RE: SM Viper Jet good for noob?
I have to say the Viper lands very easily and is almost easier to land than a Reaction 54 in a way. Thats just my opinion. Andrew

RE: Metal finish
We had 35 flights on an F-84 covered in flite metal and not a single glitch with FAAST rock solid. Stick the antennas outside the fuselage would be my advice. Andrew

RE: P-200SX
According to my calculations thats about 51.7 pounds coming out the tail end. Thats a lot of power. How much better will the spool up time be on the SX? Price and availibility? Andrew

RE: Turbine thrust question
Ya know I heard that too. For instance, a P-60 powered Bandit ARF was indeed faster than a P-70 powered ARF, because of the exhaust gas velocity on the 60. Sure vertical was better on the 70 and takeoff distance but once the 60 was up and running, its faster than the P-70 in the Bandit ARF. I think the Merlin 90 would be faster and have the same vertical, takeoff performance as the P-80 but thats just what I think I don't really know. Andrew

RE: HVN PANTHER @ FRESNO JETS!!!!!!!
Geeze guys holy crap haha it was a legitimate question. The Panther really is off the hook but why do you guys just attack Chad. I was going to ask what happened to the Viper but glad I didn't. Yah I smoked a Bandit in a hill and burned a hole in the ground with a Viper. Nothing personal. Drew

ha ha, yea and I modified the back end so the Viper tail sticks out, allowing me to steer it with the jet rudder. It's "turbo charged" too when I fire up the P-200 [:D]

RE: Skymaster Viper Jet Build Mods
Thanks Craig, I did add 2 more hinges and added the blocks - a mod I forgot to list. This airplane had a lot of the previous weaknesses worked out from the factory; beefed up door hinges, cylinder mounts, windshield adhesion, etc.. I think Skymaster is doing a great job of incorporating the suggested changes into each new batch of jets they make. The 6-32 bolt is just added insurance that the wing is stabilized. You can get a small power drill in thru the engine compartment which will drill thru the fuz and gear bay on the wing. I then glued a blind T nut to the fuz and use a ball wrench to insert the bolt/washer from the wing side. It's real simple :) Steve
