RE: Having trouble removing (pinion)? gear on Firehammer MT to replace motor mount
Dc.. not to argue with you on this...If for some reason the grubs screws do not move..you should apply heat..I have used a mini torch..there like 9 bucks to buy... You need over 400* degree's to break the lock tite loose.....Now in this man's case ..Maybe a hair dryer ..on the transfer gear to heat it up..... You idea works some times......Just trying to help the man out here.........Hope you get the gear off ok...Slawhammwe

RE: Having trouble removing (pinion)? gear on Firehammer MT to replace motor mount
That's why the heat is applied..to break the seal between the gear & lay shaft....it won't take much....with the heat....It will come right off.....gentle twist is all....you not putting a death grip on the gear......I have done this many time........There may have been lock tite used before..you have to heatthe transfer gear to melt the old cured lock titie.........Slawhammer PS

RE: Shenqqi Diff
Use diff gear set from Duratrac.....Firehammer...they are the same as what you have now.....only better gears....The cost is like$39.95 USD...... You can go FG rear diff....but you also have to use different inner & outer drive cups.....as well.....repairs for the internal Fg diff is very costly...... That is my suggestion on using the Duratrac diff gears...........Slawhammer

RE: Zenoah-CY wrist pin bearing
There not the same.... and the cy wrist pins are 25 mm. Zen wrist pins are 27mm cage bearings are also different..asto the washers......Measure them.... do a search on them as well....I have used both.......The CY piston is better quality tha a Zen.....You can use a CY piston in a Zen cylinder....I have done this and I have it in my present engine......Just my thoughts on this...Slawhammer

RE: DX3S made my FGMT CRASH
FailSafe? You need a electronic engine kill switch for 3rd channel....Get the killer Bee kill switch..to kill the engine... I think you had low battery power..in your truck...The radio fail safe will work..But I hate them....the use of 3rd channel electronic kill switch is better...any signal lose..any low battery..Turn off the Tx...the killswitch will kill the engine....Slawhammer
