RE: ROSSI 45
had 2 of those 45s, nice engine , but what a mickey mouse muffler setup. finally went to perf spec for a real muffler. not such a deal when you have to spend another 65.00. then i got smart and went w/ jett. suprised their were not more complaints about that setup w/ rossi. have an older rossi 40 w/ the better muffler. seems like a hotter engine than the newer ones.

RE: Larger Revolver
don"t think a 61 will pull that plane w/ much authority. i would be thinking along the lines of a 120ax.

RE: Revolver a speed plane?
wonder how long that landing is going to hold up. mine just cracked, AGAIN, after only 20 flights. otherwise as the video shows (152mph), its a well made plane.

it is fast for a sport plane. slippery airframe. better than the sd 50.

the 75ax is a heck of a engine, but a scalded cat it will not be. around 90 w/ that setup.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
i have the 75ax in mine. nice combo, but the t.h. 75 was a little faster. w/ the ax it is hiting around 120-125 mph. like i have said in the past, its a corvete w/ wings. not just the slippery airframe and speed but how it handles.

good advise on the wing. had a 120ax on one and the wing evaperated. have a os 120fs3 pumped on mine now. terrible combo. maybe 60 mph. going back to the 120 ax w/ a jett muffler soon. would like to try a ys 140 .

RE: Ultrastick 40 questions
either engine is fine. mount your rudder and elevator servos at the rear of the plane. kinda like the h-9 twist. this plane is nose heavy and this helps a lot w/ the cg

RE: Little tony unstable in flight ?
could be any number of things. have someone else look it over. cg, out of trim, etc... the tony is a very smooth plane and you have one of the best engines for this plane. also this is not a begginers plane

RE: GP Cosmic Wind Minnow
both thr tony and the minnow are excellent planes. the best combo i have had is the ys 120 on the tony. i would have figured around 120-125 w/ that setup. had a 120ax on one and it clocked 116 w/ the engine not dialed in yet. love both planes.

viper-60lx
hello bob, checked out the viper-60lx w/ gps a couple of times. 2 weeks ago i hit the 133 mark. on sat i hit the 154 mark. i am using a apc 9-8 prop w/ omega 15%- 4% caster. am tacking around 18000 and backing of 6-700 rpm. the engine still feels tight. i know it takes a while for the 60lx to break in. my question is what rpm am i shooting for as the engine breaks in? this prop seems to be the right choice for this setup. still blowing to many plugs. thanks, russ

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf
cut the bolts. flying mine hard w/ a jett 90lx. no problem. a 9x prop on the 55ax will not pull the sd. the imfo above is correct. a 10 or 11 x 6, 7 , or 8. tach it and fly it experiment a little and you will figure it out. if you want more speed, a jett muffler will give you an extra 7-900 rpm, depending on the prop.

RE: Revolver + Saito 115
i hasve the rev w/ the 75ax. not sure about the speed but it is a nice combo. just moved to az and am trying to get some of my planes sent here. only so much room in a jeep g c. guy out here has a gps. would like to know what kinda speed the rev is geting w/ my setup. started out w/ a t.h. 75. that was faster than the 75ax. if you look at the other rev link in arfs and rtfs, cav is geting 148 w/ a jett 90lx. he was able to use the stock lx muffler . pretty slick installation. saito makes a fine engine, but its made more for acro type flyng, not speed or high rpm. ys is the way top go for speed w/ a 4 stroke.
