three Raptor 50s for a few hours and now I am thinking perhaps I might go for a Raptor 50. Both seem like great helis, but I would like your expertise. I am beginner and have spent a lot of time reading up on this site and many others. I have already purchased Real Flight G3 Simulator. I also have a new Futaba 9CHPS Super PCM Transmitter. Thanks for your help!

RE: Question on type of heli to start with
Given my location and the distance to a club field, I am leaning towards an electric. I have not ruled the nitros out, but would prefer something I could play with in the basement this winter. I have decided that I want to avoid the dual-main blade helis. I want to start on a standard one and move myself up over time. Thanks for the info and quick response! reades
