RE: SNFF 2012-01-15
Looks great, particularly the soldiers. Just wish the pictures were clearer so I could see them better, but really great job.

Looking for Aber tread plate
I've been trying to find a source for some tread plates made by Aber, part #PP03. I tried Air Connection here in Canada and emailed Aber and never got a reply. Anyone know any good dealers of Aber products? I don't care if they are overseas, as long as they are reliable and trustworthy.

RE: Pz. 3 & StuG. 3 parts assistance...
and if there is a way to get parts, I'd be interested too
Asiatam sells replacement return roller rubber tires for the asiatam setup. They also sell roadwheels and return rollers individually or by two's I think. I was sure I saw replacement roadwheel rubber as well, but I can't find it there now. Duh, never mind. Buckeye36 already mentioned a source for Asiatam roadwheel and return roller rubber.

RE: Sprockets
I saw them correctly they have a hole in the center outside and I rather don't care for that. I'll try to do something about that.
The early panzer III sprockets from Kenny Kong were like that. The center cap was molded on, too small and had a hole in the center. Â I drilled out the center hole to accept the caps from an Impact set.

Not sure if this helps but I am using Asiatam sprockets and Kenny Kong early sprockets with Impact tracks. Mine seem to run true, but not sure if other sets may wobble.

Looks great, I really like your panzer II.
the right track slipped out of the sprocket and we felt the temptation of creating a surreal scene
-and a giant red ball. I have one of those Marui Tiger's as well, fun to play with.

Putting in all the little details you have done like the tow cable clamps and brackets, headlight wires and weld beads are time consuming but really make the tank stand out. What kind of paint scheme are you going with?

RE: Tank Crew Camo Question
I believe it's someones rendition of a heer "water" variant winter parka and trousers issued as winter clothing to heer personnel late in the war, it's not a tanker uniform specifically. The heer (army) had two patterns in use during the war, splinter and the "tan and water" patterns. Anything spotted would likely be an ss pattern and not worn by army troops. So it is relatively accurate (if it's a heer tanker).

RE: New ARM-03M at Tank-Modellbau
Just look it up on google translate. You can also email them, they understand English. Here is the translation from google; This module has many of the controls and the remote control Heng Long RX18 board, plus there are still ways to control extra functions on the tank. The ARM-03 M is simply connected via the plug tower the signal is picked up as well as the ARM-02 from the RX18 board. Measurements of the ARM-03 M (70x50x15) mm. Connections: 1. +7.2 volts 2. GND 3. Signal (pin 3 on the RX18) 4. motor Connections 5. Tower plug-RX18 6. Gun flash LED connector 7. Gun raise and lower (proportional) 8. tower MG 9. Bow MG 10. light 11. rotating tower 12. Tamiya and Asiatam recoil system Heng Long Remote Control features: 1. Committee of the Gun (triggering the flash LED, Tamiya or Asiatam RRZ system, reset the tank no more) 2. Switching from tower to bow MG MG 3. Raise and lower the tank gun (press the lever tank gun up, the next time you press the lever down KWK) 4. Turning the Light

RE: SdKfz 250/9 project
If you push on the spring it does flex a bit, but like you said scale is too small, the halftrack is too light to make it actually work. The whole thing is pretty solid but I'm not sure if it's up to a lot of punishing use. I'm planning on making 2 more but will make them a bit simpler next time. I like working with brass, only I hate when I have to make more than one part looking exactly the same.

RE: SdKfz 250/9 project
I made mine completely out of brass parts, after originally trying to make the parts with styrene which resulted in a clunky appearance. Next time I won't bother making the leaf spring parts and just the axle.

RE: ORDERING FROM ASIATAM.DE SHIP TO USA???
Asiatam should be able to ship to USA. I've ordered from them a bunch of times. I'm in Canada but I'm sure it makes no difference. I just email them with the list of items I want and ask for the total with shipping to BC. Sometimes they're a little slow with responses but ask them if they will sell you just the replacement rubber tires that you need. I've never had any problems ordering from them and orders arrived in good time.
