RE: Hex Wrench for Schumo Screw Set
It will work for the big bolts, don't remember for the small ones.

RE: HENNTec Tiger 1 tensioner install
Hi Don Here are the instructions in English, and I have emailed you the PDF file in German with photos. Step 1. Remove the idler wheels and the two nearest road wheels on each side next to the idlers. Remove the hull rear plate. Step 2. Using a cut off wheel or small saw, remove the stock Heng Long idler mount as per the photo. Step 3: To determine the location of the new 13 mm hole needed to mount the HennTec idler system, use the HennTec idler arm provided in the kit. Put the mounting shaft of the idler arm in the existing Heng Long idler hole, rotate the idler arm up to exactly 12:00 o'clock, in other words straight up, mark the new hole location using the idler axle hole in the idler arm, and make a 13 mm hole in this position. Step 4: Prepare the mount area inside the hull by removing part of the molded in ridge on both sides behind the idler mount system area as per the photo. Step 5: Place the HennTec idler mount in the new hole and using the mounting flange as a template mark the hull for the two new holes needed to bolt the system to the hull. Drill the two 3 mm holes in each side and install the two mounts inside the hull, being careful to align them correctly. Install the two screws for each side from the outside using a washer under each screw head and a washer under each nut. Use blue loctite on the 4 nuts. Any excess screw length can be cut off as needed. Step 6: Place the brass tube between the two mounts and carefully install the two idler arms from each side. The tube is cut to the correct length as delivered. Step 7: Install the idler wheels to the new idler arms. Usually the idler wheel axle will have to be shortened by about 5 mm for correct fit in to the HennTec system. Step 8: Washers are provided to go behind the idler wheels if they have to be adjusted out slightly for proper track alignment. Step 9: Install the tracks and adjust for proper tension.

RE: StuG complete
Beautiful job, Ausf! Excellent attention to detail and construction. I'm really quite impressed. I have never seen any reference of waffle pattern being applied in the field, but that really means nothing. The only absolute is that there are no absolutes. With all the old photos coming out of hiding for the last couple or three years, the variety of both field mods and factory slap togethers is quite interesting. No one can say it was not done, ergo have at it. Again, beautiful work!

RE: New Tanker
You will need no additions to your electronics except the Tamiya Battle System, which is plug in. For wheel bearings, you will need 32 of them. Size is 4 x 7 x 2.5, sealed and with no flange. You will have to bore out the existing bushing seat in each wheel to 7 mm x 2.5 mm. In reality the bore hole should be 6.95 mm so the bearing is a slight finger press fit. During assembly test each wheel before you glue them together, then test them again for rotation. After all is good, then you can paint the wheels. Do tape off the axle stub before painting.

RE: Armour Concepts Transmission Upgrade
To get scale speed from the Type 1's, you will need a gear down that bolts on each transmission, or if the motors have the 12 tooth pinion gear you can go with either an 8 or a 10 tooth pinion gear. Either pinion gear will require slight modifications to the motor mounting area to get the proper mesh of the pinion to the first spur gear. On the Type 2's you have, they should work in either tank, KT and Tiger 1. The main difference is the support standoffs on the bottom of the transmissions. KT is longer than Tiger 1. Of import also is the length of the output shaft, but Type 2's should work in either tank if the output shaft is the same length outside the transmission frame as your Type 1's. The new transmission systems are quite nice. I will have them in stock shortly, but they are rather dear. However, from the looks of them you buy them one time and your decendents will inherit them. An added plus is if you do break something or wear them out, parts will be readily available.

RE: Armour Concepts Transmission Upgrade
Those are Type 2's. They should be more than strong enough to run your Tiger 1, albeit they are a little faster than the Type 3's. If or when they wear out, then it's time to consider either a set of Type 3's or upgrades. Do you intend to go to competition meets and battle with the IR system, or will he be simply a driver? Either way the transmissions should last for quite a while. Tamiya used to make an 'overhaul' kit for the Type 2's and Type 3's, but they have stopped that for over a year now.

RE: Armour Concepts Transmission Upgrade
The difference between the Tiger 1 and King Tiger Armour Concept kits is simply the length of the cross brace. The TU's themselves are identical. You can use the Type 1's in a King Tiger and either fabricate a longer cross brace or PM me. I've got an extra KT brace here that I'll be quite happy to send you. The reason I said the Type 1's are too weak is the nylon gear at the final drive will strip easily if a track jams. Gears are hard to come by. On your later transmissions, please remove the black plastic covers on one and photo it for me. I can then tell you if it's Type 2 or Type 3. Type 3's are the best and strongest.

RE: Armour Concepts Transmission Upgrade
If you have the Type 1 TU's as shown in this photo, they will be too weak in the long run to do what you want, and much too fast without a gear down. You wold be better off getting the latest Type 3 TU's for your Tiger, depending on what you intend to do with him. If you want to build a scale speed bullet proof motive system, etoarmour will very shortly have the Spiegel transmissions in stock.

RE: first rc
Both tanks are strong performers and share common electronics. That being said, the Tiger 1 OTB is a better performer. The stock tracks are stronger and the track tension adjusting system is better in the Tiger 1. There is a wealth of detail parts and add ons for both tanks. Depends on what you plan to do with him, IOW Sunday driver, detail competitions, or knock down drag out Infrarot competitions like at AAF Museum. There is a great deal of knowledge on this forum. Some of the lads have been doing tanks for many years, and just about all of them are willing to share their knowledge. If you have any questions, just ask. Someone will answer generally rather quickly. Here's two links to my sight. These links give you an idea of some of the items available for either tank. http://www.etoarmour.com/products.php?ViewCategory=10 http://www.etoarmour.com/products.php?ViewCategory=9 With either tank, as I said you can go as little or as far as you want. Here's a pic or two of the inside of a Jagdtiger, King Tiger being the same. This one is heavily modified with reinforcements, hand made track adjusters, aftermarket suspension system, transmission brace and special eto produced competition transmissions.

RE: Hooben T-55 Recoil Help (solved)
Sounds and looks like you have an alignment problem with the recoil unit and the main gun barrel. Make sure all is in perfect alignment first, then check the limit switch. Also, Hooben has know problems with their electronics, although I have never seen a recoil problem. If the recoil unit itself is bad, a Tamiya Pershing recoil is a bolt in.
