What could be wrong with my radio? Help!
Last week I bought a new steering servo for my savage, an XP something. ?I forgot the model number, but it's the one with 200.4 oz torque. ?So i get it in my savvy, and I notice it wont steer to the left. ?i try setting the endpoints, and everything. ?so i thought i just got a lemon for a servo. ?fast forward to today, i got a Savox servo. ?Install it, and i'm back at square one. ?it won't steer to the left. ?I tried testing it out with out the servo horn connected and i noticed it just won't turn left. ?If i connect the servo to the throttle position on my rx, it works fine. ?I also tried a different rx, still have the same problem. ?oh, before i forget, i have a Futaba 3PM 2.4G. ?What could be wrong, is my transmitter finally bit the dust?

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
i've got the dynamite .21 mach 2. i think it has the 8.5 venturi in the carb out the box. i haven't took it out yet, but when i do i'm quite sure this motor will flip my truck over.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
i finally ran the mini mgt today. quite an impressive truck. i put 5 tanks through the big block and it ran really good. around the 4th or 5th tank i realized that the big block .21 is overkill in this truck and i like it! i saw a hint of a wheelie even though i was just rollin on the throttle a 1/4 at a time. the stock muffler definately sucks some performance from it, but it's just temporary till i get my new header this week and i can put on a big block pipe. but so far so good. the wheels kind of stopped wobbling. when i ran the first tank i really realized how horrible the wobble was. but i know one thing, when the snow melts and i can get this thing tuned and in some dirt it's going to be awesome. oh yeah, my temps were 180-184 for the first few tanks just like yours 1mtx1 even though im not running the stock motor. at the 5th tank i leaned it a quarter turn and it's in the 212-226 range. i leaned it a quarter turn after the 2nd tank also but still kept it on the bubbly rich side. it was 40 degrees here today, and i was about to take the mgt 4.6 out, but i wanted to get the mini broke in so that way they are both ready to rip it up.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
my wheels wobble also. it's the foams in the tires, that's what's giving you the wobble. they aren't perfectly straight in there. i'll take a look at mine and take the shock spacers off and take a look at that gap you are talking about. i havent taken the spacers off of mine yet. i installed the big block in mine yesterday, i just have to get a pipe that is not really long so it doesn't rub the tire.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
check over all of your screws, especially the metal to metal ones. check the diffs also and that should do it. maybe give the tranny a look inside too, i was thinking about opening mine up to see how it looks in there. i got my packages from amainhobbies.com today! new tires and rims for the big mgt and the new power plant for the mini. a dynamite .21 mach 2 motor! i'm dying the rims for my big mgt right now.

i also think they mainly beefed up the tranny and the spur gear mount. i think it also has bigger wheel hexes too. they also changed the bumpers.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
i always double check the needles to make sure they are set right from the factory. i finally got the pic of my 4.6 mgt with the red springs. on the front the springs are on the inner shocks, and on the back they are on the outer. some people run both front and back on the outer shocks. but this seems to be working. i have some copper springs, but the blue/red setup keeps it from tipping. i also changed the shock spacers so it sits just a tad lower. the front is actually lower than the back. probably can't tell in the pic though.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
no prob, i'll snap a pic of my mgt 4.6 with the spring setup to show you how it looks. nah, for break in, just run the needles how it says in the manual. you can heat it up the engine with a hair dryer and wrap aluminum foil or an old sock over the engine head to keep it at operating temps. i heard the same rumor about the mini being discontinued, but this was last year and it's still here. so more than likely it's just a rumor.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
you can just run 4 red springs on the outer shocks. i do the same thing with my big mgt. to lower it, take the shock spacers off and that will lower it. hope this helps. sounds like that should be fine with the plugs and fuel you have. just gotta play with the tune till you hit that sweet spot. ill be running my mini in a few weeks. soon as the weather breaks.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
i do the slow driving for about several tanks, slightly leaning it about a 1/4 turn each tank. i think around the 5 or 6th tank i do full throttle for a couple of seconds then let off. you can check youtube for break in methods. heat cycle method is pretty good too, might break in the new engine i get for my mini mgt that way.

RE: Anyone Have a Mini MGT?
just did a little shopping for the mini mgt yesterday afternoon. got a BB conversion kit and a dynamite .21 engine. i do have a spare .28 sitting around, but i think the .21 will be more than enough. the stock .18 is probably enough, but i'm like tim the tool man taylor, MORE POWER!! also got a few parts for the regular mgt. the flywheel stripped out finally, so had to get a new one. also got an extra rx for my futaba 3pm 2.4g.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread
well guys, im getting closer to getting my mt2 back in action after having it sit on the shelf for two years because my mgt got all the attention. i mainly needed all of the clutch assembly stuff, new wheel hexes (went for the aluminum ones, plastic ones always got stuck in the wheels), the 100cc tank, and mounted a wing on it. i got the new era wing mount thinking i could just bolt that sucker right on. nope, not happening. what they dont tell you is that you need the new era shock tower since it doesn't have that little hump in the middle. i was pretty ticked off once i tried to mount it. but i found a way to get it on there. i'll post pics of it soon. i also just got a mini mgt so i'll have three trucks i'll be bashing with this year.
