RE: Savage has to go! The best first Gasser??
i did alot of research and decided on the hpi.. i like the suspension, the design, pretty much everything about it. aftermarket support is second to none!! theres somebody making every part you could want!! ohh, and its just getting started!! dont kid yourself into thinking hpi wont make a 4wd... you know deep down its coming!! lol.. i cant get over the fugly looks of the other large scales? i hate the tvp look of the fg, and the short arms on the mcd turn me off... i will say that 2wd is less than perfect, with a powerful motor its hard to keep the baja going straight!

as far as wings go... ive tried them all!! the himoto is better than the pro line, and as good as the jconcepts in my opinion.. i broke a jconcepts real fast too!! it just snapped... too stiff. the proline is the worst, it gets frowny lookin way too fast.. ya know, kinda droopy at the ends? terrible design.. all wings break, all it takes is the perfect hit! i stick with the himoto v2 or jconcepts.. at least they stay straight looking until they break! the cold weather is real hard on any wing...[:@]

RE: I want bigger shocks for my Hyper ST Pro..
of course bigger shock bodies hold more volume so they dont heat up and thin out as fast... but theres a point of no return i think.. big shocks are really heavy. i think part of this whole big shocks thing is because people want them because they look cool! do ya think they just figured out bigger is better in 08? lol.. its the market dude.. real car shocks dont keep getting bigger every year? i came form bashing, i know what it entails.. lots of boredom and no good place to run! lol.. been there done that! you think bashing is more abusive what dont you try racing and get back to me, ive tried bashing!![;)] my big block revo, novarossi 528xr.. RE: I want bigger shocks for my Hyper ST Pro..
i broke way more parts racing... if you havnt been in the track environment then you have no idea! bashing you take your time and think about everything, racing your just full throttle runnin for your life!! our track has huge jumps and mts look stupid jumping them!! they just dont have what it takes to clear the big gaps. so how could bashing a mt be most destructive? a mt cant even make the gaps at the track!! by a long shot even!! truggies and buggies come off the lip of jump at 100% power and fly flat for the most part. mts want to rotate in the air. i had an lst, BB revo, maxx... they dont jump as well as the cheapest truggy. everyone i run with had a mt and evolved to truggies because they are better at everything.... and they dont break often. heres a vid from 06, theres some of the people running mts and some buggies. im running the yellow and blue jammin. theres some speed tests too.. the mts were high 20s the buggies were low to mid 30s on our oval. ahh memories! lol.. these are all fast picco maxx revos and a big block maxx.. so they have bigger motors than the buggies. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1283344215881311050&hl=en heres one of my favorite pics.. im driving the white hyper st lookin down on the p-3 big block revo![:D] yes i landed it.... but notice how much higher the truggy is? thats the difference right there! i think the revo stripped a couple spurs that day, the hyper was undamaged. RE: I want bigger shocks for my Hyper ST Pro..
well buggies and truggies are designed to slap the chassis, thats why they are smooth on the bottom.... of course real cars arent supposed to do that, come on!! i can provide plenty of hardcore bash vids from my mt days, but i can show even bigger air since ive switched to uggies.. they are far superior when it comes to flight! every now and then i get to run with a mt and its just funny!! monster trucks just dont pick up speed as easy, or explode off the lip like uggies do. if they did id be running a mt still! the hyper shocks are pretty good, aside from the clips... but they work real well i thought. ive got video of me jumping a hyper st 40+ feet and the shocks soaked it up every time, hardly any bounce even. you dont want stiff shocks on a truggy, it ruins the experience totally! heres some buggies at our track just jumping, if ya know buggies then you know they arent that high off the ground, and the bottom out easily. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4715202878968033558&hl=en thats nino81 and littlemotor running. heres buggies and truggies while we were rebuilding the track. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6704007179346680461&hl=en id bet a truggy could take a bigger landing than a mt. i spent years running mts...

ive been running that 4 shoe fioroni clutch, youll need to get some heavy springs when ordering. it hooks up big time! i havnt even noticed wear on the shoes, and my bearings last a long time now. i like the 2 shoe version better tho i think... easier to dial in it seems. i have both and have been switching back and forth to compare.
