RE: Help! 1st gas car, FG Baja Buggy Competition 4WD, need directions
the engines in these gassers are pretty much the same as you will get in a home brand weed wacker for your lawn mowing , except that the engines the rc gasser engines make more power . once the engine has been run in and tuned for performance there is nothing else you need to do to it , so dont touch the carb settings at all after thats been done forever. i found they have more power in the cold but it does need to have a bit of warmth , like dont rev the crap out of it the second it starts , maybe wait 1minute and a half before you do that . hot or cold weather the carb settings must not be touched or it will run like crap, with these gasser engines even the slightest adjustment on the carb needles make a major imapct on how it performs , when tuning the carb you need to find the performance sweet spot then dont mess around with it . the only time you need to re adjust the carb settings is when you have installed a new piston or ring then keep tuning it untill its run in then thats it

RE: RETURN OF THE BEAST
i have just taken it out for a test run , and it goes pretty good for about 5 minutes then idles and shakes bad and engine dies , i look at the plug and its wet really bad and fouled , i think i may have set the coil gap to the flywheel TOO close and i know it , its fouling plugs too many times , even when i adjust the carb , carb is brand new so its not that , piston is new also , i think it really is the coil gap cos its not firing properly after 5 minutes of running. what can i use to set the coil gap , i dont have the coil gap tool

RE: WARNING!! - Watch out doing business with Oversize RC in Melbourne, Australia!!
it wouldnt be the first time oversizerc pulled stunts like this on their customers , it sounds like they recieved your order but were too lazy to prepare the order and send it out , but in the end everyone that complained about not getting their orders all ended up recieved them , but recieved them VERY LATE , this is the main reason i dont buy buy cheap chinese rc imports cos then this is the sort of headaches you will get from crap hobby shops such as this , stick with genuine original rc's and genuine hobby shops to avoid this LOL

RE: THIS MEANS WAR..
yeah 150mills is 25 to 1 , i have gone to 200mills in the past and it never ran good i also run a substance called liqui molli 2stroke antifriction treatment to it i add 4mills of it to the mix its powerfull stuff i once went over the recomended and it stained the entire 5 litres of fuel and didnt run properly lol its recomended 10mills to 10litres of fuel , it helps the piston reduce friction in the cylinder bore and i noticed more revs when using it
ORIGINAL: dc2 man yeah i often contemplated using 150 mill as i think im a little on the rich side now. i might try one gallon of 150 mill just to see..... why not, cant do any harm,150mill is allowed on it anyway actually it was what was reccomended to use on it,but i like to run a little rich. i must start now on needles first and see with the 200mill. RE: THIS MEANS WAR..
Lol 200 mills to 5litres is like way too much for me man, use at least 150 mills thats whats i was ment to say, And use synthetic , i used the crap klotz oil that had castor in it and it caused hard black baked on crusts on the top of my piston which ended up causing my motor to shut down and not fire up and was running like crap, castor oil is good for nitro engines cos it needs that extra lube , but castor works crap in these gasolene engines man it even smokes it up even more from the exhaust, makes the mix too gummy and thicker aswell
ORIGINAL: dc2 man ill tell you man im using 200mill of oil to 5liters oil measured in a jug... its good oil,syntetic.....but which is better syntetic or castor?? man ill tell you this engine is a dose trying to tune right, its easier on tarmac as you notice the tune cause the tyres grip straight away,on field they spin a lot..... man i must spend a bit of time today with it tuning it,its tricky. the cad engine uses almost a turn closed on each needle compared to stock engines lol seriously you seem to have a great tune on yours
RE: THIS MEANS WAR..
ORIGINAL: dc2 man ill tell you this is my first time using the 16tooth clutch pinion and its much better, now today i must retune again as yesterdays video wasnt tuned at all,i think im still too rich high end...seriously it effects low end aswell as you know if high is too rich. man the place was saturated wet here. the 16 clutch is a lot better if i get a new vid today i will throw it in my own thread
hey you know what you need to do man , is to tune your carb for high performance and speed , then increase your fuel oil mix , its what i do to mine and its never failed me . you know the 2stroke oil bottle that comes with the 5B i use that for oil measuring , i add almost one bottle and then another half to 5litres of 98 octane , and now im using a 2stroke oil called silkolene comp 2 premix and its really freaking awsome man and its loving it , jeez the higher in quality of 2stoke you go the more power is unleashed

RE: flooding 813
ORIGINAL: mooman007uk I chucked in a new shaft too...same flood city....I'm convinced now the pump piston and bore are worn...if i could find a new oring i think it would fix it but i can't find a tiny one anywhere...I'll try walbro direct as i'd like to get a new piston and oring just to see if my diagnosis is correct...if i can't source one then maybe when i get a new carb i'll pull the parts from it just so i know...I hate not knowing why
hmm okay i think my problem was something else maybe a bad fuel mix i was experimenting with, thats strange for your 813 to die , what kind of conditions did you run it in ? and how long for

RE: flooding 813
i have experienced this to my 813 aswell , when it did it i thought it was the piston ring , but now maybe it could be the 813 , i was running the 5b and all of a sudden it would bog and smoking really bad from the exhaust then shut off . could it maybe be that it needs a new modified throttle shaft ?

RE: DC2/GT5/C5/FG/EVO/ELCON/CAD/BEETLE
hey whats all the boxes in the background , are you a tiler ? also there is some horrible looking FG beetle in the middle of the pic for some reason LOL HA HA HA JUST KIDDING MAN . hey if i were you i would remove all the helical gears set up and put back the stock gears back in , but you need to change the clutch pinion to a 14t because you are running the elcon drive assembly, after thats done take it out for another run and see if the stock gears last without getting destroyed , if the stock gears get destroyed then i would start thinking that maybe the elcon drive assembly got warped
