ORIGINAL: zeddfirstwizard Thank you that sounds great!!!!!!!!! But I now have A problem........... I let the magic smoke all out!!!!!!!!!!!!! One minute driveing fine, next thing I know I loose reverse... then next thing it takes off for about three feet. Then nothing.....I have front wheel steering control but throttle is gone........ Next thing the magic smoke is coming out and fast!!!!!!! God that crap stinks !!!!!!!!!!! Anyway anyone got any ideas???????? Thanks
are you sure you have a Novak 4700? I don't know what that is, but if you have a Novak 4300 which is what comes stock in that car, then you can't run more than a 6 cell bettery or you will burn up your ESC which is what I am assuming happened to your car. That ESC is not rated for more than 6 cells.

mine has never blown up... just get a decent lipo charger and charge it in a metal garbage can if you are worried about it. I use a max-amps 3cell lipo with a mm5700

honestly, they are crap... there is a reason why they are so cheap... I have been very unsuccessful with mine. My BladeCP flies great, my 22e still in the box broken... if you have never flown a real helicopter before, do yourself a favor and buy a Blade CX.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
I set all of the settings to their lowest level, and the throttle curve that has worked best for me looks like a weak S.... shallow curve at the start, and little steeper in the middle, and shallow to the end. I wish I could limit the throttle end point. I also have my tranny locked as tight as it will go... I was thinking about taking the ball bearings out and locking it fully. Whenever I give it too much power, one wheel spins really fast and flips my car over. oh yeah... get rid of those leaves!

As long as your setup isn't too hot, and you don't continually mash the throttle, I would expect you could get a couple hours pretty easily... here is a claim that you can get 24 hours.... http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=Lipo-6000-74-Pack&cat=13

ripped off
ok, I agreed to a trade with *****... sent my car, he never sent his.... this was in April... I have filled out an official complaint with RCU and have never received any kind of response... This guy is avoiding me, lying to me, and basically stealing from me... he has not contacted me in over a month, and everytime he does, it is always more excuses... I have been more patient than anyone should be... why hasn't anything been done RCU?

RE: Nitro or Brushless?
Would someone please invent a nitro powered transmitter, a car that breaks more so I can work on it all the time, and one that leaks more oil so I can clean it all the time, and if you could put 27 more adjustment points on the car that would be great.... and while you are at it could you invent nitro powered lights for my house and some fuel flavored toothpaste... Thanks!

RE: Nitro or Brushless?
I really can't imagine that nitro has more power or speed.... I think if my mamba had any more power, it would create a rip in the space time and cause a black hole.... and if you need the noise factor, just run your weed eater at full throttle and set it down next to you.... it will be just like a nitro only faster... hehehe

I went to use my camera and there are grey bars on the screen, I thought it was broke, but I found out that it was dirty heads... so I go to circuit city to get a cleaning tape, and they carry them but are out... I actually had planned on hitting Best Buy today in my quest for a cleaning tape.... how is that for an excuse? lol It is true though... I will get it!!!

I will make a video tonight if that will be proof enough.... the picture of the GPS isn't even good evidence since it could be placed in the RC car after the reading has been made in a real car. I have gotten mine over 50 mph... I'll see how fast I can get it tonight.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
I have my mamba tuned all the way down. I am using a 4000mAh 3 cell Lipo. It is scary fast. The screw holes are easy to figure out if you put a piece of paper over the existing holes, rub it with your finger to make an impression in the paper, and then use it as a template on you peice of aluminum.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
sorry about the blurry photo.... I forget the name of the little pieces that hold the wheels on, but the LHS should have them. They are just little collars with a set screw. I used heavy gauge piano wire for the axle. The LHS should have that as well, or a stainless antenna whip would work well too. This thing works great, and I can now pull wheelies at 40+ miles per hour without wiping out. I have actually had all 4 wheels off the ground a couple times and only the wheelie bar touching the ground for at least 20 or 30 feet. When you get going too fast in a wheelie, the body can catch enough air to lift the car off the ground. It is a little scary. I think I need to pin down the bottom part of the body to avoid this.

I just made one for mine as it was really hard to drive without it with a mamba 5700.... I used airplane wheels and some aluminum to build it. I'll post a pic if anyone is interested.

RE: Offcial xxx-t thread
I have the 5700 installed in mine.... with a 3 cell 4000mAh lipo..... I had to build a wheelie bar for it as it was undriveable without it. I can pull the front end up at any speed. I have had it going fast enough for the wind to catch the body and lift the whole car off the ground with only the wheelie bar touching for at least 30 feet. The fastest I have gotten it is 50mpH, and I have to back off. Having the gps strapped to the front bumber helps a lot. I have maximum limiting programmed into it. I wish I could get some solid tires for it. On the dirt I dont use the lipo. It is too much. But it sure is fun on the street. Gets your heart pumping!!! I'll try to post a video.
