RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, Wow, it's been awhile since I checked in, sorry about that! Hope everyone is doing well...I'm fine here, just waiting/hoping this really hot summer is almost over, I'm ready for fall!! Mark, Congrats on your maiden, and the FBL sounds nice...a little bit different take off technique, I'm sure...I would have to adjust to that, for sure. With the MCPX, I just kinda "pop" in up in the air pretty quickly, seems to work well. JPEE, Sounds like you are keeping very busy lately, and the night flying sounds pretty cool....hope you are having fun, and that it's not too hectic! Nick, Sounds like you have a busy schedule now with school, and more hours at work...hope you still have some leisure time left over... That dirt track sounds cool, when I was a kid, dad and I used to go to a small 1/4 mile dirt oval, where they raced "late model" stock cars....and they had a "figure 8" also, with the cars using some of the oval, then going into an "X" intersection in the middle of the track...it got real interesting at times! Acually, pretty dangerous too....a few guys had bad accidents and got hurt... That track is long gone, it got gobbled up by a new industrial area years ago, but it was fun back in the day... Hope everyone has a great weekend! Glenn

Hey guys, Just stoppin' in to see how everything is going in RCU world... JPEE, Very sorry to hear of your loss, as Mark said, that is a horrible way to go, and at least they can rest now...always a sad thing to see. Hope you and Judy are dealing with it OK... Hope you are enjoying the new quad. When I sold the SDX to Rob, one of the club members brought up a neary finished home build BIG quad, with huge motors, the size of 600's, four of 'em...he said it was for some kind of lifting contest....it was extremely heavy duty, all metal frame and what not... Mark, The new 500 looks awesome! Hope you can get the finishing touches on it soon, and maybe by the time the August weather has passed, you'll be in some cooler weather for the maiden... Nick, Sorry you had to serve on jury duty...at least it was only 2 days, and not 2 weeks..[X(] I hear you on the cost of nitro helis, buying fuel for mine at nearly $40 a gallon, for 6-7 flights, got old quick...I still love to hear and see them fly over electrics though... Gotta get back to work now... Hope you guys have a great weekend... Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, Thanks for all the sympathy...deserved or not...it was kinda rough...I just kept asking/reminding myself what it must have been like 75 years ago when (most) people didn't have A/C...[X(] It's all what you get used to I suppose, if you never had A/C, you wouldn't know the difference[8|] That made it a little easier...lol... I few things that you don't normally think about happened...like I went to have a chocolate bar....well, needless to say, when the temp in the house is 99 degrees, the thing was a sloppy mess...practically liquified... Then, the weekend after, I went to pay a bill (snail mail with this one, most I do online)...and the envelope was already sealed shut from the humidity..[X(] I was actually more worried about Tiger than I was myself...she just kinda laid around a lot...not doing too much...with a permanent fur coat, she must have been pretty warm! But, it's over and done, and we survived...the hardest day/night was the 4th, which was the 5th day, it was about 99 degrees that day, so I spent most of my day at the mall...came home, and the house was a comfortable 99 inside (it gets hotter than that under the sun..), and by the time I went to bed, it was a chilly 93...and humid as hell...talk about hard to get to sleep!! Anyways, not much new here... Mark, The build is coming along very nicely, I know you'll love the 500, in my mind, it's the perfect size heli...not too big, but much more stable than a 450... JPEE, Hope you can find some time to fly before long...but as long as you are keeping busy, that's all that counts... Nick, I see where you are in the 101 range there today....too hot to fly in that, I totally agree...we just hit 100 here in Baltimore and D.C., it's a bit cooler here in the suburbs, about 98, I think.... I don't care....at least I have power....and I don't even mind paying the bill !!![;)] Hope you guys have a great week.... Glenn

Hey guys, I don't feel like such a stranger now that JEFF is back!!! Long time no see, my friend, glad to hear from ya again, hope all is well!! Well, I'm just about recovered from the storms we had here way back on the 29th of June...a day I won't soon forget...lost all power for nearly a week (6 days)...and it was in the upper 90's the entire time...including the 4th of July... Quite miserable would be putting it lightly...but, I survived, and just about have everything back to normal a week later, we got power restored last Thursday. It'll be a long time before I don't take flipping a light switch on for granted!! Anyways, nothing new on the heli front here... JPEE, Sorry to hear it's been hot for you as well...dry heat or not! Hope you get a break soon... Mark, Congrats on the new heli, sounds like you got a really nice deal, and I'm sure you'll love it when you get it all completed... Nick, Sure glad you don't have to sweat it out on the trucks anymore....and yeah, I do have A/C here at the shop...for about a week there, I was actually GLAD to be at work!! Jeff, Again, nice to see you back!! Hope you guys have a nice weekend, I have to work tomorrow...[&o] I'll try to get back on here a bit more often, barring any 6 day power outages! Glenn

