Dave snow wings
Hey guys, recently i bought a set of wings from Dave Snow. The wings ready to fly will be under 13 ounces, i bought a tube from graph tech 25 mm, and it does not fit will in the sleeve. I do not want to keep forcing it in after i sand it and damage the sleeves that Dave built. for the guys that had Dave build the wing for you, can you tell me where you bought your wing tube. Thanks in advance

RE: Team TS Design ? (Todd Schmidt Design)
Bill, mine is the one on the far left. Purple, red, yellow and sky blue. The plane flies very well in all conditions, it doesn't matter if it's a cross wind and 20 mph winds. I love the Spark that I was flying earlier in the year. But if the wind reaches 15 mph, the spark stays in the car and I will fly the Mystic. It's the best flying plane in the wind I have ever owned!

RE: trimming question
If you think the CG is correct, easy to check by rolling inverted and seeing how much you need to push to keep it inverted. If the CG is right and still pulling to the canopy on up lines, you need more down thrust. I also fly a spark and noticed it required a good amount of down thrust. The nose has no down thrust build in, so you need to start there. Again my spark needed more downthrust as I was not able to adjust the wing due to lack of wing adjusters. once you added the downthrust; if it is still doing this add a little more. Once you get it right check your 45's and see if you plane deviates. Good luck

Thanks Brenner. Underdw, I think that Chuck is coming so I will visit with him about his set up. Cutting the nose back may be the best option, along with. Butt lift[:D]

RE: Contra Rotating Propeller Drive for f3a 2m Pattern Planes
Thanks Dave, that what i may have to do if i want to run the Contra. I know Brenner mentioned that he was a 1/4 inch under when he was measured at the NATS. Can someone with a contra drive measure the length of your airplane from rudder to the tip of the Contra and tell me what number you get. Dave i know that you had to cut the front of the dynamic to make yours work so your measurements wouldn't count [:D]. If the contra fits the Integral without a problem, i beleive the Spark and the Integral share the same length in fuse and rudder, at least it was the last time i measure it. regards

RE: Contra Rotating Propeller Drive for f3a 2m Pattern Planes
Anyone out there running a contra on a Spark Evo? I measured my Spark Evo last night and from the bottom of the rudder to the front of the nose appears to be 77", and I am thinking with the contra spinner length of 85mm, this will put me over 2 meters, any thoughts?

RE: Jeti Advance 90 Pro Opto ESC for pattern?
The opto does auto find the end points. I use the programming card to program the controller. My setting are break on battery type - lixx. Timing high for outrunner. Throttle curve linear, cut off soft, cut off voltage low. You may have to play with your AFR for throttle, but once this is done you set it and forget it, it's normally the throttle up that needs adjusting. I think I have mine set to 90% for the advance plus and 82% for the advance pro. Good luck with your set up.

I have been using the Jeti Opto for the last five years and I have never had so much as a hiccup with them. They are in my opinion one of the best speed controllers,on the market

Omaha Pattern Championships
I know a lot of people of are getting ready for the NATS, but wanted to remind you that the Omaha Pattern Championships, will be held the first weekend of August, in Omaha, NE. For those of you that have been here, you know that Omaha is a great place to fly. I am already predicitng calm winds, and cool weather[:D]. If you can make it we would love to have you. Food will be provided both days for pilots. We will also have T-Shirts on hand for those who want them. IF you would like a shirt the entry fee is 35.00 and 30.00 if you do not want one; we figured we would give you the choice. We will also have shirts for sale as well at cost 10.00. We are starting to get the shirts ordered now, so we would like you to let us know the sizes you need, so we will be prepared. Hope to see you in Omaha!!!!

RE: Current drain using YS170CDi?
Depending on the schedule you,fly this is very normal. I remember when I flew glow several years ago in Advnced and intermediate, I would easily put 200 mah per flight back, into the battery. You can stay with the smaller battery if you like but charge after every third flight or use a bigger battery. Your servos with glow are always fighting to find center with the vibration of your engine, again, IMHO this is normal, and digital servos are power hungry[:D]

I totally agree Mike, the Prolog is every bit as good as the Nuance, and can probably handle the cross wind condition a little better, because you can fly at a faster speed. hope you enjoy it

RE: New Krill Spark Evo I- Build Thread.....
Well after talking with several people about the airplane, i decided to add a ladder system in the fuz for strength and durability. this was fairly easy to do, and only added 7 grams. I also decided to extend the rear horizontal brace where the stab is attached. It made a huge difference in making the more stiff fuz. In the masters sequence- the inverted push with a 2 of 4 and 1/2 outside loop 1/2 roll down. When i pushed it seemed like the plane would want to yaw to the right; not sure if the fuz was flexing when i pushed. After adding the ladder and extending the horizontal brace, the plane no longer does this, i could not be more happier with it now in this maneuver...now to work on the triangle snap[:D]. Pictures attached
