RE: please respond
You don't need 2 threads on the same subject - just something to take note of in the future.

RE: Looking for a new 1/8 buggy
Thanks for all the replies. In terms of my LHS, he doesn't carry much 1/8 stuff but has good vendor relationships so I can order pretty much anything and have it arrive really fast. So far I am leaning towards but Mugen but we'll see - I just treated myself to a helicopter as well [&:]

the Firebolt 15T is pretty comparable to the Titan 12T.

RE: could someone please..
put a piece of paper between the pinion and spur, and set it so that it's snug but not too tight. You should only be able to remove the paper when the gears turn - that should set a pretty good mesh.

RE: Lipo
Get something you wont have to replace, it's always best investing in a high end charger. Better for the batteries too.

RE: breaking in a motor
Titans aren't long lasting motors regardless, they're pretty disposable and not worth the time if you ask me.

RE: Best pre painted Traxxas stampede compatible body
You can also spray paint one color and use decals - anyone can do that and it can look pretty good. That way you have tons of body options, if you're sticking to pre-painted there are far fewer options.

RE: Assassins Creed II
Yeah the rennaissance atmosphere is executed really well. The look and feel are much more convincing than the Middle Eastern setting of the first game.

I forgot you were a daytime soap fan Reiko. You'd get along with my mom, though she insists that she doesn't care about them - just happens to watch it everyday :P For me... In no particular order: Iced coffee, Internet, iPhone. The rest figures itslelf out sufficiently.

RE: ta05 question
It's a good kit, the TA-05 is a pretty well established on-road car. I've driven a few but never the IFS model, it's probably as good if not better.

Looking for a new 1/8 buggy
I'm in the market for a new 1/8 buggy but am pretty unfamiliar with all the options. I had an 8ight 1.0 that I gave away to a friend getting into the hobby, but would like to give 1/8 a shot again. I don't race competitively but I do like high performance stuff. Any suggestions? I'm currently looking at the 8ight 2.0, Mugen MBX6, and the Xray XB808.

Assassins Creed II
Anyone else picking it up? I liked but didn't love the first one, but supposedly this one improves upon all the areas I had issues with. Check out some gameplay footage if you can, looks really good.

RE: Electrical connectors ? Savage x 4.6 Voltage question
The connectors are fine, unless you really want to replace them for some reason. The only time connectors really matter is when you're dealing with high current. I wouldn't recommend feeding the RX 7.2 volts unless you specifically know that the model in question can handle it, most can't.

RE: What is your personal GOTY?
Sucks to be average then [:)] Normally I don't mind console versions, but in the case of Dragon Age they definitely got the worse version. I originally picked up the PS3 version, but was pretty put off by the framerate and messy tactical controls. Traded it in for the PC version and it's a lot better.

RE: Belt or Shaft
For straight performance I generally prefer belt drive, but it's definitely less durable and more prone to needing maintenance. Unsealed belt drive systems are no-no for off road use in my book.

RE: Looking to build a 1/10 scale truck.
Check out RC4WD.com, excellent selection of scale off-road stuff. A nit on the expensive side but it's all top quality stuff. They make lots of axles, frames, transmissions, wheels, suspension parts, etc.
