RE: A-10 Project
Andrew we need video!!!...haha...good luck..let us know how it went. we're all excited to see this thing come off the ground. this is my update. ordered the servos for elevator and rudder control. first electronics to go into this god forsaken thing. i mean wonder creation.hhaha...that will complete the rear section as the fiberglassing is almost complete and sanded. working on the second nacelles for the other side. i have included a couple pictures of that. and yes doug i even hand made these. i am truely a glutten for punishment at this point. the table is now cleared for the main wing assembly. RE: A-10 Project
Quick update. fuel tanks are in. I went with two 16 ounce tanks one for each engine with a single fill line. Rudders are in painted and installed with all cables run up to servo mounts. onto the engine fillets to the fuse and then the start of the main wing.

RE: A-10 Project
Nice to hear that we're still going on these things. thought i might be the only one left at this point...here's my updated pics. Paul you'll be happy to know that i now have the plans hanging in the basement as a shrine. haha I'm taking a slightly different approach. I'm finishing the plane from the tail forward. Elevators are in and working and painted already. Uprights and tail are fiberglassed and waiting for smoothing as the i start on the engine nacelles. god give me the patience to finish that ordeal. trab its a great project. i'm a first time builder of a plane this size and its been pretty easy so far. RE: A-10 Project
Gentlemen, I pose a question to you all. i discovered in my amateur building skills that one of my rudder uprights is tipped in by a quarter inch. they are centered to each other by one does tip in. should i be worried or do we think i should be able to correct this problem with trim on the controls or should i break it back and fill it to be dead on? Thanks, Rick

i used to do car stereo competitions and 16 feet in open air isnt going to make that much of a difference so i wouldnt worry guys. takes quite a lot of sound to cover the 7 db gap he would need to be on the bad side of this. ROCK ON!!!...oh by the way...Sox are kicking it tonight WOOO HOOO

RE: A-10 Project
just shy of three months on and off. soccer season with the kids is here so that takes first place over the girlfriend the jet. the whole rear section is now sheeted and mated with the fuselage. Has anyone seen plans for an F-18 similar to these plans?
