RE: HELP PLEASE which electric heli for advanced
3DMP-e would be the "best". But not too many of us can afford one of those![:D]

RE: Will a BLADE CP controller work on a VENTURE CP?
Ahhh.... NO!!! Well, you "might" be able to get it to work the servos. You "might" be able to get to run the servos in the right direction. But I doubt very much if you'll be able to get it to move all the CCPM swash servo's correctly. How were you planning on adjusting endpoints, throttle and pitch curves, swash mixing percentages, revo mixing (if using a rate gyro), adjusting gain on a HH gyro (like a 401).....ect..... Just not even worth thinking about![:D]

RE: Balancing Small Elec Heli Blades
You don't need to build anything! [:D] Balancing main blades on these micro heli's is easy. Bolt them together with both leading edges facing down. Now you need to balance the bolt on something like a couple of tin cans to find the HEAVY blade. Find the centre of gravity for the HEAVY blade by balancing it on a knife or something sharp. Mark it and measure it. Mark the same distance on the LIGHT blade. Then balance on your sharp edge and keep adding tape until it balances on the marked COG. Bolt them back together again. Keep adding tape at the COG of what ever blade is lighter until they balance. ;) EASY!![:D] Even easier if you've got acurate scales.... ..

RE: Adjusting Futaba GY-401 sensitivity??
You only need a 6ch rx to adjust gain. But you need to set it up to do so. On my JR2610 the gyro gain is hooked up through ch5, which is the gear channel. I've changed the switch (electronically in the tx) to the elev DR switch. So I can switch between HH and rate. All I need to do to adjust gain is change the travel percentages on the gear channel.....

RE: Trex or Shogun
ORIGINAL: jh4db536 it's the perfect 2nd heli when you outgrow the Trex. the trex is very expensive for 3d due to its size and weight. big heli for such a small motor, and can only to fit a limited battery. to get enough power you need a very capable motor$ + esc $$ and insane lipos $$$ which arent up to the task yet. 4-5cell high voltage setup is almost required.
This would have to be the biggest load of rubbish I've ever read!!! The T-REX will 3D out of the box with an Align motor, ESC and battery! All cheap standard parts with NO upgrades.[:D] ..

RE: TRex 450 XL CCPM - JR 8103 help needed
ORIGINAL: bentgear One of the first problems I need to overcome is what hole in the servo arm to use to mount the linkage balls. Even at the inside hole on the heavier arms supplied with the servos it seems to be easy to overdrive the linkage and bind everything up with over travel. Is it normal to not use as much of the full servo rotation as possible? Swash plate mixing defaults to 60%, should this be left alone?
I've got the CDE(ccpm) with a JR radio, but it's a different model to yours so there will probably be some minor differences. All the link positions on the servo horns need to be exactly the same length. Then make sure that all three servos work together to increase and decrease the pitch. If any are moving in the wrong direction, use negative(-) values in your swash mixing setup. Don't use servo reversing. Next adjust your swash mixing percentages to get the appropriate travels without binding, working on pitch first......[;)] ..

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36
Walkera electronics have always been dodgey, but they do seem to be getting a little better. If that's your antenna I can see at the back of the heli, then it's way too close to the esc. With a brushless setup the esc is the biggest sorce of radio interference and needs to as far away as possible to the reciever, antenna, gyro, servos and servo wiring. Basically away from everything. [;)] Also keep the antenna unwrapped and at it's full length. Don't coil it around anything. Here's some very interesting tests on rc antenna's [link]http://www.rc-cam.com/ant_exp.htm[/link] ..

Melbourne(Australia) **Micro Heli Meet**
A few of us local Melbourne micro heli flyers have organised an indoor flying event once a month. We fly helis (only) up to TREX size, nothing bigger than that for safety reasons. Costs are divided equally between the number of flyers (spectators free). Typically it costs each flyer between $12-20 for 2.5 hours of flying. The next event is this Saturday August 13th 3pm-5:30pm More info below [link]http://www.mrchc.org.au/events/electric/[/link] ..

I pop my pin into the groove & next time I fly I find out that it has popped back out. RE: GWS EDPS-50XC Tail Motor review. (On Walkera 4)
I've been running the EDP-50XC with the 3020 props on my DF#4 for about 3 months now. I'm running a 3S lipo and a GY240 gyro. The first motor had about 30 hours on it and was still going strong. Unfortunatly I took some bad advice and fitted the larger 4530 prop and prop adaptor. Went through 2 motors in a very short period of time(2 or 3 packs each) Went back to the 3020 prop and have been going strong ever since![:D]
