RE: RC18T2 pinion rubbing belt issue
You will want to get the AE Front Revised Gearbox. Just email them for it. There is some way to tell if you have the revised one (There should be two dimples from the mold on the front gearbox cover) You may want to check the spur gear from rubbing on the rear diff. If it is move both shims to the left side of the diff and you may have to sand/file/dremel a little bit of material from rubbing the spur.You can mount the motor lower on the motor mount, when you do this the pinion should not rub the belt.(you can see one of the motor mount holes in the second to last picture in the first post. I am using the lower left and the top right motor mount hole). If anything run it slowly and try to break in the belt a little bit. Set the belt tension in the front to medium.

which battery using an it charged? Heres the correct method (my mate was having issues also to enter set up mode an set LVC for lipo this was supports reply an worked [8D] ) 1. Turn on the transmitter 2. Pull and hold full throttle, while holding full throttle turn on the car 3. Press and hold the set button for 3-5 seconds ( you can't let go of the throttle), until it beeps. 4. Listen for the beeps that correspond to the change you are trying to make (LiPo is 4 beeps followed by 2 beeps). 5. Press the set button right after you hear the beeps. 6. Turn the car off and turn it back on. 7. LiPo cut off will now be set.

thanks for pics [;)] gasoline engine has mounting plate casted on base of crankcase [:o] so will have to try find mount yes clutch shoes do seem to be fitted wrong (engine rotates clockwise)

can't beat xray m18 awesome micro tourer luv mine too bits [:D] hpi has rs4 micro which your able to extend or shorten wheelbase 140/150mm but horrid drive imo, vendetta tc looks good (got buggy an luv that) rc18r most likely carrys over steering issues from truck but is fixable if can source parts. slightly bigger 1/14 sportwerks recoil or carisma gt14 great tourer once set up right.

8.0kv in rc18t 14t pinion 6.8kv in lst ( more torque than revs like 8.0kv) tighten slipper nut on lst if wheelies want but you run risk of shredding diff pinion gear on rear
