Eating spurs ???
I have a LST that has been good for the most part but recently it ground off the spur gear in the middle of some mild driving. I replaced it with the XL version and things went well, then at the same time I lost the screw in the clutch bell and it ate the spur again(low gear). My questions would be: 1. Why can I NOT find a screw that will hold the clutch bell that will allow it to still spin like it should. 2. Why all of a sudden would it eat spur gears? I understand the part about losing that screw on teh clutch bell but before that?? Thanks[:D]

RE: Best choice for 6 year-old w/ newbie parents
I think that the options you listed are all good. Like they say if you like it buy it. You will allways have a different opion from each member. On a side note, if the Revo looks dont cut it for what you are looking for remember you can always change the body and looks of the truck![:D]

RE: About Rockslide RS10??
ORIGINAL: royalbrew I have run my 8.4 hump pack without any problems. It gives the RS10 quite a bit more wheel speed. I want to put in a lower pinion gear for some added torque. Anyone know what pitch the RS10 gears are?
What kind of hump pack is it? The only thing I have found to upgrade the battery is to have one made. I am having an issue with not enough power at times to even spin the wheels when up against an obstacle.

About Rockslide RS10??
Will the new RS 10 1/10 electric rock crawler run on an 8.4 battery or does it need to be the 7.2. I am never sure about that? Thanks for the help ahead of time!!

RE: Anyone know?
ORIGINAL: RedcatRacing Its a 6 cell 7.2V 1500mAH. You can see it on page 15 of the manual found here: http://content.yudu.com/Library/A17o3d/RockslideRS10Manual A battery is included with the vehicle along with a charger. Please note the battery is not a 6 cell stick pack. They are stacked 3 cells on top of 3 cells. Darin
Will it be possible to run a stick? And also what about an 8.4v?

I am in the process of buying an electric rock crawler, I have all nitros. So my question is most trucks run a 7.2v and some run an 8.4v. How do I know if I can run the 8.4 or what are the rules when it comes to volts?? Thanks ahead of time

RE: Rockslide RS10 1/10 Scale Crawler
ORIGINAL: RedcatRacing The date on the site June 4, is the new updated date. Unfortunately, dates change due to the production schedule, shipping or customs delays. We don't have much control over them but usually we are pretty accurate. The RS10 on the other hand was pushed back a few times and I truly apologize. This was due to issues when they were in production at the factory and had to do with the aluminum factory not being able to produce the parts quick enough. Now, the vehicles are on the boat and due to arrive Long Beach California at the end of May. It then takes a few days to unload the boat and get them to us in Phoenix, so as long as there are not issues with customs, a big earthquake in California or some other strange issue, than the latest date should be the final one. You are not the only one asking this question. We get numerous calls and emails per day asking about this model. Darin
Do you think there will be hop-ups or upgrades for these trucks? I was really looking at the 1/8 when i heard about this one. I am not a crawler but think it would be cool to just mess with. But then I usually get carried away and buy way more stuff than I need.

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?
ORIGINAL: xirtic Brushless Warhead Update: 1. Upgradaing the transmission to the RTX model without reverse, and a metal spur gear has been great. This transmission was billed as improving pickup response of the truck....and they were correct. The truck became much more lively with this transmission....the front wanted to just lift even at 1/2 throttle. 2. Increasing the pinion from 15T to 16T has had minimal, if any, negative impact in terms of heat on the motor, ESC, or battery. This has also made the truck even faster. 3. The Proline Mulcher tires are having a difficult time staying on the Maximizer beadlocks. I may have to invest in some rage rings to hold this combo together. I will attempt a remount of the tires first. 4. I mounted a piece of 1/8" aluminum to the rear bumper as a skid plate until I can fabricate a viable wheelie bar that does not drasticly increase weight. This "work-in-progress" is really providing a pretty good time.
Remember we like pics!![:D]
