RE: cut-off
Hi, You can use a mechanical switch between the Cutoff receiver or you can just use the Cutoff receiver as your ignition on/off switch. Either way works. If you use the Cutoff receiver as the ignition switch it will draw about 2-5mAH/Day from the battery, just like any failsafe switch does.

RE: PowerExpander Sport Plus Ignition Cutoff
Hi, You have to cut BOTH ends of the fiber-optic cable to prepare it. They must look round and shiny when viewed end on. This is usually the problem. You can verify the Cutoff receiver unit is working by shining an incandescent flashlight into the fiber-optic receiver.

RE: EQ6 transistor temperature
Hi, This is the temperature of the heat-sink. It will not affect the operation of the FASST receiver. The heat-sink getting this hot would mean you are pulling 7.5 amps continuously for several minutes. This should not happen under any circumstances any way, but this will not heat up the inside of your plane to the point the receiver will overheat. Your headers are more dangerous than the regulator heat-sink. The receiver should mount as normal on the unit or on a receiver mount. There will be no issues.

RE: Batshare 2nd output + MatchBox
Hi, The "Y" amplifiers only work when the output of the receiver is close to the actual battery voltage. You cannot use these with Futaba receivers and JR or Spektrum 2.4GHz receivers. They are just problematic in general. I recommend against using them is there is any way not to. Try using a plain "Y" extension.

RE: Batshare 2nd output + MatchBox
Hi Marcelo, You should not "Y" into a channel that uses an amplifier. Only "Y" into a channel that goes straight to a servo. You can fly it without the "Y" but your receiver bus voltage will drop when your servos what heavy currents.

RE: PowerSystem Sport Plus Setup
Hi Anthony, If you use mechanical switches (like the JR Heavy-duty or Cermark Heavy-duty) you need one switch between each battery and the PowerSystem Sport Plus. If you use our failsafe switch (Pin & Flag or Slider) you only need 1 switch but you need two charge jacks, as both batteries are isolated from each other and must have their own charge jacks. Please let me know if you have more questions.

RE: PowerSystem Sport Plus
Hi, We do not recommend it. Its bigger, heavier and has more power, you will put a strain on the unit. We specified a maximum size of 85cc, single servo per wing to give a comfortable margin.

Hi Zivo, The Eq10 will work with up to an 8.5V input. The receiver will get 5.0V and the servos will get the input voltage.

RE: Power Expander Sport Plus connections Help
Hi, Make a male-to-male adapter for the smoke pump power and plug it into an unused servo port on the PowerExpander. This will supply power to the smoke pump from the two system batteries.

RE: Power Expander Sport Plus connections Help
Hi, The PowerExpander Sport Plus was designed to work with 2 batteries. I strongly suggest you use both batteries on the PowerExpander Sport Plus or you will see more voltage droop to your servos and your servos will be slower and have less power. You have to use 3 batteries in this system. You can connect your smoke pump into an unused servo output on the PowerExpander Sport Plus.

RE: Batshare 2nd output + MatchBox
Hi Marcello, If you do not have a second open port on your receiver you can "Y" it in with one of your servo outputs. I think this is the best way to go.

Hi Meshari, The Eq10 has servo matching, the Pro does not. The Competition 12 does not have servo matching but does have a built-in Ignition Cutoff.

Hi, I am not sure what you asking. The higher the voltage you run servos on the more power they produce and the faster they are.

RE: help for first 100cc setup
Hi Meshari, When a servo is rated at 7.4V this means it can handle the full voltage of a 2S lithium pack (7.0V-8.5V). If you use our PowerExpanders the servos will get the battery pack voltage and these servos are fully compatible with that. Any of our PowerExpanders with Deans connectors (Pro, Competition 12 or Eq10) will work with a 2S lithium pack and these servos.

RE: help for first 100cc setup
Hello Meshari, No, we do not. The problem is you fly down to 7.0V on the Li-ion batteries. Regulators have a dropout voltage. When you batteries are below 8.0V you are not going to get 7.0V out of the PowerBox, it will be less. They are not telling you the whole truth. When you get down to 7.0V on your batteries you are going to be getting about 6.0V out of the PowerBox.

RE: help for first 100cc setup
Hi Meshari, What ever voltage you put into the PowerExpander Eq10 and Pro will go to the servos. The receiver will get 5.0V. On the PowerExpander Competition 12 the voltage will be slightly less but never more than 0.4V below the battery voltage.

Hi, Yes, the PowerSystem Sport Plus only buffers the signal so what ever comes out of the receiver will come out of the servo port. The PS-Eq6 and PE-Eq10 will only update at 60Hz always.

Hi Meshari, You have to cut both ends with a sharp razor blade or Xacto blade. They should be round and the center should look like a mirror. You cannot use sissors or cutters. We do NOT prep the ends.

RE: PowerSystem Sport Plus
HI Guillermo, Its more a question of plane size than servos. The PowerSystem Sport Plus is recommended for anything up to 85cc that has single servos on each aileron, this includes biplanes. It can handle planes up to 18 lbs or so. We can handle any size servo you feel like putting in this size plane.

RE: Power Expander Pro Battery Voltage
Hi Mike, You should get the same reading on either Deans connector. I am not sure why you are not. I am not sure why you are measuring the voltage on the white signal wire, this is an AC signal and you will not read an accurate voltage using a meter. If you want to check the receiver voltage you need to check the red and black wires going to the receiver.
