RE: RC Aerodyne stands behind their products and sales!
I have also brought items from RC Aerodyne. My story was when i brought a a-109 fuse, after building it i took it out for its maiden flight. first flight started good and then about the third lap around the field, i was coming out of the base leg turn and it happen one second i ‘am flying then the next i ‘am falling. the front half decide to depart the aircraft through the blades. end result, not good. so after that, i took it home and look it over thinking maybe a little fiberglass and some paint, i might be able to save the fuse. nothing to save. so i contacted rc aerodyne to explain what happen, and what can we do to get this replace(maybe a little discount on the next purchase, i really like their kit.). Cliff was the person i was dealing with. he said he would send me another one for the same price, i thought that was great. what i didn’t know was the meaning of new one. not only did he send me a new one, he also through in a nav light set . all of this, send to me, free of charge. how many company can you say give this kind of service i was shock. they back what they sell, now this is what they did for me, the fault might of been part mine and part there, but we didn’t argue over who's it was. they made me a happy customer so just letting people know they do stand behind their product.

I use to own one a few years back untill it did the 6 million dollar dance. Anyway I been looking to buy another one but not from nitroplane, i had one last year and it was bad craftmanship. I had the same problem as dubflyer, my fix was to put a 1/4-24 plastic bolt with a blind nut in the front. flying it was fun as the wings always wag through out the whole flight including landing.I got tired of flying it and hung it up, but that first i own was the best i ever had.nw i am searching for another one so far two company i order from return my money because they were back order i come to learn they dont keep there site up to date as they said they would. who who otu there selling long ez not including nitroplane.

RE: Splash 1
Just a question, Am curiosity about how many wasps, bees, birds etc...... Meet their deaf by being suck into turbine or just smack out of the air? At the speed these planes fly, is there any evidence of such event after a flight. As for birds how many made it back safe? I had a bird strike flying a champion 45, I was coming across the deck at 10ft wide open at when a dove cross my path we made contact, lots of feather, bid fell five feet from me and I landed, after inspecting the plane. I couldn’t believe there was no damage but this might be a difference case for you guys.

RE: experimental? heli ID - anyone know this?
My dad told me a lot of story about this helicopter. anyway here some info on it. Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The AH-56 Cheyenne was a four-bladed, single-engine attack helicopter developed by Lockheed for the United States Army's Advanced Aerial Fire Support System (AAFSS) program to produce the Army's first dedicated attack helicopter. Lockheed designed the AH-56 utilizing a rigid-rotor and configured the aircraft as a compound helicopter; with low-mounted wings and a tail-mounted thrusting propeller. The compound helicopter design was powered by a GE T64 turboshaft engine and was intended to provide a 212-knot (244 mph, 393 km/h) dash capability in order to serve as an armed escort to the Army's transport helicopters, such as the UH-1 Iroquois. The AH-56 was armed with a 30 mm (1.18 in) cannon in a belly turret and either a 7.62 mm (.308 in) minigun or a 40 mm (1.57 in) grenade launcher in a nose turret. Two hardpoints under each wing were capable of mounting 2.75 inch (70 mm) rocket launchers and TOW missiles. Two additional hardpoints under the fuselage were equipped for carrying external fuel tanks. In 1966, the Army awarded Lockheed a contract to develop 10 prototypes of the AH-56. The first flight of an AH-56 occurred on 21 September 1967. In January 1968, the Army awarded Lockheed a production contract, based on flight testing progress. A fatal crash and technical problems affecting performance put Cheyenne development behind schedule, resulting in the production contract being canceled on 19 May 1969.[1] Cheyenne development continued in the hope that the helicopter would eventually enter service. In 1966 the Army ordered the simpler AH-1G Cobra as an interim attack aircraft for combat in Vietnam. But as American involvement in Vietnam was winding down the Army canceled the Cheyenne program on 9 August 1972. Controversy over the Cheyenne's role in combat, as well as the political climate regarding military acquisition programs had caused the Army to amend the service's attack helicopter requirements in favor of a twin-engine, conventional helicopter; viewed as less technical and more survivable.[2] The Army announced a new program for an Advanced Attack Helicopter on 17 August 1972.[3] This lead to the successful AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, a conventional helicopter emphasizing armor protection, armed with laser-guided missiles and cannon.

RE: Sig Wonder
Over the years ,I have built several of these little baby's. There the most fun one could ever have. Two of them I put rudder, talk about a flat spin, wow. it the first plane that i seen that could climb in a flat spin. But I prefer the 32 it give the best balance for plane/engine. The 40's are good if you like the speed which i do, but wing loading is a bear, it not much fun fighting the elevator a slow speed for those of you that like slow acrobat maneuver then the 15 is a good deal. Get one and you will be a believer. just my 2cent.
