RE: Selecting servos for Trex 450...Help?
Ok, Why should I ge the Hitec ofer the Futaba's? The hs-5065mg is only 2 bucks cheaper on average than the s3156mg. The s3156mg is rated better. Also, are either of these servo's good enough for the tail? Thanks

RE: Help needed identifying car
Apparently he wanted to turn with authority. The suspension parts are a little different, But I think worth the risk. All it needs is tires and some electronics. If I break a part that the ultra wont fit, I'll just have electronics and a big as* motor for another project. For instance. I Completely totaled my Eco 8 Heli. Took the engine and esc out of it and converted a nitro rc10gt to electric. Works pretty good. It'll hang with a slash on our track.

RE: Help needed identifying car
So in looking around, it seems to be damn near the same as a Ofna 1/8 Ultra LX Comp RTR .26?? Would the parts be compatible. I see alot that look the same. Basicly concerned about the drive line. Would be pulling the nitro crap off and installing a large brushless motor in its place.

RE: LiPo battery set for 450
To be honest, I'm more than a little worried about using the cheaper import stuff. My buddy is using all turnigy stuff on his clodbuster and slash being he can buy more for less. He'll blow a battery once a month or so, and he's on his second charger. All this year. Its hard to argue with the price, and their charger is nicer by specification. Pretty products and rocky preformance doesn't make a good product. On the other hand, know two people that live and die by maxamps and have had one battery apiece blow on them. One as a result of a fast (100+mph) crash into a parked truck, and the other charging with a physicaly damaged cell. They've had no complaint on the chargers. The extra charging chemistries don't mean much to me. Have no use for the pB and won't be spending the money on a LiFe pack anytime soon. As far as the battery goes, same preformance for 1/4 the price??? That makes me more than a little concerned. Nothing better than using an already unstable battery made worse by cost cutting. Granted, these are my opinions. Anyone else using these turnigy chargers or zippy packs that can chime in??? Quality and dependability is #1, but saving a buck or two is nice too!

Schluter Superior Price???
Hey all, I was getting gas this morning, and A guy walking out noticed the Superior in my bed. Said he just bought one for 600 bucks without electronics and canopy. This isn't worth that much is it? Hell, mine is still mostly in the box new with everything included and my boss GAVE it to me because he thought it wasn't worth anything. All mine needs is assembly and electronics. If this is a 500+ dollar model, I many not feel right keeping it. At least not without at least telling my boss how much its worth. What do you guys think??

Could use some help picking out a sim..
Hey all. There is so much info out there regarding sims that I'm getting nowhere. My main preference for a sim is FLIGHT realism. I don't care about graphics and sounds. I want something that simulates flying as accurately as possible. It must also be able to use my Futaba 10c control. Speaking of which , where can one go to find cables for the 10c? Thanks!

Help with SCHLUTER SUPERIOR
Hey all, Just got a Schluter Superior Heli kit about 50% assembled. What kind of servos are required for a model of this size? Many choices available, but don't know what to look at. Its not like new Heli's that give you a size requirement and performance specs. I have a blank piece of wood. Thats it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Selecting servos for Trex 450...Help?
I'm looking for digital servos for my 450. Must also be Futaba. Right now I'm thinking of one of the following: S3153 and the S3157. Which one would work better for a 450? Also, is this servo good enough to run the tail on a GY401B Gyro? Thanks

WHat about a 9.6v 3000mah nimh battery? I already have batts and charger for these. Would these get me started if they were on the scorpion? Because it really looks like I should get that nice Hyperion charger, But its going to be a few months....I'm not keen on maxing the smaller one out....You know?

That is the charger I wanted. Pretty much charge any battery pack. But thats outside my budget at the moment. Besides, I won't be needing to upgrade for a year or two. But the one I posted would work for the 450 size heli?

Help needed in choosing motor and batt.
Hello again. Just recieved my 450 and could use some help. With heli motors and batts I am a complete noob. My first question is, is there a site I can go to to learn about the different motor types and more to the point, Batteries? All this talk about 3s and 2s3p and what not is confusing as hell. What about any recomendations on a motor? I'm just learning and would like this motor to take me through light 3d. Inverted flying, some loops and rolls. I'll be looking at a jucier motor next year when I know what I'm doing. I deff want to go brushless. What about the stock align 430xl? Is there another motor I should be looking at?

Help Needed Charging battery.....
Hey all, I have a computerized charger for my ecco batteries. My packs are 8 cell, 3000ma. The manual said to set the delta peak at 6mv per cell for an NIMH battery. But what should I set my charging current at? I can go .5 to 5 amp in .1 increments. anything over 5amp is auto. Charger people said 4, I tried one at 3 and in 7 min it said done and was in trickle mode. Any help???

Batteries for Ikarus Eco 8
Hey all. Turns out my buddies battery pack just doesn't have the punch needed to fly the eco 8. What would be the best choice in batteries? I have a feeling the eco 8 is going to be a lost cause, so I don't want to spend too much. But I still need to be able to fly for 5ish min so I can learn. I have a hkh450 on order I plan on going all out on, But i can actually get parts for that model, the eco 8? not so much. As it is now, I need to build a new landing gear from scratch. So, Is staying under 150 for batts and a charger realistic? It has a Jeti JES 300 heli esc and a purple bull motor with no numbers on it. It also has a 5mm main shaft with 42in rotor diameter. Any suggestions? Thanks!

RE: Ikarus eco 8
Personaly, I wouldn't get one. I just got one from my boss a few weeks ago. Wish I would have saved the money and put towards a 450 or 500 clone. There are not many aftermarket parts available in the us anymore and the stock parts are hard to come by. Granted, I'll still use it to learn, but it wont be something I'll fly for a long time. One good crash and its done. I can't get new landing skids for it, The head design is weak and the drive gears plus the drive gear hub are not flat and so they wobble. Unless your getting everything for next to nothing, save your money, buy a clone.
