RE: Motor oil for shock oil?
BARBER, you may read the ENTIRE article before you throw up your PHDs. I read the article and it clearly states- "Multi viscosity oils work like this: Polymers are added to a light base (5W, 10W, 20W), which prevent the oil from thinning as much as it warms up." I hate that you have made a moose's rear of yourself, you were correct about the W meaning winter, but you are wrong about the oil thinning as it gets colder!!

My two year old can handle a full size spectrum without any problems. The only thing he does different than me is for reverse he puts his finger behind the trigger to push it forward. You might could adapt a non hobby grade remote from a childs rc to work!

RE: lhs horror stories
I would have to say that I feel like an exception to the mass of people here. I have 4 LHS's within 25 mins., three of them have very friendly and knowledgable personel. I also feel the need to support the LHS due to the internet revolution. I deal with two Hobbytown's and a GREAT local shop named ROY'S. I will continue to shop at them as long as they are around. I have found also that the more they get to know you and intern the more you spend with them the better they treat you, and even give you discounts.

RE: Anybody got the Losi Mini rock crawler?
I love mine. I added stick on wheel weights to the insides of the wheels, moved the electronics around, and lowered the battery, now it performs great. It is much smaller than the Axial, but if you take into account the size I think out of the box it outperformed my Axial when they were both stock!!!
ORIGINAL: hands without shadows First off - are you sure you want a belt driven off-roader? Belt and dirt dont mix.
I agree, you would be better off to pony up for a shaft driven kit, you could get an 1/8 buggy in kit form, or maybe a truggy kit.

RE: Tire problem on Revo
The front tires are "ballooning" next time you mount up some tires just run a layer of duct-tape along the inside of the tire and it will not balloon much at all. You could also do a center diff conversion and add some thick fluid to the center diff which would allow more power to be transferred to the rear and the front would settle down a bit. Yes it is normal though!

RE: Savage Or Baja?
I think I would differ from the others and say keep the savage and save a little longer for the Baja. I do love driving the Baja, but I still enjoy the other scales just as much, each has its own place. If I had to choose one I would probably take the baja strictly for the ease of tuning and the longer run times. Either way enjoy what you have.

RE: Revo clutch problem
I generaly would not promote Integy, but I have been using the two shoe aluminum clutches from Integy for a few gallons now. I am running them on an OS21 and have nothing but good to say about them, and I too went through several composite clutches, including the MIP's. To be fair to MIP their clutch did outlast the stockers!!

It's also a different color than the gen1, which was yellowish. I have ran nothing but Byron Race in my cars and I have not noticed a big difference in the two GENs. I am on my second gallon of GEN2. I do love their fuel though, I have seen buddies have problems that I do not get and I attribute some of that to the fuel!