Hey guys, Wow, just realized how long it's been...gotta get caught up! Nick, Sounds cool on your latest boards...keep up the great work! I know what you mean about not being in the mood to fly...I just can't get motivated this year so far![&o] JPEE, Nice vids on the new machine there, looked great! I know the exact feeling about getting mixed up with too much inverted...I think it's a common problem when guys are trying to practice too much inverted. Rob always emphasizes to spilt it up, and go about 80% upright, and keep the inverted down to the other 20%, especially when in the learing stages....as I learned last year very well... Mark, I was glad to hear that you made it through Debby OK, looked like it was more of a west coast event, but looks like you still got your fair share!! I still have my 500 ESP, haven't been flying it for awhile...I've been debating whether to hold on to it or not...if in the future, you are still looking, let me know...and I'll give it some thought. It's still a bit large for most of my local fields here...and no sign of any progress with MHA lately on a new field... It's HOT here!! Nick, I'm getting your hot weather that you were having earlier in the week...they say it'll feel like 110 today...I can hardly wait...[8|] OK guys, back to work....nice chatting, and hope everyone has a great weekend, and 4th of July! Hey guys, Nick, your board looks very, very nice, congrats, it looks like all your efforts and planning have paid off well...congrats again, I know it means a lot to you! Hope you had fun at the huckfest if you went...looks like that link isn't working at the moment...[&o] JPEE, Hope your testing with the new off road vehicle went well...and you got some nice Go Pro video as well. Not much new going on here, I met up with Rob at the plane field last Saturday, he test flew the SDX, and then paid me for it. I was glad to see it go to a decent pilot, who will enjoy it, I'm sure. It was cool, it fired right up, after not being run for nearly a year and a half...and it flew like a dream for him, which I was glad to see...(was hoping for no big surprises!). As normal for these things, I took a huge loss, I let it go pretty much RTF minus the RX for $350. I had nearly 4x that in it....[X(] Oh well, I enjoyed it while I had it. Hope you guys have a great weekend and upcoming week... Talk to ya... Glenn

Hey guys, JPEE, That's a fine machine you have there, looks like it could be a lot of fun, for sure! I know how hot it must have seemed, my dad lives in Havasu, and I hear how hot it is from him...and NO THANKS!! Glad you have a new toy to play with... Mark, Didn't get much at all from Beryl...hardly notice it, maybe a few showers and what not, but nothing much...not like you got down your way... Glad you are still managing a flight a week or so on the MCPX, I really should get mine out more. Mine actually needs an elevator servo, just been too lazy/cheap to do it...it's missing a tooth on the gear, but it still flies pretty well even with that... Nick, I hear you on staying up later, I've always been a night owl...left to my own devices, I'll stay up till 3AM, and get up at 11...[;)] Unfortunately, work prevents that most of the time... Glad you are still tinkering with the meter, and having fun with it. I am having some fun with the little phone/android tinkering. Hope you guys all have a great weekend, talk to ya later on.... RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Nick, Ouch, sorry to hear about the 450...that's a shame, even though you don't fly it...I hate having broken helis laying around..[&o] I didn't do any flying this past weekend, was busy with other projects... The phone actually isn't new, it's new to me, it's about 2 years old, and can't even be activated on Verizon, I got it for a project, to learn re-flashing, rooting Android, and installing different ROM's (like a different operating system). It only cost about $60 on eBay, and has been a lot of fun. Hopefully, I'll get out flying the MCPX again soon. I'm not even sure how my batteries are on the 450's and 500, haven't gotten them out and checked yet[8|] Hope you are enjoying your time off from school, and not working too much. JPEE, How have you been...? Doing any flying lately? Glenn

