RE: Motor cutting out.
Was gonna order a new Nicad to replace the old one,is there something better ? I only have the one Futaba charger that that does the RX and TX. If I changed the rx to some thing differant I would have to change the TX as well ?

Deens conetores and sizes or exstensions ?
Hi all i am new to the world of sparky action, like it a lot. I have a E flight 25 with the jetti 40 esc and a 1500 Milli amp 4 s 14.8 Batt. Turning a 10x7 wood prop. On a 40 size balsa mono trainer. I got her all together charged up, and taxied her around for ruffly 4-5 minutes with out the wing and the motor shut down, I did get on the stick racing it down the street to check out the speed for take off,I assume low voltage cut off. Unacceptable for flight. I went to the LHS and started talking batteries, he showed me a couple form the 3000 Milli to 5000 mili. 3 S and 4 S. And the prices started from 60 to 80 $. They all had the Large Deen`s connectors (if I`m saying it properly) Like the 3200 I have hooked up to my heli starter. Do they make a BIG to Little Deens ? Or is this set up I have all wrong ? Thank You for any help, links or prices on where to shop.

RE: EP Falcon rolling at take off ?
Thank You so much for the reply, I will give the rudder trick a try. And you were right about me trying to correct with the allerions. Made it worse. That makes sense.

RE: EP Falcon rolling at take off ?
When I tested her with the wing off she went straight down the line and as fast as my cat after a piece of ham ! Turns on a dime. I hate the way the fire wall is set up from the factory with a slight down nose setting and a little to the starboard side. South east nose cone direction. Funny looking, but it`s what the manual says to do , and I have flown her a doz zen times with out indecent on the other plane ? I will giver her a check after dinner and use your checks. Scared to death to hand launch, being that she is rolling straight into the ground port side at take off. And I`m outta glue[:D] I`ll keep you posted. Time to triple check. I know its gotta be something easy I`m missing.

EP Falcon rolling at take off ?
Have flown this plane a dozen times, had a fight with a tree, tree won. I had another plane ,same one. rebuilt the the new one and she taxied fine. Installed wing checked CG, went to take off and she gets up to speed and as I pull back ,she allerions to the port side into the ground? She seems to roll in the oppisite way of the way the motor is turning. The motor is tilted down and to the right on the stock fire wall. Any ideas. Thanks.

RE: E-Flight 25 in a Hobbico 40 balsa ?
When you say 4 s and 3 s are you referring to the cells ? Number of B attires`s in the Pack ? How many layers ? If so ...why don`t they just say 4C or 3C. I`m almost embarrassed at this point.............. Still learning about the power of the LIPo. I do charge out side. At least I`m flying solo right? And once again , Thank You for taking the time to help a newbi.

RE: E-Flight 25 in a Hobbico 40 balsa ?
So the Jeti 40 ESC that I have is wrong for the E flight 25 ? Or , are you saying that I have to pick the right Batt for this application ? There is a wood 10 x 8 electric Master air mounted to the motor now. Just didn`t want to dump any more cabbage on this trainer. Just back to work after 6 months. And the bride wants here dining room table back [X(] Batt, no problem. Thats a givin. Thank You again for helping out a newbi. It will click soon. Wish I could just drive over and bring you a case, and chew the fat. LHS is great if you know what you want....CARS.. and there mark up is 285 % and they just order from tower .

RE: 28 years later I just flew ! I did it !
DO IT !!! You know the feeling of winning something, or finding money in the street ? Well its like that ! Pulse the other thing . I would say ,get PRO help but after working in boiler rooms all day the last thing I want to do is go to a club meeting at 8 pm, in another state, when I get up at 4. So they can fight about weed killer. VERY nice fellow`s , and a VERY nice field. But this sparky action is the way to go! Took my old stuff and made it work. I crashed last night trying a barrel roll, No problem ..I got 3 more planes I got for 40 bucks. If you have access to a simulator, or get on for X-mass, you`ll be in the know. I had The HORNET and my bro had a GRASSHOPPER. Ton of fun. Still have the Tx. Get a foamie to start with. There Slow , there cheap, YOU WILL BANG IT UP ON YOUR OWN, but it`s called learning. And most of all having fun ! DISCLAIMER....I AM NOT AN RC INSTRUCTOR. Theres a ton of help here. Good luck and enjoy OH I almost for got .....My Uncle is a master woodcarver, He invented the Bazi`s rocker..rocking chair built to your specs.

28 years later I just flew ! I did it !
Been building balsa stick kits since the age of 12. Never joined a club, single Mom Blah Blah Blah, sold off my planes. Kept my old FM radios. Obsolete or I thought.... Got into HELIE`S, learned how to hover . Last OOOPs I decided to go to the attic, Dig out the old stuff and refurbish a Hobbico .40 Was getting parts from the LHS and the guy has 39 new plane`s from a 90 year old man who was ready to get out. I got the 3 junker foamies off him for 40 clams with servos and such. VEEERY Happy I did ! Took a piece from this one and a piece from that .... AND TO NIGHT I CAN FINA ALLEY SAY AFTER 28 Years ...........I KNOW NO WHAT RC FLIGHT WITH ALLERIONS IS LIKE !!!!!!!! What was a I waiting for ???? It was so much easier with them ! What rudder ? OK, till I got near the tree`s. Rudder was very effective. Time to get the .40 to the field. Just wanted to say Thank You to all that have just made my life long dream come true! I`ll be back with more questions of coarse.[:D] drag out the smoker and go to the feild with the boy`s. Thank Thanks Again !

Newbi with motor ,esc, batt questions ?Falcon foamie.
I have a Rimfire Brushless 22M-100 GPMG4500 ESC SS-8 No Battery for it yet. AXi 2212/26 ESC JETI Advanced 30 plus 6_10 2_ 3 LIXX LP 13000Mah 7.4 V batt I tested the latter set up and I`m good to go. Seems like weight is a big issue in the foamie electric world. Slow is fine with me. I have 4 EP Falcon foamies that I got for 40 bucks,2 good 2 for parts, and am completely new to electric and starting to like it already, no mess .....YET. Witch motor schould I mount in this bird ? I prefer to stick with what I have to keep the cost down. Is that set up OK ? It was in one of the birds just needed to add the battery. I have built and flown nitro heli`s and am tired of being so serious, and just want a park flyer to be able to relax, and have fun. It`s like learning a new language, but I`m here to learn. Way to many numbers....but I will get it. Thanks for any help and am happy to have found this forum and electric flight.
