i have a tornado xp never had any other nitro cars before got it running and tuned in real easy if i would do it again i would buy the two speed xl version broke a couple a arms running it in the cold (less than 10 degrees out ) easy fix buy the stater kit with the car its a good deal

check the spring on the clutch it might have came off this will make it engage the clutch while still at idle

it got up to around 6f deg today i think to temp does affect the plastic parts when it was around 30-35 didnt break after about an hour in less than 10 deg plastic is stiff im not blaming the car at all in fact i like it and will be offering them for sale in MN very soon

well i have been running my redcat the last few days and the warmest it got was 30 f and stuck it in the snow banks many times buried it completly 2-3 times only thing that broke and i dont know if it is a problem i could even blame on the car was going full blast down the street for around 50 yds turned a little to late caught the snowbank hit hard onto ice and broke a a arm and a shock cracked open read many places all have broken a arms i think i just caught it right all on the one tire and snap all done for the day need ally arms broke at the pin where it is its weakest

make sure to check the trim button for the throttle is increases the speed also without pulling the trigger

the throttle rev switch makes it so you have to push to go then swith back it makes pull to go i selected the swith that pull to go push to brake number 9 turns on the brake when throttle released i use that setting brakes when throttle off till i learn to brake better

i also own a redcat its a tornado xp this is my first nitro i think it is fun as heck and it is fast enough to get it in trouble real fast started right up and runs great should have got the one with the 2 speed trans that would be cool thinkin about adding the road car and the 1/8 hurricane later still practicing driving never had one with a pistol type steering