Hey guys, Work is a bit slow today, so I have a few minutes to catch up... JPEE, Sorry to see that 700 in pieces like that...always a sinking feeling in the stomach when you see something like that happen...hope he can get it back together and in the air soon. Glad you are enjoying your trimmed down fleet, I'm headed the same way, I'm now down to the original 450 Pro, the SDX, and the 500, plus the Quark, if you want to count that... I'll probably be selling the SDX soon...they have not yet found a new field for MHA, so I really don't have anywhere to fly it now. Nick, Sounds like you are having fun with the Whiplash and your new moves...the one about the skids reminded me of the Jason Krause video of "walking the dog"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK8YkCpJ2sM That is good that you have a hobby investing...sure beats throwing tons of money at the helis with little or no return on your investment...hopefully, at least..[;)] I did manage to get out last weekend, and flew about 4 packs on the MCPX. I was amazed, it didn't take much time at all to get back in the swing of things...I stuck with mostly upright flight this time, learned my lesson last year...I did get a few short inverted hovers in though..[:D] Other that that, just been playing with some gadgets. I bought an older Android phone used on eBay, and learned how to root it, and install a custom ROM....pretty neat stuff to play around with, and pretty cheap too..[:)] Hope you guys have some good flying weather and have fun flying! Talk to ya later... Glenn

Hey guys! Wow, I had lost track of time, and how long it's been since I checked in! I'm not really flying yet, so I don't think about the helis as much....and not much to report from my end...[&o] JPEE, Hope the weather has been good, sounds like a great summer forecast for you Cali guys! Mark, Sorry about your close call/hit...glad it wasn't any worse...it certainly could have been..don't blame ya for taking a break... I still remember very well my B400-into-my-shin accident from 2008...and still have my scar to prove it! Nick, I know you gotta be happy with your semester being over!! Hope you can get a lot of flying in, and have a great time, you deserve it![;)] I sold the Gaui on eBay...at first the auction was rather boring, it hung at $91 for like the last 3 days....then...at the 35 second mark, it took off...in a big way...and half a minute later, I was in shock, at the final selling price....$283.00 !! I think it was more all the parts, than the heli that helped... I also just sold my newer (summer, 2010) Trex 450...it had maybe 25 flights...perfect, never crashed....I was a tad bit disappointed that it only brought $296.00...but, hey, that's about half of what I paid new, so I guess in the RC Heli world, that's not too bad... I'll try to check in more often from now on, I do miss chatting with you guys!![:)] Take care, Glenn

Hey guys, Just checkin' in , and keeping up with the latest on the thread.... JPEE, Looks like you had a great time out in the desert there, what with the helis, quads, and the guns too! I see Judy was out having some fun as well....great for you all! Congrats on your "super" 500 flight...nice on those days where everything just clicks and goes well....helps you forget about the bad days...we all know how up and down this hobby can be! Mark, Congrats on the P-40 maiden, even if the motor was hangin' off the front...at least you did (subconciously?) hit the throttle hold though! Hope you can get it back up in the air soon... I had quite a heat wave here as well awhile back...but things are pretty much back to normal. Nick, Congrats on your golf course filming project, sounds like it's going really well for ya... All this time I thought you had a new Moto Razr....oh well, I have one of the original ones too, in my pocket right now, in fact...they are still pretty decent phones even now, mine's stlll working great... I got on the sim for the first time in ages over the weekend, and actually got the MCPX out and charged the packs...but it's way too windy here the last couple of days...but maybe I'll get the MCPX out for next weekend... Stuff came back pretty fast on the sim...I stayed with upright flying for the most part, I don't want a repeat of last year...when I concentrated so much on inverted, that I actually had a very hard time flying upright! In case anyone is interested, I have the Gaui 200 up for sale on eBay...PM me if you need a link, I don't think we are supposed to advertise stuff on the forum...so far, it's going cheap.... Talk to you guys later on, hope everyone had a nice Easter...[;)] Glenn

How's your new phone doing? JPEE, Glad to hear you are out in the cactus land...hope you are having a blast on the quads and what not...sounds too hot for me! [8|] Mark, Hope you have a speedy recovery, and feel better soon...I have been lucky, missed the cold bug this past winter, and so far, so good... Not much going on here...looks like I'll have to break out the lawnmower soon....crazy, it's still March! I wanted to get on the sim this weekend, but the time just seems to fly by on the weekends, never got the chance. Hopefully soon, and it'll get the heli juices flowing.... The weather here is back to normal, about 65 or so for a high...and I'm glad...it was too hot, too soon here this year! Take care guys, Glenn

