RE: Shaft driven props
I an not sure why you would want to make the power system so complicated when there are so many other more simple and reliable alternatives?

RE: Graupner Kwik Fly MK3 ARF
For those whom might not be aware. The Graupner Kwik Fly ARF is not the Phil Kraft design. It is a Kwik Fly in name only, as the design and structure, apart from being a single engine, low wing, monoplane, are completely different from the original. It should not be considered in any sense a classic pattern aircraft.

RE: Wing Tip Shape
On the full scale plane the tips improve the rate of climb a bit. On your lightly loaded model there would be no noticeable flight difference. The decision to do the Horner tips or not depends on how scale you want the plane to look.

RE: adding weight?
Adding any weight anywhere on the airplane increases the wing loading and stall speed. Always think removing weight first, i.e. nose heavy, remove what weight you can from the tail, second move existing equipment/components to achieve better balance, third and last resort add weight ( if you have already done One and Two above, it will be much less than just adding weight alone.

RE: Motor Thrust Angles
No need to worry about thrust angles. That was all taken care of in the design of the aircraft through wing and tail incidences. Just install your electric motor mounts so that you will be able to "tweek" the engine thrust a bit to trim for powered flight.

RE: Another building bench What not to use.
I took a suggestion from Dave Platt and purchased a 4'X8' piece of 3/8" tempered glass for a work bench top. It was not cheap, but will last a life time, is perfectly flat, you can glue jigs to it and then just scrape them off with a razor blade. You can tape your plans underneath between the supports and build on top of them, I also use it as a light table to copy plans, and (depending on the size) you can build two or three planes a once on it.

RE: Pattern plane ID please (Vintage era?)
I am pretty sure it is someone's kit bash or home brew design. I don't recognize it as a published design or kit. JH

RE: Please help me identify this plane.
Brian, It is definitely a Top Flite Orion. The wing only looks like it has a constant cord in the photo due to lens distortion. Keep an eye on Ebay, kits come up for auction every once in a while. John

RE: (WTA) K&B 65 engine with Tatone Muffler Setup
The K&B 65 is the sport model and does not have a pump. You can buy a pressure tap from MECOA and drill and tap the muffler and install the pressure tap. or you can buy a K&B muffler for the engine from MECOA.

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus
Is that Ed's airplane? If so, it does not have the Kaz style paint scheme he always used on his planes.

Millcott Specialist items needed.
I am looking for the owners manual for the 8 channel single stick (dual stick would also be ok) Millcott Specialist R/C system. If you would rather not part with the original, a copy would be fine. I also need servos or just the servo connectors and switch harnesses for this system. I am looking for servos/connectors and switch harnesses to equip two airborne systems. Does anyone have any of these items they would like to sell? Thank you.

Need KRAFT KPR-8FD receiver & TX modules
Does anyone have a working Kraft KPR-8FD receover (FM narrow band Dual conversion) on Channel 48 that they would be willing to sell? I also need a Kraft FM transmitter RF module on channel 52. I would also be interested in buying any working receiver and transmitter matching pairs of the above model. If you have, name your price, I need them and will pay any reasonable price. Thanks very much, John

RE: Ed Kazmurski's Taurus
Cees, Your drawings for the the Wester Taurus are excellent! I am now finishing a Taurus from a Top Flite kit powered by an O.S. 0.45 FSR. I would very much like to build a facsimile of the Proportional Taurus as a companion for my Top Flite Taurus. Will you be making your drawings available to others? I would like to buy a set. Thank you, John

I have lost my owners manual for my Kraft KPT-7CS Mk IV single stick transmitter. Does anyone have one that you could scan and send to me via e-mail? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
