RE: CA hinges on GP Patty Wagstaff/55cc
I wouldn't use the ca hinges on this model. Use the hinge points instead. Don't ask me how I know this.

RE: weather in the 90's this weekend
It's in the 90's here in my part of old Virginia. But I'm not saying a word. After all the snow that we had last winter, I don't care if it gets 110 in the shade.[:D]

I like the larger arf but this is more in my price range. Very nice looking bird that can be kicked up a notch with a little extra work.[:D]

I did it because I like the big warbirds. You can do alot more detailing to them. Also I like using gas instead of glow fuel. [:D]

RE: Benefits of giant scale?
I'm with ya on he vehicle too. I always said that I wouldn't get into giant scale after flying .60 size models but I did. My first large model was a sig fourstar 120. And its been full steam ahead after that.[:D]

RE: OS Engine Prices - Then and Now
I have a OS 28 that I bought when I was a kid back in the 60's. I paid 40.00 for it then which took a while to save for. I still use it today in a sig wonder. I had to remove the exhaust flapper plate. I added a muffler to it held on by a modified hose clamp . Runs like a champ. This is the second wonder that is in. My hats off to os.

RE: Hangar 9 1/4 Scale Piper Cub ARF???
I have one of these birds with a zenoah g20 in it. I have been flying it now for 2 years. I don't have any gyros or have rudder and aileron mixing set up even though its in my radio. The key is learning to use the rudder. Use that left stick for more that just steering on the ground, and throttle. [:D]

I have a Jr783,7202 , and 9303 and are still using them on channel 15. I also have a spectrum 2.4 7 channel. Most of my planes are on the 72 band and I have never had an interference problem with them[:D]

RE: Dissapointed in OS service
I have a OS1.60 that was doing crazy things. When I first got it , it would run like a champ start every time first flip. After about one month of running it started to get hot and dead stick on me. The Glow plug would back out. After further investigation I found out that the head had come loose when the bolts backed out I have put lock washers on the bolts and put them back in, So far so good.[:@]

If you don't want to belong to the AMA then don't join. No one is forcing you. The AMA thread should be for information that will help the AMA, not bash it . Quit whining and get a life! Just my 2 cents . If the shoe fits then wear it.[>:]

Thanks for the link to that site. It was taking a trip down memory lane. I had alot of those kits back in the 60's. I wish I had them now so I could sell them at todays collector prices. I remember buying Monogram 1/48th airplane kits for a buck fifty.