Hey guys, Finally got a chance to catch up at work, and check in... Nick, Glad you had a break in your schedule, and got a chance to fly the Whiplash...even if it was quite chilly....but 40 degrees isn't too bad considering the time of year, and your location...glad you got to relax some. JPEE, Sounds like you've witnessed a few mishaps with some planes lately! Glad you didn't suffer any personal or property damage on the close call. That is a shame on the loss of that big plane, must have been pretty traumatic for the owner...at least with helis, it's usually all over with rather quickly....not so long and drawn out..[:)] Mark, Sorry about the light pole....I've had a few close calls with them myself....once I got out way too far with my old B400....and was going past a light pole...and to this day I still don't know if the heli was on THIS side of the pole, or the far side...but it missed..[8|] Sounds like good practice....landings....I have done that before, just gone up and down, practicing landings...did a few nose in....kinda hairy stuff! Hope you guys are all well. Everything is fine here, had some awesome spring-like weather yesterday (70), but the wind was hellacious....I guess like the old saying about March...."in like a lion, out like a lamb"...we'll see I guess... Hope you guys are having some fun, Nick, sounds like you are having a blast with the 700 size heli now...great for you! Hey guys, Got a little break here at work, kinda slow today, I guess everyone is still getting over their Superbowl excitement from yesterday... JPEE, I hope Judy is well on her way in the surgery recovery...not much fun with that, I'm sure...the parts manager here at work had something similar, he's been wearing a huge boot thing on his foot for a couple of weeks now...tell Judy I said hi, and, get well soon! I see you discovered how a Proximity sensor works on a smartphone...[;)] I had tons of issues with my iPhone 4 with that sensor, the display would stay lit up an active like you described...but I never got it repaired, apparently it was a very common problem, I read about people that returned several iPhone 4's but had the same issue. My iPhone 4S has none of that, they redesigned the proximity sensor on the 4S....I have not heard any complaints with it on the 4S. Sorry about your lawyer/legal issues, doesn't sound like much fun at all...hopefully it will be over and done for you soon... Mark, Ouch on the nose in on concrete![X(] Hopefully you can get it all patched up here before long, sorry for the bad luck so soon on the Protos... I got really good at B400 repairs/overhauls in the old days...so I know what you mean...[:D] I think JPEE and I could take them apart and back together in our sleep back then...lol.. Great pic of you and your son, he's something to be proud of, for sure...maybe a future R/C heli pilot there?? Good luck with the rebuild, and hope the new job is going well for ya also....[:)] Nick, I saw where parts of Nebraska were getting hit hard...and some power outages too..glad you made it through OK...and yeah, 11.5 inches is a LOT... Not sure how that will work out, since everyone knows how plane and heli pilots don't mix....but it'll be interesting to see if anything comes of it. At one point, a year or so ago, they were discussing a separate heli area at the plane field, so maybe Rob has some ideas...don't know... I haven't touched the helis or sim in months...maybe if I take a long enough break, I'lll be anxious to break them out when the warm weather gets here...[;)] Hope you guys have a great week ahead.... Hey guys, Nick, Glad you like the new phone, I have heard good things about it, it sure looks cool and thin! I have been playing around with some Android devices lately, and I like them for the most part...but Android still needs a bit more polish yet to compete with Apple's iOS, but they are getting better all the time. I see your frosty weather is headed my way for the weekend...we have had a very easy winter here so far....but it may change soon... JPEE, Judy and you will LOVE an iPad...don't forget that the latest, greatest one is not far off, probably in March...you could wait for it, and/or the price on the current iPad 2 will drop significantly....but, you can't go wrong even with the current iPad 2...very, very nice device! Sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery, hope all goes well and a quick recovery.... Maybe a break from flying for awhile is just what you need...I am hoping that I come back in the spring with a renewed interest...but for right now, in the dead of winter...not so much... Hope you guys have a great weekend... Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, I just realized how long it's been since I checked in...[X(] Mark, So sorry to hear your "double whammy"....between the job loss, and the mystery hits on the Protos, I guess this year is not off to a good start...I sure hope things look up for you soon...good luck on your interviews this week.... Nick, Congrats on the new Whiplash, sounds like you are really loving it...and congrats on the aerial photography job coming up...how cool to get paid to fly!![:D] How do you like your Moto Razor? Very cool phone, with the thinness and the kevlar, high tech! Hope you are enjoying it... JPEE, Glad you pulled out of that close call in the last second...I sure don't want to read on here about a 700 crash...[X(] I've just been working, tinkering with gadgets, and just chilling on the heli stuff, hopefully, I'll be re-energized when spring hits... I'm not too sure about the future of the SDX though, as it seems we have lost the field at MHA...not sure if there are any alternatives for the future; http://home.flymha.com/ So, we'll see how all that goes...not sure why they lost the lease...but that field is gone for good, it appears. Shame, it was a nice place to fly...not perfect, but it made a decent heli field.. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year, and Mark, I sincerely hope things start looking better for ya soon![;)] Take care you guys... Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, Gotta lot of catching up to do....I've actually been fairly busy at work, and then the holiday stuff too... Nick, Cool on the new 700 motor, and the sucess with the servo project...nice work! Sorry you had/are having issues with the security system on the Impala....they were very problematic...my neighbor has one, and they had a lot of issues with it as well...you can do a google search, and read for hours... [&o]...sounds like the switch might have gotten it, I hope so. JPEE, Glad the 700 is progressing nicely....sounds like you are getting more and more comfortable, and getting the setup where you like it... The iPhone 4S camerai is very impressive indeed, I did an eBAy auction for a tool I had for sale, and took all the pics, even some close ups with it, and it did very well indeed... Mark, Sorry to hear abou the CC ESC issue....not sure what to tell you there...I've never opened one up, and it might be hard to tell if it's the servo wire connection, or the PC board itself....let us know how you make out... The weather here hasn't been too bad yet...got frost on the cars in the morning, but no snow yet...in the upper 20's so about normal for this time of year.... Not much else new here....hope you guys have a nice weekend, and have most of your Christmas shopping done..[X(] Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, JPEE, Your latest video looks great...seems like you are getting more comfortable with the big bird each time out...nice and smooth flights...looking great! [;)] Hope you all did OK on the Santa Ana winds...looks like some more coming tonight as well? Hope they aren't too bad for ya'll.... Looked like some people really got hit hard out there. Nick, Was the storm you had a snowstorm? I guess so, if you needed to use dad's truck? Is your Impala still running OK these days? Cool on the surge suppressor info... Mark, Sorry you have been under the weather, and the wife as well...[&o] Not a whole lot of new gadgets lately...I'll be looking at the iPad 3 when it comes out in March though...[8|] Didn't sell any helis, just decide to take my helis off my sig for now.... Hope you can get the MSH project back on track now that the bug has passed for you guys... Not much else going on here, just a slow day at work...typical for this time of year...people are going Christmas shopping...not too worried about their cars right now... Take care... Glenn

