RE: Next plane / First plane
as long as you have to wait and save for funds let me suggest some good servos and motor if i may with out stepping on you toes. not sure if you have any higher C rated but with the right motor on 3 cells the plane will perform just as well as on 4 cells.. any items i do suggest if just some of my thoughts of items i have used with good results and if the items are in stock to. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=4696 have these servos are in my ultra stick 25 and work great. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=18121 i have this motor in a eflight ultra stick 25, with a 12x6 prop on 3 cells it gives over 500 watts and that will give the advance a nice flight fast or slow. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=16231 i used this motor on 4 cell in one of my advances with great results, it was just easer to keep all my packs the same 3 cells is why i went backt

RE: Next plane / First plane
I have the advance and the 25 ultra stick cant say which one i like better , these i i went to after i had the T-28 and was getting bored with it, also had the mini ultra stick, all planes fly great and were a good choice to got to after the trainer T-28, so in MHO either one will be a good choice to get. have some one at the field get it trimmed out and ready for you to fly , do a few buddy box flights and you will be ready for either plane. the ultra stick is a faster build as you get the control flaps pre glued, i have my planes powere with 3 cell packs just to have all the same batteries.

the conversion kit i myself like it comes with the battery hold down case and strong looking motor mount... the first esc combo i dont think is for 1/8 scale, the 2nd combo you have picked looks good,, i run 2 hobby wing units in a emax and a ofna truggy. http://www.nitrorcx.com/07e-c-combo-m1.html i run 2 of these combos and i bought the program card seperat and it was even a bit cheaper.

RE: Mini Revo
I may be wrong but i think you can run the smaller pinion if you are running to packs in parallel, this will give double the run time , but dont change to the series harness and burn the motor or esc up

Iam new to the emax brushed myself and not sure how the emax it self is wired. it will run on max volts of 16.8. 1 4s lipo is 14.8 so is the wiring on the brushed emax in a series or parallel?? if a person runs a pair of 2s pack is that the same then as the 4s pack?
