RE: Save $20 on a 50$ order from Tower..
I have been a super saver member for quite awhile and usually the offer is $5 higher than the offer on Towerhobbies.com. The offer now is $20 off $150 so I would think the super saver code would be $25 off $150. Does anybody have this code? You can PM me or post on here. Thank you!

Sig 1/4 Scale Clipped Wing Cub & Gas Engine
I am looking at a 1/4 scale clipped wing cub that is about 90% done. It has a U.S. Engines 35cc or 41cc (trying to find out what size it is) mounted. Is this too much engine? I have never had a gasser and wanted to make sure this was not too much engine for this airplane.

U.S. Engines 35cc or 41cc?
I am looking at purchasing an airplane with a U.S. Engine in it. I do not know a lot about gas since everything I have is glow. How do I tell which engine this is? I have a 6 digit serial number but could not find a stamp for the size. The serial number is: 004242 Any help would be great, also are these good engines?

RE: New Workshop Questions, Ideas...
Well, we are all moved in. My workroom is useable. I put in 5 8ft florecent lights. One wall has 4ft tall by 13ft wide pegboard (white) and 6 outlets evenly spaced on it. Painted the floor gray which really made the room bright. The lighting is EXCELLENT. No shadow's or dark spots. I have 2 6ft folding tables and my 8ft workbench but will soon add cabinets with stainless or solid countertops. My son was born on Feb 29th so I have been busy helping my wife take care of him and my buisiness (which is part of this room) has been doing pretty well so R/C work time has been non-existent. This will change as I am excited to have this great space to work in. The room ended up being 415 sq. ft and will be great. I will add some before and after pics very soon!!

Meaden - Yes I have a large milling machine and a surface grinder. I plan on putting them in first thing as I need to get my business up and running ASAP. Saramos - I love your shop! Great work!! The ceiling and 1/2 of the walls are already sheetrocked and painted white. On the concrete walls I plan on using 2x2 or 2x4 studs to create a void area for outlets and put white peg board up. Seems like I can never have enough peg board room. I will probably do cabinets on the lower portion then above the counter top have the peg board. Kaos - That barn is awsome! That is what we all need. My ultimate dream is about 50 acres, have a 2500 sq ft house, about a 40x60 shop (heated of course) for R/C and just about anything else. Then have my own private asphalt runway! I guess this will hold me over until then! Keep the ideas and photo's coming. I will take some pics while I am there tommorow measuring for blinds.

Especially since the only bedroom down there is my 9yr old son's and our Wii is down there too. We might have to put a "no girls allowed" sign at the bottom of the stairs. My son is already asking for an air hockey table for next christmas.

RE: New Workshop Questions, Ideas...
Trust me, its been a long time coming. Either 100 deg. outside and sun shining on my pale legs while working on R/C or freezing with 3 layers on and glue not setting. Or the wind whipping through my garage and knocking all of my wings on the ground. As of right now I have only one 6ft by 3ft work table and in order to make room for the wifes car at night I have to put everything back on that table (3 fuse's) so I can't start a project unless I can move it later that night. Now I will be able to have a couple projects going at once and can let my cat's in to do their investigating but close the door so the dont eat my balsa. Next to the shop is a 42' x 20' 2nd living area where my 2nd fridge (which will be full of beer), wet bar, and 51" TV will be so I can relax while glue sets....did I mention I am excited?? Yeah the mortgage will be fun but will be worth it. 5.5% Fixed for 30yrs is pretty cheap though!!

New Workshop Questions, Ideas...
My wife and I are purchasing a new home and closing on Feb 8th. Its a walkout basement home and the main reason for me being excited is a 26' x 14' unfinished room with an 13' x 40" nook on one of the 26' sides. On the left side when you walk in there are two doors, one to a storm shelter and one to the HVAC room. So nothing can go on that wall. Any ideas or suggestions? The wall opposite side of the entry door is concrete but I am thinking of putting studs on the wall and putting peg board and plenty of outlets. I want an island in the middle. I have to also use this space for my work but that is only a 6ft table and a milling machine and surface grinder. The best thing is this room is climate controlled vs. my old small shop was a corner of a garage and like today being 15 degrees outside it is not plesant. Also, my father is a retired electrician so wiring anything is not a problem. I would like to have cabinets, but would like them to be over waist high. Any pics of your shop would be appreciated.

RE: Pica t 28 Trojan
I recently aquired an old GP/Bridi 67" WS Trojan T-28 that competed in the 92 Scale Masters. It has a pitts muffler with tubing so the exaust exits the scale location. Very neat idea and works well. A little messy until I get the engine broke in. Might be an idea and easier since this model is larger!!