Hey guys, Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes!![:D] Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving....even though you guys had to work...sorry to hear that..but in Mark's case, I guess the overtime pay helped a little bit..[;)] JPEE, CONGRATS!!! I just watched your maiden video....looks nice so far...and I'm sure there'll be plent of little tweaks here and there...but for the first time out with all new equipment, it looked great![:)] Hope you can continue to get it more refined each time you go out....so happy for ya! Mark, How's your new heli progressing? A maiden before too long I hope! Nick, I hope the new MA heli comes out for you soon, sounds like you already have it all planned out! I'll relay the message to the guys about 2.4 Ghz at other fields as well...they would be interested to hear that...I guess 2.4 Ghz band is getting crowded nowadays...[&o] Hope you guys have a nice week ahead...and thanks again for the B-day wishes! RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, JPEE, Sounds like you are very close to a maiden/hover there, sir...congrats...I hope that you and your friend can get those last minute details figured out, and you can give it a whirl today! I agree, you are taking a lot on at once....new radio, new V-bar, new heli, new ESC.....just take your time, and procede with caution![;)] The heli looks great, very nice job on the build, and the wiring looks very nicely done as well... Be sure to get some video, it's a moment you won't want to forget...I know you've been waiting for a long time for this moment...[:)] Nick, That is great that your break starts tomorrow...sorry you had to re-arrange you schedule around work for your Thanksgiving holiday with the family...but at least you do get that whole weekend off...nice...[;)] Cool on the new router, and good thinking on the restore point to get back your wireless settings...[;)] Is your new router an "N" router? They are faster, and usually more reliable connections than the older "G" routers.... Mark, Sorry you were under the weather...glad you are feeling better....does working at the hospital give you any advantages as far as meds and supplies go? Cinnimon looks very cute! I have to ask...how did Ginger take the new addition to the family?? I would love to have a second cat...but I REALLY don't think TIGER would allow that...[X(][X(][X(] I have a feeling lots of fur would be flyin'...[8|] Yeah, we are down to 3 techs....which can be good....or bad...depending on the workload...so far it's working well...we get kinda busy at times....then like today..we are dead slow...so that would be even worse with more techs....so it's just about right with the 3 of us...most of the time... Not much new here...haven't been flying...and probably won't until next spring...I need to get all my batteries out, and put them in storage voltage....hopeufully, my interest will be sparked again in the spring...after a long, cold winter... Some guys here at the field have been having radio hits with their Spektrum radio equipment...has brought a couple of helis down, and hard...not sure what is going on...but they are all in an uproar over the Spektrum radios....not sure if it's the radios, or some sort of interference on the 2.4 Ghz bands in the field area....doesn't seem to be affecting the Futaba guys though... Hope you guys have a great week.... Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, Things at work have been very hectic...not too much free time to check the forums out...finally caught up here at home, ready to start a new work week...[8|] We are down to 3 techs....which can be good, but sometimes we get overwhelmed, like on Friday, Veteran's day, when a lot of government employees around this area have the day off, they come in droves...so Friday was a mess... JPEE, Wow, it must seem like Santa has come early this year! All that new stuff, the iPhones, the new 700, and the new generator....congrats on all of the new toys! Hope you and Judy are enjoying the new iPhones, they sure are cool, eh? I'm still learning new things about mine...lots to know! I figured your concerns would have to be taken up with Assurance RC, glad they got you all straight..they took good care of me, but it was a bit of a PITA on my end, getting the RMA, and then shipping the motor back... Hope the 700 project is coming along nicely...[;)] Mark, Congrats on the new MSH....hope you like it, and it turns out well for you...and yeah, 500 is a nice size...doesn't need a huge field, and yet is big enough to have nice stability as well...and the MSH will certainly be unique...I know very little about them....the powertrain sounds interesting... Be sure to keep us updated... Sorry it was too windy to fly... Nick, Cool on selling the 600 towards the new Fury 55...halfway there sounds cool..[:D] Hopefully you can get it and do the build before next season starts.... Sorry your glow starter needs more work....but you'll have plenty of time over the winter to work with it some more....no rush... Hope school is going well, and you are doing well...at least you get a little break for the holidays before long..[:)] Hope everyone has a great week coming up![;)] Scott, Glad to see you are still lurking around out there...how have things with the bikes been? Glenn

