I mistakingly used the term laminar airfoil. Okay, we will call it a BS airfoil, not sure how many years it took to precision that airfoil but less than a laminar. But anyway, you said the rest of my first post was bs, more specific? Huge firewall? I am using Dub's 3 hole round backplate mount and it eats up almost the entire firewall.....huge. Why is it that some just look for ways to stir it up on a message board that is suppose to be about enjoying the RC hobby? Z
I think Highplains was refering to Rudeboy's post was bull.
Sure you can build one by hand. Maybe not to the degree of uninterrupted flow that you may be picturing in your mind, but none the less you can get close enough to at least call it Laminar for our models sake. I believe for our models there is a given exterior shape that we lend to the term Laminar. It may not be as uninterrupted as one that is laser shaped, but it is what it is.

I have been meaning to ask you how much rudder to elevator mixing do you have on your ef yak's. Just to have an idea so that I can get an idea on how much more or less to set mine up at. $160 for the profile not bad I think that I'll pick one of those up they are just the coolest things. Ricardo
Dude,OMP has the fusion for your saito on sale for 129.00-I dont care what anybody says ,right now the fusion is the best flying profile ever made and i mean 2 times better. They have the 90 size on sale for 219.00 for your saito 100.I got one with a saito 125 67" wingspan and 67" fuse and weights 7lbs 4ounces.....The same setup in a funtana would weight 10 lbs....I am sure a few people would say im an idiot and the mojo is the best, but its a kit in the big one and it does not have the IMAC mode like the fusion.I think you saw the 64" yak i took to the field with the saito 125,thats the same as the chinn yak just BIGGER..........Doug-A-Hole
The fusions fly fine when you can keep the covering on them. ChinaKoat you know. Considering bigger ones. The first pic is of my OMP giant scale Edge 540. This is a great slow 3D plane. The controls are like slow motion. The other one is a scratch built profile based off the OMP edge 540 and MOJO. It flies great. BTW that is how you get a wake up call at a Propbusters event.

Now that the parts are not to dear and available in Australia I will bie a hole new crank and piston assembly instead of just the bearings and I will have a new engine again, we think that when they pressed the gudgen pin in to the crank that they may have over pressed it sqezzing the big end bearing slightly. I still want to have fath in this engine, we shull see.
I think you can still have faith in DL. I have more than 50 flights on mine and there are tons more that are over the 50 flight mark.
