RE: another smoking motor
the sport tuned motors run a lot hotter than the silver can motors do. you'll burn that one up quick. gear way down and make sure your gear mesh isn't too tight. and ball bearings will help.

RE: New car advice
of course with a good motor slash batt. and its a great basher. lipos will be fine in that car also. just get some good bearings and do the basic mods and you'll love it.

RE: Nimh Run over, Now What?
keep em charged. they'll last a lot longer. if they are guunna sit for a while charge em atleast once a month. you should never discharge nimh batteries. they dont like to be drained like nicads do. when your running em and your rc starts to slow down tthats a good time to stop running em, let em cool off and throw em on the charger. so always keep em charged. and peak em right before you run them.

RE: Brushed Motor Break In?
wow i did mine for less than 5 minutes with 3 sub cells. that seems a little extreme, i think 2 hours under water is asking for trouble considering its not meant for water. sounds like you did more than break it in, may be wore it out.. let us know what happens.

RE: Best battery for DF02 w/ Tamiya 540 Sport Tuned Motor?
if u want simplicity and r a beginner and not ready for lipo then check out http://www.promatchracing.com/categories.php?cat=28 i've used the 4600 cell and they r amazing compared to the overpriced packs sold at the big stores. for less or the same money you wont believe the diff. all the common name batteries you can get at the big stores are usually midgrade at best. if they sold these you'd be paying tripple, and then they wouldn't make money on the cheap midgrade packs with the pricey stickers...

RE: Please recommend DF02 electric motor upgrade
the tamiya sport tuned black can motor runs hot. if we're talking about the same motor dont use it in a 4wd. you'll burn it up. mine runs hot in my frog wich is 2wd and light weight , i wouldn't even try it in my df02. get one of the other tamiya motors and u will be much happier. if u do get it gear as low as possible.

RE: If this car exists I want it.
wow its early there.. but if u want to build it check out www.tamiyausa.com the durga a belt driven high preformance car but there are plenty of shaft driven tamiya vehicles that r decent racers/beaters. for 150 bucks i'd go with the rising storm, plenty of upgrades... of course im sure u know batts charger and controller u have to buy seperate..

RE: Giving a Titan 12t motor more power? i need help
what batteries r u using? a high qaulity batt will perk it right up and then burn it out like every other 12 titan... so then when you get a better motor you'll be flying!

RE: Stampede motor recommendation
brushed motors are getting hard to find. go with the what was said, s-600 and gear way up.. just watch the temps. 8.4's or lipos will help produce needed speed..