RE: GP Bridi T-28B CG?
Well, had the first and only flight. Engine ran great, the exhaust exits out of the scale locations which is neat but messy. I let it roll our entire asphalt runway before pulling back on the stick. It came off the ground very nice, needed a little left aileron trim and about 4 clicks of down trim. I retracted the landing gear on a low pass after I got it trimmed. The next pass I noticed something hanging from under the front of the wing. So I put the gear down and the nose wheel came off. I checked all of that and it was tight, I'm sure it was the vibration even though there was not much. So I tried to slow it down and put it in the grass, it tumbled once and broke the left elevator half and the rudder, easy fix and should have it back up next week. As soon as I brought it back to the pits I thought I should have retracted the gear and belly landed. Probably would have been less damage and just would have came to a quick stop. Ohh well, too late now. It was squirly but I will put in dual rates next time. We checked the C.G. at about 30% back of the leading edge at the tip and it didn't have any nose heavy or tail heavy tendencies. Looked great in the air and next time I will play with the flaps and see what kind of elevator mixing I will need. Should be a fun airplane!!! Picture below is before I got it, only changes to it now is the antenna exits out of the bottom and right now the cowl is off until I get the motor running really good. I am thinking a 3 blade prop eventually since it took off and flew very fast at 1/2 throttle I think I could stand to have a less efficent prop on it.

RE: GP Bridi T-28B CG?
I bought it with Rom Air retracts installed, Airtronics servos (not my pers preference), and a Magnum XL .91 2 stroke. Im told the airframe with those retracts competed in the 92' scale masters. It used to have fully functional gear doors but were ripped off when the previous owner flew off a grass field. If it flys well I will probably go with robart oleo's and try to make it look scale again. It has flaps as well. It also has the scale hinging for all of the control surfaces as well as hidden control rods. The guy who built it did a good job, it just needs a little TLC, but before I put much work in it I want to make sure it flys good. The previous owner said he flew it so the worse it could be off is the battery placement since it has a chunk of weight on the nose. I will probably put the battery toward the front since I would rather have a nose heavy plane than tail heavy. I will let you know how it goes. I hope it does well since I really like Trojan's and like the detail this plane has.

RE: New CMP Cessna 182 .52 size
I always stay away from EZ connectors on flight surfaces, nosewheel and throttle are okay although a nosewheel 90 deg from straight would be disaster upon touchdown. You could say it is too EZ for the screw to vibrate out or loose!! Sorry, that was not funny :(

No, found a 4" long crack in my fuse and one of the wing root ribs were slightly crushed. They guy I bought it from ordered me another one. Should be here soon. I have asked several times how everybody has rigged their elevators and if somebody could post some pics. I have heard to not use the supplied pushrod and was looking for ideas on elevator setup. So, this is my last try...Can anybody post pics of their setup?

RE: Great Planes Trojan T-28
I am told this one competed in the Scale Masters around 92'. It has rom-air retracts, and has scale functioning cooling flaps and the exaust exits out of the scale exaust ports. So it should be a really neat aircraft that you dont see modeled often. As far as a difficult high wing loading airplane, I am up for a challenge. I love T-28's and I will fly it. Has an almost new .91 two stroke and what I am paying for it is what this engine would cost new. So I get the airframe, all servos, and the retracts almost free. Worth the risk to me. t burkey...PM me about the T-28 you are selling if you would. I might be interested!! Anymore background on this aircraft is very welcome Thank you

Great Planes Trojan T-28
I will be acquiring an older T-28 model that is said to be a Great Planes model. It has a fiberglass fuse and foam core wings. I am told it is 67" wingspan, has flaps, retracts, ect. Does anybody know anything about this model? How does it fly, any parts available? It does need a new cowl. Thank you

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
The T-28 is 4ch (ail, rud, throt, elev). DragracerArt, I considered the spit but the trojan has brushless, rudder, lipo (w/charger), and is unique. There are TONS of spit ARF's out there but hardly any Trojan's. I have decided the wait is worth it. eBay has spits and mustangs for $175 shipped with an extra NiCd or NiMh but the Trojan is still a better buy! I will wait, although I am impatient.

N7OR, Yes $177 shipped with the optional insurance for the RTF version! Excellent price!!! Just go to myrcsupply.net and place yours on back order, or you can get the PnP for $121 before shipping (about $135 w/shipping). I elected for the RTF since the LiPo on horizon's website is $60 alone, plus I need a charger and reciever.

The following is a link to one on eBay that is glassed, with retracts and operating gear doors. No radio or engine equipment. I am very tempted but have a baby on the way and looking at bigger houses so the wife says no, until we have a bigger house and the baby is here. It is located about 3hrs away and I would love to pick it up but would probably be scared to fly it. http://cgi.ebay.com/1-Off-Top-Flite-V-35-V-Tail-Bonanza-W-True-Scale-Doors_W0QQitemZ170139322467QQihZ007QQcategoryZ19164QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
