RE: ASM Lancaster?
Wot is the go with that ugly looking canopy? The company puts all that time and effort in to develop these planes then ruin them with ugly stuff like this! I hope they make a better effort of that Lanc canopy before they put it into production.

RE: BCMAEngines
G'day all, just a little heads up! I'm running Adam's BCMA 26 with the WT433 carb which powers the 40. The figures I'm getting are; 7400rpm on a Xoar 17x8 prop[8D]. This engine is running spot on. It powers the 70 inch quite well. I'm very happy with the results[:D]. I'm going to try a 18x8 for more 3d action. I'll let you all know how it goes![;)] Cheers, Shane

RE: BCMAEngines
hey Adam, how do they get the 28cc capacity in the SPE 28? Is the 26 bored out a little or do SPE use a longer stroke? Maybe us guys with the 26 may be able to get a few more cc's for a few more revs![:D] It would be interesting to know. Adam, have you pulled apart the 28cc and compared it to the 26cc? Is it an easy modification? We'd all love to know![)]

RE: BCMAEngines
Hi guys, just letting you know I have started getting interference using a JR R700 rx so I have swapped it out for a JR PCM one. I'll keep you up to date on how it's going.[;)] On the gasket covering the pulse port issue, when I received my engine from Adam here in OZ, I took the carb of and noticed there was gasket covering half of the pulse hole so just to be on the safe side I cleaned the gasket up with a fine hobby knife and it worked a treat. Done the same with my mate's engine. The little 26 has had a 5 litres of fuel through it and is going strong (7300rpm On a Bolly 17x6). I 've just swapped props to a Xoar 17x8 and it's pulling 7000rpm. My mate Steve ordered the same engine, he is using a 16x8 and he is getting round 7200 rpm with only 2 1/2 litres of fuel and it continues to get stronger. Cheers to Adam and his great product and first class service even if we are "Down Under".[:D]. The best thing is the lifetime warranty on the ignition, thanx Adam!

Hey P-Diddy, it's the same Extra 260 on Adam's website, just a different colour scheme[;)]. I'll have to get my mate to shoot some video. Shane

RE: BCMAEngines
Not yet. I have to get them on the computer. Adam said he'd like some as well. My Extra is the same as Adam sells but in a different colour scheme (red, white and silver). My mate Steve has the Edge 540 which his BCMA 26 is going in.

RE: BCMAEngines
Hi guys, I recieved my engine from Adam here in Australia and let me say the 70 inch Extra he sells now coupled with the BCMA 26 is such a fantastic combination if you are new to gassers. I have about 40 mins run time on the 26 and it's swinging a Bolly 17x6 prop at around 7300 rpm. This plane is the easiest thing to fly and with the 17x6 prop it is a gem to fly. I've only had 4 flights and I can't wait to get some more time on the Extra and try some 3-D stuff. This is one sweet plane/engine combination. If you are after your first gasser, get this combo, you will not be dissappointed. Adam, thanks for the great products you sell and it has been a pleasure dealing with you all the way here in Oz. RE: BCMAEngines
Good point about the props. I'd rather break a $20 prop than bend a crankshaft! The prop seems an excellent shear point if anything goes wrong. I've got the BCMA 26 in a 70" Extra 260. This is my first foray into gassers so if all goes well with this one then my next step will be Adam's BCMA 40 in something a little larger. A few of the guys are running DA 50s, ok if you have the money. My mate Steve who also bought the BCMA 26 has got a World Models 27% Ultimate with a DL 50. I'm very interested to see how the DL 50 performs as I think it is carbon copy of the DA 50. Very nice looking plane the Ultimate. I've got one in the 40 size, keeps you on your toes! How's that beautiful Cap of yours going? By the way Andy, I'm on niteshift at the moment here (1.20am) so a conversation with you is keeping me awake.[:D]

RE: BCMAEngines
Good point Andy, If it ain't broke, don't fix it![;)] I think I'll leave it alone. Once I get a tach to see what sort of revs I'm doing I might have a play with it then. I'll put a mark on the engine where it is now and if it becomes hard to start or doesn't run properly I'll put the timing back to where it was. By the way how's that Wild Hare Yak goin? A couple of guys in the local club have got Wild Hare planes. They are a real nice deal.[8D]

RE: BCMAEngines
Hi Andy, thanx for the reply. The hall sensor is sitting round halfway. I didn't know whether to undo the screws and slide the sensor all the way round for maximum timing or just leave it where it is. Like I said I need a tach to see what revs I'm getting. I'm currently running a 16x8 prop at the moment with about 1 litre (1/4 of a gallon) through the engine.[:D]

RE: BCMAEngines
Hi guys, got my engine from Adam here down under. Took a bit to get started but once it was up and running all was well.[:D] I have to borrow a tach off another member to see what revs it's pulling but it seems good at 25:1 mix for run in and transition is perfect. Just a quick question; Should the hall sensor be pushed round all the way clockwise for maximum timing? At the moment the sensor is sitting about half waybut the engine seems to be running fine. RE: BCMAEngines
Hi Andy, thanks for the quick response, by the way, I have seen your Cap on the BCMA website and it is a credit to you. Here in Australia we only get the stock version of the SPE 26 and 40 and after reading many posts on this engine I feel it is a good engine but lacks in the ignition department. After reading these threads on Adam's engines and the performance of his engines, when the time comes I am going to place an order for the BCMA 26. I am very impressed with the quick responses and answers that Adam and Michelle provide, I think this is very professional. The BCMA 26 is going into a 70 inch Extra 260. This is my first gasser and I can't wait to get it started. It may be little while due to lack of funds but hopefully I can start the build soon. To Adam, Michelle and even you Andy, keep this forum going good and strong cause it gives us guys outside of the states a good insight into the many different products available to the the whole world of RC planes. I can't wait to mount the BCMA 26 in the front of the Extra and show the guys at my club what a first class engine the BCMA 26 really is. Cheers, Shane

RE: BCMAEngines
Hi Michelle, Would you guys ship the BCMA 26 cc engine to Australia? We get the stock SPE 26 cc here but after reading the reviews on the BCMA 26, I think I'd prefer to get your engine instead of the stock SPE model. Of course the only problem would be a warranty claim with shipping involved etc, but I am willing to take that risk anyway. I am thinking of buying a Seagull Models Laser 200 and I think the 26 cc engine would be a perfect powerplant for this model. Could you please give me an estimate in American dollars for the 26 cc engine, the pitts style muffler and shipping ad we can go from there. Cheers, Shane

RE: VQ Models Hurricane
Hey Boltman, Nitrodude in Canberra has a VQ Hurri on his website for $255.00. Just wondering how he got hold of it so quick if they supposedly haven't been released yet. He doesn't have any details to match it, all it says is that it is a 40 size with a picture of a real hurri in the advert.

WM Ultimate 40s
Hi guys, I'm new to this site but I just want to thank you all for the info on the Ultimate. I maidened mine the other day and what a great little bipe this is. Mine's powered by an OS 46AX with a Slimline Pitts Muffler and for the C of G I put the battery pack behind the servo tray and it worked out spot on. I'm running a Master Airscrew 12x6 prop and for me this is a great combination. As for landing I run the throttle down to 1/4 to the edge of the strip, cut it to idle and it just greases in. I've stuck with the recommended throws in the instructions and for me I think they are ideal[:D]There's no bad tendencies in this little Bipe, what a rocket! Once again, thanks for the info, much appreciated.
