RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Glad to see there are still people out there buying and modding their HF's. Weather in the UK is just starting to get better so I'll have mine out again soon. Just picked up another HF for a steal on ebay too ($150/£100) in great condition too. I don't think the seller knew what they had and accepted an offer from me. Remember, if you have a Hellfire join the HPI Hellfire Club on Facebook :)

Just bumping to keep this thread alive :) any HF owners out there still? join the HPI Hellfire Club on face book! :) In regards to the diff talk above, I use CEN GST diffs in mine, they fit straight in to the HF diff casings and are soooo much stronger. Still loving my baby!

Great video Nitro. Parts on ebay all the time. Recommend buying a second roller to raid for spares though.

RE: HPI HELLFIRE Problems!!! Help!
I still have a Hellfire. I love it too. Yes there are flaws, I used to chew up diffs all the time (I know they weren't shimmed as well as they should have been) But like Stussman, I upgraded to GST diffs and haven't had a problem since. There are more of us HF owners out there. Join us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_134996439884043¬if_t=group_activity

I don't know how many Hellfire owners there are out there that read this thread anymore but for those of you you who still love their little piece of Truggy history might want to join the HPI Hellfire Club on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_134996439884043¬if_t=group_activity Maybe see you there? Thanks. Got the GST Diffs in now by the way and they work great. Just waiting for some integy MSR7 shocks usually about $90 but integy's website had the silver versions on offer for only $29.99!!!!!!!! If you are quick they may have some left.

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
My first GST diff turned up today. Got stuck in customs and cost me the equivalent of 20 US Dollars to get back, thats what I paid for it in the first place! I'll get some photos as I install it. Just have to wait for the second one now before I can play again :( Hope it doesn't end up in customs too.

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
One GST diff on order, should be with me in a week or so as it has to come from the US. Seems it isn't available in the UK :( As soon as another affordable one pops up on ebay then I'll install them front and back. I'll take pics of the install but you'll see some on page 57ish of this thread too. If anyone out there has a spare CEN GST Diff kicking about gathering dust please let me know and I'll take it off your hands!

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
:( looks like i need to invest in the CEN GST diffs. My LRP .30 is trashing my stock diffs. Only the front diff though. After about 5 mins of running on a new diff the small bevelled gears literally shatter! Been through 3 sets so need something stronger!

Nasty Ham! Can you tell me what size bolts and nuts you used for the replacement where the arms join the bulkhead? I still haven't done this mod and am forever buying new bushings after splitting them and knocking out my arms. Thanks

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
I put in my LRP 30 on Friday along with a JP3 pipe. So far my baby has had 6 tanks through her not running above 180 degrees and cooling in between but she's really starting to rip. I'll start tuning it this week and get some WOT runs to see how she goes, but judging from the break in I've been doing she is going to be mental!!!!

Nice! 5th place with your HF is great. Like Thef@st1 says - you don't need the best gear to do well. The HF is still a great truggy. I'll get some pics of my baby up soon. She is waiting for an engine transplant at the moment.

I'll see what I can do. It will be May at the earliest though :) my biggest worry now is if the extra power from the LRP will strip my diffs! do you think the standard pipe from my H/F will be ok with the LRP?

1mm springs ordered! My LRP arrived yesterday :)!!!!!! My wife then confiscated it :( Apparently i shouldn't be spending my money on myself so I can't have it until my birthday at the end of April. Women just don't understand.................. I should have got it delivered to work instead of home. Ah well, gives me time to start replacing all the screws for hardened steel ones, besides the weather in the UK should start getting better by May so at least I can break it in in decent weather :)

Ok, I don't have a shell. I don't have anything except for what you see in the pictures :) So are parts pretty standard for this? I know this sounds dumb but Petrol is new to me. I have 3 nitro cars but this is my first venture in to petrol.

ok, I've ordered my LRP ZR.30, the 37mm Fly wheel, some aluminium clutch shoes, some AKA City Block Tyres (med), AKA black and chrome wheels, the HPI billet alu engine plate and some integy alu engine mounting blocks. I still need (and want your recommendations on): Clutch Springs - are there good and bad springs, if so what should I be looking for? Cheers guys!

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread
Ok a flywheel question for you! As I am going to be upgrading my engine, I figured I would replace the flywheel and clutch shoes too. HPI have 2 Flywheels for the HF: The 86562 (black 7x34x10mm) which I think is the stock version, and also the 87543 (silver 7x37x10mm). Which is better and why? does the additional 3mm make a big difference? Also any recommendations for some good clutch shoes before I just buy some rubbish of ebay? Cheers guys
ORIGINAL: stussman
ORIGINAL: sleeper341
ORIGINAL: 3130pembroke those 4.6HO always run hot if you want to get any real power out of it- if its smokin and running hot you probably have weak compression what you get for a $100 motor
Assuming that it is due to the compression, I'd look at buying a replacement engine. What would you guys recommend for the Hellfire
