It is a fun truck had problems but upgraded all electronics and it is cool . It is kind of funny when you are running it as how it jumps , bounces . Very fun on my track ......And it can climb really well the supension is like a crawler in a sence .

I am truely sorry to all for bashing of Redcat and there products but sometimes gets frustrating . The fingers work faster than the brain sometimes in the heat of the moment . I want to enjoy all R/C . If it is Redcat or Traxxas it is a fun hobby and love it . So to everyone sorry and lets run those trucks ........

But this needs to be resolved with Redcat , there products are getting worse . But if we bitch and moan then we are the bad guys ..............

here we go again got my esc from the Redcat company . And now my reciever went out . WOW! But I am being policed so I better shut up I guess.... Must have been my fault ..I beat the reciever ... Thought this was a free country to say what was on ones mind but was told it is not . All I want is help . Don't worry already have a upgrade radio/reciever coming , I knwe it was coming so was getting prepared for this . Redcat should sell there trucks without electronics ?? That would be the best for them and us as a buyer . Then we can add what ever we want to the truck ... Well better stop before I get in more trouble .....................YES SIR!

Wait until they want the truck sent back on your  $20 bill .. I have did that twice with my Ground Pounder . When you call you get I don't know what it could be send it back . Well I have had the Caldera's and Ground Pounder since May and to tell you the truth I do not think I have had them running without something going wrong . I am not here to bash Redcat but when they get there crap together then maybe this will not happen . A week or so my ESC went out of my Ground Pounder and did the usual warranty like I have did since May . And this time they REDCAT wanted me to send it back so they could look at it  . They wanted me to spend $3-4 to ship it back to them to say "Yup the thing is bad" ! I already knew this . People on here say it is routine to do this well man if you had to do this everytime it broke down I WOULD BE BROKE! . Message to REDCAT get better quility parts so the trucks run longer than a HOUR! Good Frickin' luck!  There support I heard was awesome and to tell you the truth there is no one ther that know a thing about fixing ther stuff . I have had more people on this board answer my questions than those so called experts . Wait until you have the truck longer rootbeerslop it will get even more costly . The thing is if you get a Redcat gut it put better quility parts on it then you have more than what the truck is worth . If I know what I know now I would have bought something else . I have four Redcat trucks and at the moment (NONE RUN) ... Man could go on and on about it but not enough page here . So good luck with your CALDERA 10E!

it is not bad luck it is just cheap parts . I thought I had back luck when I bought my Redcat but after about 1 month seeing this board and all the problems with all there products then I figured well bad company . I see so many people with problems then all that sell Redcat come on here and say upgrade this up grade that , why do we have to upgrade a truck that you have already paid $200- $300 .

Yes you buy it for $190 $200 bucks and then the upgrades with all involved you have another $150 easily . I was told that you can't compare the Caldera to the Slash , because of the price . Bull.... because all the money in upgrading the junk cheap parts then you have a Slash . So if you could buy a truck that runs and has no breakdowns and a truck you are always working on . What would you do ??? Common sence tells me the truck that is ready to run but there are people that disagree . One thing with buying Redcat trucks you learn fast how to work on stuff ........ Hard lesson though...

I think this is new as I dealt with them in May / June / July on warranty on crap that fell apart . Now in August they want you to send the broken part back and pay the shipping . So looks as there policy has changed . Not good for a company that has major problems with there trucks .... Sounds like the Earthquake is a pile to from what I see on the board .....

upgrade to a TRAXXAS SLASH for $380 . Oh I know the Redcat Caldera 10 E is $230 but the time you upgrade to all good quality parts you have $380 + in the thing that is only worth $230 . Good Deal , NOPE DON'T THINK SO!

Looks are (Deceiving) my friend .. I was told don't I get tired of bashing REDCAT , well no I do not . Here is WHY! 1. Get better quality parts 2. Get better customer care 3. Hire someone that knows something (GOOD LUCK) 4. Buy Traxxas! (That is not a why it is a Preference) This is a board for comunication right ! I am only saying what is true I am not bashing , I leave that to my SLASH . I was told buy cheap get cheap . Well first off I know exactly what you are going through have a Caldera 10 E and Ground Pounder and have had nothing but troubles . They now just sit on the shelf as I am tired of running them a hour or so then something else goes wrong . Recat vehicles are the worst I have seen .. I own a Traxxas 2 wd and Traxxas 4x4 and have had nothing wrong with them . Awesome tough trucks no wonder they won Truck of the year through RC DRIVER . Redcats warranty is a joke call them they tell you to fill out the warranty if still under warranty . Then one you fill it out takes 3 day or so to get back to you then once they screw around with you then you have a 7 days and then you will get email from Redcat part ready to ship then takes 1-2 days before it leaves then the send UPS or Pony Experess which takes another 7 days ... And now once a part breaks they want you to send it back so they can actually tell that yup that is what is wrong so maybe you might get it running in 20 + days ... As you can see you are not the only one that has had a bad experince . Mine started the day I opened the box .... WOW Some people think I just come to bash Redcat well I do not I am just telling the truth . I know Redcat stuff is cheap to buy and that is not why I bought it the trucks looked tough and fast . The thing is if you get there vehicles change all electronic and reciever . Also change the battery connectors . The banana connectors that now come with I think all there new vehicles are a joke the chargers they send with the truck are crap . Once that is done well you have a good truck . I wondered why never saw any advertising in any rc magazines , now I know why. Good Luck WIth Your Truck as I know your frustration.....

Wow you are getting it fast . I have filled out the Warranty usually takes 2-3 days before a answer then they give you a stupid answer . Once you finally get the ok to get the part then it takes another 3 days to get it processed for shipping . Then they send UPS and takes another 7 days to get it so man my friend you are getting it like overnight compared to what I get . I live in the midwest so not that far away . I get packages faster from Japan ! Oh well that is what you get when you settle for REDCAT........................

The reason I need to change the Banana Connectors out is that the charger that Redcat sends works 2 weeks then it is ready to throw . There chargers suck big time ! I have went through 5 chargers for the Calders since June !!

I do not think I would buy used ESC but thanks ! I did the warranty through Redcat now they want the used shit part back so that costs me again . Blew my motor on my Traxxas Slash after 4 months they sent it out with out any question d, doubt and took 2 days to arrive Redcat takes 1 month and your lucky if you have it ......... Redcat TRUCKS SUCK SHIT!!!!!! Anyone want REDCAT GROUND POUNDER Blue one and I also have a Amsoil truck . Also have 2 Calderas for sale . Tired of Redcats shit!!
