RE: The Horror price you pay
I had a 450 EXI V2, change this, change that, this breaks, that breaks or catches fire, you know the drill. Today my 450 is 85% Align, flies nice and smooth, nothing more to add, no bling either. I saved up my $$$ since late august, now I have An Atom 500, used Jr 770 3G / used Jr 8900 on the tail, new Hyperions DS16 on cyclic. Comes with motor 1050kv and 60A Hobbywing. Nothing more to upgrade. The thing is, I saved my deneros, took my time and bought what I wanted, not what I could afford at the time. In august I couldn't buy this bird, it was out of the question. Patience is the key. Just my 2 cents

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
see, I knew they'd be back, Scotch taped the end of the boom that goes in the block, it might stop the thing from slipping. And I installed a GY 401, holds better than anything I had before, nice. And couple of other things to, no bling thought. Still at the hovering stages, but I'm pleased with what I see, the thing is solid. later...

[quote]ORIGINAL: sly the dogman I set it up like this : set the servo at 90 by hand, with slider in the middle of the tail shaft, open the tx in hh mode, set the servo with sub-trim with no creep on either side. no expo, no d/r on the rudder. it work good set like that. ecxept that I have to always work the tail otherwise it wants to spin slightly. RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Ok, let's see if i got this right ; D/R and expo is on switch D, therefore only 2 positions. rudder is at 120% on D/R, expo at + or - 65 ? on both positions. For info ; ail and ele at 100% D/R and - 30 on expo. I got a 3155 futaba on the tail. So, I set the servo at 90 by hand, with the "slider" center on the tail shaft. Then initialise gyro on hh mode. (would someone come back to me for the + or - on expo) If I missed something please feel free to comment. Many thanks later

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
0 position on the servo, that's 90 right Tx gain is 32 (futaba 7c), Will set both pots at 0. The tail rotor does not respond like it responds with the telebee. When I move the left stick, the servo horn just sits there either all left or all right, like there's no creep to ajust . Will give it a shot with what you told me to do. Later and thanks

RE: EXI-450 discussions/mods/scale projects
Capable of a very ugly hover (sim this week), got a telebee gyro, on a EXI 450 installed a G401B just to see the difference, when in use it double flashes. Tried it outside, very hard to control. Direction says : neutral position of tail rudder is moving, and you have to reajust and set it. Ok,how do I reajust and set. I know they're posts here on this gyro, can't seem to find them. Or maybe just stick with the telebee for now and get a better one later.

Hello, Changed an antenna on my 7C to a rubber ducky. Screen was fine when I finished installing it (antenna). Went to fly my heli today bummer dude, no screen. I don't have to be a rocket scientist to change an antenna, you know. Maybe I touched something in the Tx or maybe it was doomed from the beginning Do you have an idea ?

What I have is a Telebee but its not a V2. Haven't heard of those. Do you think it can hold a 450 EXI. (it's in the mail) I know the best way to find out is to try it, but you know, we're talking here.

Hello, somewhere in the mail there's an EXI 450 PE with my name on it. Got a Futaba S3155 and a Telebee gyro for the tail. Would a G401B gyro be better or one is as good as the other. And as for the S3155, strong enough ? Sly.

Yes , I did replace them with the extreme ESK002, and did not replace anything else. So still ajust them by turning the extermity. I'll send an email to Micheal and see what he says. Thanks. Later.

Hi, got these turnbuckels on the heli, when I put the tool in to ajust, it pops the ball link off, always, Like the links are to wide for the ball. Does yours do this ? Can something be done ? Might as well keep the old ones. Later.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Replaced the feathering shaft and tracking is better, the blades don't go underneath on an other when I ajust the links, still some space between the blades maybe 3/8's. But will ajust precisely tomorow. The old feathering shaft did not have an apparent dent that I could see. Even as I rolled it on a glass. I put in a stronger feathering shaft (and they're a bit longer). Thanks for the info. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] Later

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Its all relative, you might say I crasked but I say "it fell", the pinion (motor) separated from the main gear at about 3, 3 1/2 feet from the ground landed on wet and soft soil. Anyway, the heli is straped down, spooled up, no woobles nowhere, paddles are horizontal and straight. I did not know that to track blades turning swashplate links or upper links mattered, does it ? Everything that needs to be oiled or greased, is and no cnc. So I'll check the feathering shaft and the bushing (as soon as I find it). Keep you posted, Thanks

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
hi, I put the gyro on normal and the nose goes where I point the stick. I'm on the second pack of Raad's lessons and the heli up to now reacts very disciplined. Every thing is set up right, cause I took the time to do it. Oh and I found some lub, check this out, sewing machine oil, it lubricats but its not greasy, the brand is Unique, made in Toronto. later, Sly.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop
Hi, Got it, it was the little screw in the washout base itself, undid that and the hole top of the heli came out, that's what I wanted to do, to keep it simple, I tought that I had to take everything apart. And I know that to get to a specific part I have undo something else, this is not a snap-on thing. Have a great day (I will) Sly.
