RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.
Sounds like interference or brown-outs. Try the new speed controller first. To me, it act's like an FM reciever when it loses it's signal. That is Exactly why i switched to spectrum technology. I crashed my Trex 2 or 3 times and it was horrible. It would just get a mind of it's own and power plant itself right into the ground. Wireless Routers and Cordless phones do affect fm recievers. I have not had anymore "what the heck just happened" incidents since the switch to spectrum.

RE: .46 os dies, please help!!!
Also, did you replace the back cover and carb seals while you were at it? Have you tried different glow plugs? Someone in a diff forum had simular issues and they tried a #7 plug + it solved his problems. Just a thought.

Not bad for a first attempt. Too bad about the crash. It's minor compared to what it could have been.

Have you checked the fuel lines and fittings. Replace fuel lines every year or two, including the clunk line.

RE: os 50 hyper
You could try using a carb smart system. Are you using the correct glow plug + fuel? Check the muffler fitting for the back pressure line to fuel tank. Is it clogged?

Nice!!! Tail with authority. Fast climb-out. I'm considering trying that gyro on my new 50 Vibe....maybe. How did you record that video yourself ?

I actually built mine in early december. I put the bades on it and realized there was NO WAY i was going to even consider spooling that one up! The weather here has been lousy when i have had time to fly. Seems i have built more than I have flown this year. Make sure to fill us in on the performance of that Gyro!

RE: How to use an iPhone to Fly RC Airplanes and Helicopters
Sounds cool and all that. I feel that it wouldn't be a practical application for heli's. Trim's, mixes, batt life, etc. What kind of reciever is he using?

RE: Advice on new radio.
2.4 is the future for now. A 6 channel will do, but a seven or more opens up new possibilities for any serious Pilot. I have a JR X9303 2.4. DSM2. A computerized transmitter with 9 channels that gives pilots ease of programming, 30 model memory, and mixing and switches galore. I have three future projects already brewing, and one of them is a Nitro-3 bladed head Hirobo Chinook. Not sure what model, but my lhs can get it for me. My X9303 has 7 models in it now, so i can add my 3 planks also. And...that leaves plenty of room for future models that will require more than 7 to eight channels. My XP6102 worked fine, but the 2.4 DSM gives Assurance like never before, and there is NO waiting or impound at the field.

RE: trex 450 gyro issues and nose turning left in first flight
Make sure servo arm is 90 degrees to control rod. Center tail slider with 0 trim on rudder in rate mode. Be sure to check rod for no binding at all. Set travel via gyro/radio, which ever may apply.[;)

RE: my 500 esp is here
Oh Yea.....It's a fine machine. I had my maiden 2 weeks ago. I had a bad tail wag in hover and set her down. Have not had a chance to test after adjustments. It was my first fully blinged-out of the box heli. There is only one upgrade that i have seen as of yet.....an Aluminum anti-rotation bracket. The 500 Is one of seven heli's that i can fly outside, so i put my JR 50 Airskipper in the wind. 30 mph gusts.... and the 500 was still manageable, even though the tail ended up being not so hot . I am anxious to get er off the deck again.

Check the main gear for excessive run-out. It's that, or the Main Shaft. What else is left?

RE: TRITON 2 BATTERY CHARGER
My triton eq came with 2 balancing adaptors. Your LHS should have or can get what u need for your type of batt. You can simply buy or put together your own batt connector/adaptors. I made 2, need 2 or three more to adapt to all types of rc batts. Flight + tx nicads, flight box pb,etc. Here is a link that may help you. Know your type of connector, then buy or build. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVJW1&P=M

RE: Hughes 500D
Try using a servo with dual mtg tabs. such as a hitech hs56hb. I encountered the same dilemma. I thought about it for awile, then search the forums-etc. Looked at a servo i had bought origionally to use for my pitch servo, and noticed the vertical mtg tab. Problem solved. mount the ball link on the under side of the servo horn, re-set-up tail pitch and your done. I also used rx foam wrapped around tailboom at exit hole of fuse to dampen and provide semistability of fuse.

RE: Doh cant decide on a charger
I have various lipo chargers that came with the rtf's i have purchased. Also, I have plenty of nicads & pb's to maintain. I finally decide to eliminate 4 chargers + purchased the Tritan EQ. I Couldn't be happier with it's performance.

RE: Tail Servo on Heli Artist 500D w/ a 450
Here is my solution. Use sevo's with 2 mounting options, such as a Hitech HS56HB. If you are not flying 3D, a digital servo is overkill.

RE: extra 300s
I also have an ARF Seagull 300s. I noticed that the thrust angle is almost non-existent. I checked w/square & staight edge. Talked to LHS where i purchased it and they said to let them know what i find out online. I'm Practically addicted to this hobby, being new to RC in general. I have been educating myself by going through the diff. forums on this site, and i must admit that there is plenty to learn. So.... Can anyone recommend how much thrust angle is needed to get me in the air.

RE: Worldmodels Ultimate 40S
I'm new to this addiction. I Have an almost done 40S w/saito 72. From all reviews read, this plane should be excellent to fly. I have found 2 reviews that point out CG differences compared to the manuals 3.74. One review states 3 inches from upper wing tip, another says 3.2. I also have a shuttle 30/50 evolution-37 OS-GY401/S9254,JR770PCM. T-REX-XL w/many upgrades. The planes just looks awesome with True turn polished spinner.
