RE: UAV Design
i really dont think it would be nessesairy to build something like that out of carbon fiber. if you really have to mold it why not use fiberglass? that 31 dollar would get you about 48sq feet of cloth. btw that little tube of epeoxy in that kit wont get you anywhere. i say if you ahve to mold it keep it simple and use fiberglass not carbon fiber. have a look at plasticareinc.com 4oz fiberglass is 9.38 per yard while CF is 49.95 per yard...just saying

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build
good guess, its the 50 size, so this one has a torque drive in it. looking forward to see your video on how you will do your cockpit!

BTW, first pic is for a 1/10th scale Apache, second one as well. the last pic is for a 1/9th scale NH90 by graupner. all pretty small scales

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build
man, been watching this tread as i have decided to build this kit as soon as i gather the funds to buy the kit (just had to buy a new TX) it is just beautiful. since you are working on the cockpit. i just wanted to show you guys what i have been doing for my helis, i was planning on doing this for this kit as well. i make these using a 3D printer can't wait to get started. i might contact yellow aircraft to see i they sell just the cockpit parts so i can get started.

RE: ok another question on the 300
yeah, i was thinking out loud when i wrote that post, had a chance to actually look at it, looks like it has the angles build in. that is probably why the electric mount was installed offset.

ok another question on the 300
ok, do i have to build in side thrust or is it build into the firewall? cuz it looks like the mount they sell for the electric conversion is mounted off center...why is that? this was for the 60-90 300 thanks

cooling slots in the 60-90 extra 300
hey guys, i am building an electric extra 300 60-90, in the manual they make you cut out the cooling slots...i really don't want to make holes in the beautiful covering job if don't have to. so the question is...is it necessary? will i run into heating problems if i dont? thanks
