Okay that clears some things up for me. The plane comes with a 55 amp ESC so doubled it can handle 110 a. According to an earlier post the zippy 4000/25C (100a) will work good in the plane for both the w/b and output. I would also like to try a 3600/30C (108a) and a 3300/35C (115a). The extra 5a won't cook anything will it?

horizontal stab warp
I've got an EDF foam glider and from storage or something the stabilizer has a little downward pitch at the tips. Does anyone know a way to take out the slight down bend of the stabilizers? I was thinking that I'll have to channel out a grove to glue in a piece of carbon fiber. Does this sound like the right thing to do or is there an easier way? Thanks, Sam

"C" rating
I'm going to fly a new type of plane at full throttle most of the time. Is it better to have a higher or lower C rating (ie: 25 C or 35 C)

Thanks Roger, I had it set up the same as your 4 channel. I will check the throttle trim....I may have jacked that around at one point.

Tried reversing the throttle channel on the TX and it still didn't cure it. No motor control at all. Only the rudder works properly, and the # 3 Throt ch contols the elevator . I think I might have seriously screwed up the programming on the radio and I don't know how to correct it. Do you know if i can reset the radio to the original default? Thanks, Sam

Futaba 6EX... am I doing something wrong?
Hi all, I need help from someone who knows what their doing with electric RC!!! I have a Futaba 6EX tx/rx and just received an electric ARF from Hobby King. Hooked up the battery to the RX ( after turning on the TX) and all I get is the " Deedle dee then fast continuous beeping from the ESC. I don't have a clue how to rectify it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sam

LiPo storage
Hi all, I'm back to Iraq and I have a question about storing my LiPo's. Am using an Accucell 6 charger that has a storage charge feature with the option to charge from .1 amp to 1.0 amps. The batteries I want to store are 1800 and 2200 MaH batteries. So what amp do I charge them at?

LiPo storage question
I'm on my way back over to Iraq and want to leave my batteries on storage charge. I have a Accuell 6 charger and it has a battery storage option. Here's my question - what apperage do I charge the battery(s) with? It allows .1 amp tp 1.0 amps. The batteries are 1800 to 220 MaH.

I need a $200.00 Tx/RX
Wanting to get a new 2.4 G Tx /Rx for around $200 I narrowed it down to Futaba 6EXi or the Spektrum DX6mx I'm sure they're both good radios and will work fine for what I need. But is one notoriously better than the other? Is one more cofortable? Does one feel more "cheesier" than the other?

Just to clarify.....I only know the voltage of each cell because the Turigy will show me. And there is no way I can individually charge the middle cell. I also checked the charger with a newer battery and that worked fine with all 3 cells. It all points to a bad cell. Just wondering if it's salvageable?

Thanks for your inputs. More questions - Can I still fly the plane with it (expecting a reduced flt time) or would it possibly mess up the ESC or pose a safety risk while flying the plane or while charging? I did try running the batteries down and then re-balcance charging them but had the same results. Would discharging them from the charger help at all?

Hello Tom and thanks for the reply. The charger I am using is the Turnigy Accucell 6 and the batteries are a Turnigy 1800 and a FlightMax 2200. While charging they both show a reduced middle cell voltage. To answer your question - yes, I did set it to the "Balance" charge setting on the charger and also had the balance plug on the battery plugged into the charger port.
