This is exactly what I have been waiting for.Can`t wait to see the final product.Also would there be one available for an Abrams tank?I`m in the process of converting a 1/18th static version to RC and it would be great if I could get something like this and make sound like it should.

Don`t know of a fix yet for the RX18.The whining noise that comes from it does get old after awhile.But I can live with it.[:D]

Thanks. pattoncommander -Yeah my video camera broke so I had to use the video function on my digital camera to make the video.Didn`t realise the swastika was backwards when I made it. thecommander -I have the new style RX18 installed and a computer speaker hooked up in it.

Tiger video
Ok here is my first ever video of my tank.It is running with plastic tracks and plastic 3:1 ratio gear boxes I made.I`ve been using them for about a month now and there holding up quite well.I still want metal but I have to go with what I got for now.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuvAMS7lx5s All comments welcomed.

Thanks for the info on the lights.One more question did you wire the lights to the headlights,because I watched your video and noticed the red lights came on while the tank was starting up.If that`s how you did it could you tell me or show me how? Thanks shadowwolf

RE: Wiring up a sound card.
I have an idea what if you could power this off the airsoft power leads.I don`t use the airsoft gun anyways,so how about wiring the card to it.That way when you push up the left stick it will activate a voice command,such as open fire,move out etc. Would any body know what the voltage is running to the guns motor,because this is something I`m going try if it works good if don`t well back the drawing board.

Tank Commander Sound files
Does anyone know where you can download some sound files of german tank commanders giving firing orders or any orders.I`ve looked on youtube and didn`t have any luck finding any so far. Thanks for the responses.Yeah I was just wondering.Like I said you only hear it when you first give it the throttle but other than that it goes away with full throttle.I`m going to keep using it because the sounds are just better than the sounds on the other one.It sounds more like a Tiger now than what I think were the sounds of a Sherman tank.

RX 18 Difference
I have a question for everyone.I got at new rx 18 board recently for my Tiger tank.I swapped it out with the one that came with it to see if it would make a difference with the sound.Well it did make a difference the machine gun sounded different,the start up and idle sounds where different,the cannon sound sound was stronger and more robust sounding.But heres where it got interesting when giving the tank throttle all it would do is let out high pitch whining noise when it started moving and calm done after givingit full throttle.So I was wondering if anyone else has experineced the phenomon. The one on the left in the picture is the new one and the one on the right is the one that came in the tank.I noticed the new one has an extra board in it,could this be the reason I wonder. I have a question about this.I just got one of these cards and going to install it this weekend , when you hook the speaker wire to middle tab on the volume control do you mean the part the white wire is going to.The reason I`m asking is I just don`t want to mess it up by hooking it to the wrong tab.Thanks again for this info can`t wait to hear what it sounds like.[:D] shadowwolf

This is a great idea.I have one question where do you get the voltage regulator from I`ve looked for one but can`t seem to find one.Also do you think it would be possible to use this even without a DBU system installed.In other words could you just hook it up and just run it with out it or do you need the DBU to trigger it.
