RE: ARF 1/5th SEA FURY WANTED??
Hello Jay, the kit is, as you would expect, well presented all composite construction. Looks to be well engineered with high quality materials, the wood formers are very cleanly cut. It is not ARF as there is a lot to do.(no manual, just a cd with pictures) What does not show up well on their website is the scale fidelity and fantastic pannel detail that is present in all the mouldings. The size and sheer presence of the model has me spellbound at the moment.....I dare say if I started measuring and comparing with the full size I may find issues but I don't care...it's a worthy and beautifull mount for my Moki 250. The landing gear is awesome, scale looking all gear doors provided. The only oversight is the two piece wing...three piece would be easier to assemble at the airfield and work on in the workshop. Happy bunny so far! Chris.

RE: ARF 1/5th SEA FURY WANTED??
Try Vic rc, Bob Holman or Jerry bates? plans built up wing and fiber glass fuz, take a look at vics website. I am waiting for my Airworld Seafury to arrive from Germany, fully composite and big bucks! Chris

RE: ARF 1/5th SEA FURY WANTED??
I have resisted all Seafury kits that came before, this has to be the ultimate size, and perfect engine/airframe combination with the moki radial. I think I will go with the simple and clean RN scheme, should show up well against our desert landscape here in Dubai.

RE: Top Flite P-47D Thunderbolt ARF .60-.91: Building & Mods
Hi Fabio, I am also fitting the DLE 20. I am using the stock mount ,just trimmed the insides of the beams. You can take-off and flip the carb so the throttle and fuel lines now on top. Chris

RE: DLE 30 high power with throttle closed!
Thanks for all your ideas, I noticed that the butterfly spindle had some end play so I pulled the motor and had a good look. The butterfly was loose! At high openings it was jamming against the carb body/ventury...blipping the throttle was enough to un -jam. Re-tightening the valve (with locktite) sorted the end play as well. I cleaned the carb and the filter. I am hoping my problem is fixed. (with no damage to the servo) I am amazed how clean this engine is externally and peeking in to the crank case. (compared to glow motors with the same use/abuse) I will post the result tomorrow. Chris

DLE 30 high power with throttle closed!
I have been flying a DLE 30 rear carb for 50 or 60 flights with no problems.I just changed the prop and left the cowell off for tuning but have experienced an undesireable occourence, during the flight I reduced the throttle, there was a lot of lag so I landed to investigate.I opened the throttle then closed the trottle revs remained high. If I then blip the throttle the revvs die, somthing is sticking, but what? Chris

RE: Pilot RC Sbach 243 73
I think a DLE 20 would struggle with this airframe plus you would have to add more weight to the nose to ballance.DLE 30 is perfect with a 18 X 8 prop.I just recieved an OS 33GT , I will fly the sbach with this engine soon.

RE: Pilot RC Sbach 243 73
Hop on the Express to Dubai, they go for 1600 Uae dhs here, DLE 30 about 1000 dhs. chris.

RE: Pilot RC Sbach 243 73
Great plane, carbon edition no mods required (except tailwheel) DLE 30 with pitts + a bit of nose weight. It needs flying, will reward and teach you lots. chris.

RE: Pilot RC 73
I have the dle30 with the TBM pitts, I have one 2800 lipo for the ignition with its own regulator/switch(esky) and another 2800 with regulator/switch for the receiver and servos located either side of the fuel tank. With this set up I still have a 10 x 30 nut and bolt with 6 1inch washers to ballance correctly. Extra weight not a problem with this airframe. Flies fantastic! Mine has been flying for a year now with only 1 hard landing accident (when the bolt and washers broke free in a virtical manouver.......my ballance weight ended up in the tail ! The bucking bronco ride back to the runway took years off my life, I landed tail first followed by a hard touch down on the mains which pushed the gear mounts up an inch or so ,easily repaired overnight flying again the next morning) Great airframe and engine. chris.

Hi Ron, I have the ecu you sent me, will test next week: the high thrust flame out followed by the 8 inch flame has buckled the tail pipe so a little surgery is req. Fantastic service by the way...many thanks. chris.

RE: Wren 54 Mk4 - throwing flames
Hi Ron, I had the gurgling flames today from my 44 gold (just back from service ,new bearings new hausle pump) I was climbing out at high thrust, slowly throttling back when the motor seemed to flame out then the gurgling flames no thrust. My motor used to do this after comimg back to idle, I have lost confidence with this motor, I fear it will become an expensive paper weight. Any ideas? Chris.

W44 Flightworks 100-c pump?
Hi Ron, I purchased a Flightworks 100-c pump for my early 44 gold sn 01191205. Is this the correct replacement for my motor as I see Wren offer the 200 for the current 44? Chris
