G'Day Trent, I have a model design P40 and it has a G62 and goes like a rocket, anything bigger would be a waste. Peter [image][/image]

Q80 Prop Bolt Size
Hi all I have a new Q80 (old but not run until this year) which is a great motor in a seafury but today the spinner let go and subsequenty prop bolt, prop and everything else that makes it go, and it turned into a 43lb glider. All ended well but I cant seem to find the bolt size for the prop bolt. If anybody can help it would be appreciated, thanks Peter

RE: Model Design 96
G'Day All, Just to let you know I am able to do stencils as well as vinyl and some nose art. If you have seen Steve Thomas's B17 these were all done via masks (Stencils), article on the B17 is in the latest airborne mag. I am currently in the process of developing dry transfer but not quite up and running yet. Have a look at attached for examples, cheers Peter Aero Art & Decals rc-decals@aanet.com.au Rons Nieport is masks, B17 is masks, Spit is combinaltion of mask and vinyl, nose art as a sticker

Quadra 80???
I have just purchased what was quoted as a Quadra 80 second hand although unused. Can you please let me know if Quadra in fact made an 80 and if parts are still available etc as I can't seem to find reference to it on either the US engines or the Quadra aerrow sites. I was planning to run a 3W 24x10 wood prop, is this appropriate?? Any assistance or knowledge about this engine would be greatly appreciated. cheers

RE: DeHavilland Mosquito
Hi All, I flew my Mossie the other day and I can tell you it is ballistic with 2x 46AXs. Flys well at 1/3 throttle but unfortunately the mechanical retracts I used aren't strong enough so a new set are on the way. Great flying twin for those about to fly their mossie. Cheers from Down Under [:D][:D][:D]

RE: twin 4 star 40
dbrcer, I have just ordered a 4 star 60 kit with the same intention of converting it to a twin. I have a couple of Enya ss40s for the job. Let me know how your flight tests go, any pics you have would be good also. cheers[:D]

RE: Bucking Voyager E
Brian1, To combat the wobbles, as has previously been mentioned, you need to up the headspeed by way of either a larger pack or a 16T pinion. I am currently using and Astro 020 with 8200 Lipo which gives a good headspeed on the 15T pinion. I have also installed a fan from a computer CPU to try and keep it cool. Unfortunately this motor has spent more time being repaired under warranty than flying[:o][:o] When its working its great with 20-25 flights easy. Good Luck

RE: 700mah, 1200 mah in dragonfly
Josh, Slight drift to the left on take off is normal and even more pronounced in forward flight due to the reduced airflow over the retreating blade. It should be relatively stable in the hover though. I think with this type of heli it will always drift a little this way or that, I certainly wouldn't worry.

RE: 700mah, 1200 mah in dragonfly
I,m currently using a 7.4 v (2 Cell) 1200ma Li-Po with a 370 motor and separates and am getting 18 minute flights with bags of power to spare. Best move I ever made going to Li-Po. Not sure about the higher voltage though!!

RE: Dragonfly seperates help!
Another easy option to solve the lack of mixing is to use a Heading Hold gyro. I got a lightened version from e-flight in the UK fairly cheap and the whole system works really well. My tail is held rock solid using a GWS EDP-50XC and small direct drive prop with no mixing.

RE: Hummingbird Motor RF?
I have a similar setup but am using separates and had a similar problem. I found that if the speed control is too close to the receiver you get this problem about 1/2 throttle. Move them away and all is OK.

RE: Feda Dragonfly and Simulator
I also recently purchased a dragon fly but found the cable supplied with the TX wouldn't work on either FMS or Pre Flight[:(] . I actually bought the pre flight interface and use it with my 3810 and it works a treat.
