RE: Important Powerbox question!
Try $10 per pack..... NIMH are old news, you better off just putting them in the draw for something else, Personaly i would have went with LiIon's from troy built 5600mah packs for less price Just my opinion -

Lift/shim the liner 0.025 " Lap piston to liner Remove the baffle inside the muffler Reamout the stinger on the muffler, but dont break through Bore out the carby within reason Polish the crank flute Radius the crank flute opening/leading edge Run the merlin glowbee style plug Polish the head chamber with scotchbrite to remove any varnish/carbon build up, do the same to the piston top Cool power 15 - 20% nitro & syn oil - no castor APC pylon prop 8.8x8.75 balanced Just for starters -

With a few minor trivialities .......sounds like you had a good flight, bugs are bugs.....they all get worked out in the end, You bringing/flying the jet next weekend ? I heard the 55%'r is gone to a new home, I've started to fit mine out, spend an hour or two of a nite time, it's small stuff that takes the time, Told Dave that we'll probably be up there next thursday nite ready for friday session, stay friday nite, fly saturday & come home late saturday, Looking forward to seeing you and the gang next weekend. I had outlayed money (full payment) for some 6 months and never did see any plane (F-20) even though they had said it was on the shelf in stock, i ended up telling them to shove it up their arse and went with an ULTRA-LIGHTNING. I was just curious - Thanks.

RE: Flash Help: Phenolic Canopy Hooks
[quote]ORIGINAL: BaldEagel Just as a slight aside, ''Phenolic'' is a process and not a material, the substance these things are made out of could be anything even sweepings off the floor, I bought a second hand Rookie to back up my own and did not like the original so called Phenolic horns already fitted so I decided to take them off and replace with twin carbon fibre horns, just leant on them and they snapped off at the top of the flying surface, As most of you know CARF say in the manuals don't use ball links with them as the sideways load will snap them, just thought a reminder on how weak this material can be may not come amiss. Mike The substance is very much like "Tufnol" or "canvasized bakerlite"....... cheap material on a high dollar item ??? Would love to see the parts made from G-10 greenglass - a much more robust material in both shear & compression mode.
