Well there are some of the bigger names in pylon racing that have EF-1 and already said they'd show up if we had some races.
ORIGINAL: pylonboy26 Skully, I think Freddy was talking about the baffle I had in Hico.....It was an old muffler Duda Had given me which I had been flying for a while....I did have the new baffle that you saw in Waco though......so both of you are right......I confirmed this with Duda a couple of days ago because I didnt know which baffle was in the muffler he had given me....it was the cyclonic baffle in that muffler. I dont think one muffler was faster than the other though....and if it was I couldnt tell the difference. Just wanted to clear up what I was running for the both of you......YALL ARE BOTH RIGHT!!!!!!!
That's great Jason thanks for clearing that up.

A question on the starts has come up, and I remember us, (Texas CD's) talking about this. On the start, do you have to go AROUND pylon 1, or just break the plain.

RE: CLUB 40 MUFFLERS?
ORIGINAL: gefisher
ORIGINAL: JohnMcGowan Hi Freddy, the measurements that were taken from Tim's, (aka Battman) new mufflers were used for him to machine the go-no go gauge. I also have a g/ng gauge from him and the go part of the gauge can be inserted into the muffler outlet by about a 1/4 inch, then it stops due to the ID of the outlet being tapered down toward the exit. The mufflers had not been altered in any way beforehand so the measurements that were provided earlier are indeed correct. Remember, it needs to be STOCK and no drilling. We've only had one guy locally who ''tried'' to pass thru inspection with a drilled out stinger a couple years ago but he was busted on the spot and was told that he could not run the muffler that day during a race. This would be the same P.O.S guy who has attempted to cheat at other flying events yet screams out that everybody that beats him fair and square in Club40 is a cheater. You all know who Im refering to. Will wonders never cease?
Man John you didn't have to bring me into this! I didn't think the drill bit was that big.........[X(]
Man Gary I'm glad you got in the line of fire for me on this one!![:D]

If I missed it what the format going to be for this race? Are we going to fly heat for points, and fly off ties, like The Nat's. Or are we going with the C,B,A mains as usual? If we were to vote, I'd like a Nat's style, with fly-offs.

RE: Hico, TX Club 40, August 25, 2012
ORIGINAL: THRL-CKER This is something for the rules committee to go over. I personally have never seen a canopy or evan a wheel come off during a race that I can recall, but it is possible. As I understand the rule there is nothing at this time that would cause the plane to be DQ'ed as long as it was flying safely. Did Jason go on to finish the race in first place and then was DQ'ed?
I think it was the last New Waverly race, I had my canopy knocked off at pylon 1, on the start, and won the heat race. then we went into the mains, and I think it was Bob that said I needed a canopy. Big Dog Walther, gave me the one off his back-up plane, and then he and I mid-aired off of 2 and we lost both planes! Now that I'm thinking about it we have had it happen at Georgetown too.