RE: are these blades any good for cp pro?
Hey guys, Not much new going on here...just catchin' up with you guys...[;)] JPEE, So sorry to hear about the misfortunes on the new 700 and build... I can't give you too much advice, except that when I had the motor problems with the 450 Pro, and wanted to get warranty service on Align products...the ONLY way was to go through Assurance RC....the main Align distributor in the US.... That was a couple of years ago, so maybe that's changed now...it was kind of a PITA, I had to prove that I purchased the kit through one of Assurance RC's approved resellers....which I did, at Hobby Hangar in VA... Hopefullly, however you get it taken care of, they will help you out....even with the stripped one way.. Keep us updated... Mark, I should know about what you are going through on the servos, since I have the same DS 285's...(mine are MG though) and the Trex 450 Pros....but I never had to mount the JR Servos in the 450's....only the B400... I used the grommets and brass eyelets when I did the B400....it makes it very vibration resistant, but at the same time, not as solidly mounted to the frame...so sort of a trade-off.... Hopefully, someone at HF that has done the install will be of more help... Nick, Cool project on the on-board glow starter...sounds like a fun project, and very handy at the same time... I remember seeing/hearing a glow starter board something like that on some helis a while back...can't remember the name of those systems...but it sounds very similar...cool idea either way... The iPhone comes with a tiny leaflet on getting started with the phone...not very informative at all... Apple prides themselves in both minimalistic packaging, and their products on being very simple to operate, so they keep the startup guide very minimal. They do however, provide a nice online manual, which is pretty comprehensive...(162 pages worth!) http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf Although that manual is pretty decent, there are sooo many tricks, shortcuts, and new things that people pick up on, the best way to learn is go to forums (like RCU, but for iPhones...[8|])...you can pick up very cool info there as well... I'm really going to try to get out and fly a bit this weekend, before it really gets too cold and crappy outside...hopefully no snow this weekend! We didn't get much snow here, in fact...none...but just west and north, got hammered...some of those poor people still don't have power back...crazy weather! Hope you guys have a nice upcoming weekend....[:D] Glenn
