Cobi, horosho, spasibo :) that is not not my project, there is build of B-17 here: http://forum.rcdesign.ru/f82/thread116446.html That guy got 4 SPs but found them overheating and useless and opted out for OS Max 120III engines. This is why I asked if there is some secret to use them or they are just not good at all. Thanks, Kostya

Ok, I see. Seems overheating is major issue. Anybody know of any other brands of inline engines? Here we know only one guy who made inlines, Valery Kramarenko from Ukraine. He made them for An-26. But they seems are not easily obtainable.. Thanks, Kostya

RCV engine opinions needed
Hello! I'm asking it here and not in engine forum intentionally. I've been asked for advice on whether it worth buying 4 RCVs to mount them inside nacellies specially to preserve scale look. There are some opinions here (russia) that they are unreliable, overheating, etc. It is true? Anybody who tryed to build 2 or 4 engine scale plane with them please help. Thank you, Kostya

RE: Super Chipmunk
Thanks alot for your advice. I have good experience with HXT500s with 20oz electric foam Extra. People use them successfully with 400 size helicopters. I've noticed that glow power guys often tend to use heavier servos, 9g at least. I think I'll try to build my Tiger Sport with HXT500s and run couple of tanks during engine breakin and see if increased vibration cause their degradation. Interesting facts about Hayes engine mount. Did you compare Hayes with Dave Brown mounts by weight? I never seen any of them and need to choose lighter one to order. Can I save weight if I make it from hardwood or plywood? Thank you, Kostya

Dickeybird published his Twin Lizzie II which uses twin TD .049 engines (published in Flying Models).... should convert easily to electric. Brian [/quote] Hi Brian! Mr. Cox! Please post weight figures for engine mount. How much it saves going from 074 to 061 one? If I need mount for 061, can I use 049 one in the same manner? What servos you used here? Will HXT500 6g servos be enough for plane under 20oz? Thank you, Kostya

RE: 1/2a B-29 AP.061 X 4 ????
I've made some kind of fuel valve triggered by extreme position of the filght control handle (that was 20years ago with control line racing plane). Not really difficult task, you just need access to lathe and some brass or aluminium blank. Fuel killer might be traggered at extreme low position of throttle I think.

RE: Norvel Engine FAQ
Hello! I'm going break-in BigMig 061 towmorrow. Everything ready, but I've noticed warning in the manual telling to avoid using rubber. Rubber syringe, etc. They say that it will lead to irreversible damae of glow plug. I have fuel tank from Hobbycity and it seems contain rubber plug (or stopper?). It really does not look like silicone or something else, just plain black rubber (I may be wrong). Please tell me if it safe to use it or not? (I'm not going to store fuel in hte tank for long of course, just for engine run time. Thank you, Kostya

I'm afraid that film tank will be too small. I need around 2oz at least. Thanks to Steve Adams now I know weight of 2oz Sullivan tanks. 2oz Slant Flextank FSS-2 SUL 736 ..... 12.1 grams 2oz Slant Tank SS-2 SUL 436 ... 15 grams So winner so far is Sullivan Flextank. If anyone know anything better - please let me know. I'm going to save each gram.
